A full refund will be made to passengers who choose not to pay an increase, provided Gate 1 receives a written cancellation within five days of the price increase notification. All prices quoted in the brochure are based on exchange rates and are subject to change without prior notice.
PAYMENTS: All final payments are due in full by April 1, 2007. Make check or money order payable to Gate 1. Cash payments are not accepted. Payment of Registration Fee constitutes agreement to all terms and conditions detailed in the Gate 1 trip program. All rates are per person in U.S. dollars, based on double occupancy and subject to change.
CHANGES AFTER REGISTRATION: Are subject to $50.00 per person, per revision in addition to any expense imposed by suppliers as a result of these changes. This includes name changes and substitutions. Last Minute Reservations: Bookings received 60 days or less prior to departure will be accepted only on full payment basis plus $200 last-minute booking fee.
AIR TRANSPORTATION: Airline schedules and flights are subject to change without notice. Gate 1 is not responsible for penalties incurred for tickets not issued by Gate 1 due to schedule and/or flight changes. Please note that airline security requires all passengers to check in at the airport three hours prior to departure. Airfares negotiated by Gate 1 limit your ability to exchange, endorse or make changes to air tickets. Seat assignments, special meals and frequent flyer miles are the sole responsibility of the traveler. Gate 1 reserves the right to substitute charter flights for scheduled service or vice versa. Actual flight schedules cannot be furnished until 21 days prior to departure.
AIRPORT TAXES & FEES: All airline tickets are subject to a variety of foreign and domestic government taxes which include security charges, the September 11th Security Fee, airport facility charges, customs and immigration fees, inspection fees and more. The total of these taxes may vary anywhere between $170 and $280 per passenger and are collected by Gate 1 Travel.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: Will be provided in accordance with the itinerary or similar. All rooms are standard twin or double bedded rooms with private facilities.
SIGHTSEEING: Will be operated by motor vehicle, the size dictated by the number of participants, at the sole discretion of the company.
ITINERARY: Occasionally, during holidays and certain periods, due to unforeseen circumstances, the local Tour Operator may have to make last-minute changes, sometimes after arrival, in the sequence of the tour and/or hotels. Therefore, we reserve the right to substitute any of the hotels with no cost adjustment. Special events and/or personalities related to the trip are subject to change and/or cancellation.
PASSENGER NAME: Passengers are responsible to ensure that the names printed on the invoice exactly match the first and last name written in their passport (middle names or initials are not needed). Due to newly introduced security measures, any name change including minor spelling corrections may require airline reservations to be canceled and re booked. Reservations are subject to availability at the time of re booking. Once full payment is received, airline tickets will be issued. Subsequent name corrections will be subject to an airline re booking fee of up to $200 per ticket plus a Gate 1 $50 revision fee per change. Gate 1 will not be held responsible for the denial of services by a carrier due to any name discrepancy. Name changes must be advised in writing.
DOCUMENTS: Will be mailed about fourteen to 30 business days prior to departure.
CANCELLATION PENALTIES: The following schedule of per-person cancellation fees applies.
Voluntary cancellations due to political instability, acts of terrorism, government intervention or US State Department warning will be subject to the above fees, provided the program is deemed (by Gate 1) able to continue. Should Gate 1 elect to cancel a departure for any of these reasons, every effort will be made to obtain refunds from suppliers (e.g. airlines, hotels, cruises), however we cannot provide guarantees on their behalf.
LUGGAGE: All tour packages allow one piece of luggage per person plus one carry-on bag. Excess luggage will be subject to charge of up to $100 per piece. Gate 1 will not be held responsible for any damage to or loss of luggage/personal items.
