Here, visit the splendid Peles Castle, former summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family, and the Sinaia monastery, erected in the 17th century. Continue to Brasov, one of the most important towns of the area during the Middle Ages. Visit the Black Church (closed on Sunday), the largest gothic building in South Eastern Europe, which houses a collection of unique oriental carpets. The tour also visits the St. Nicholas Church and the First Romanian School in Transylvania. After lunch at local restaurant, drive to Bran village and visit Dracula's Castle, built in the 1300s on a 190-foot-high promontory by the merchants of Brasov in order to protect the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Following time at leisure in the local market return to Bucharest.
