Today, enjoy a comprehensive city tour of Budapest. Beginning in Pest, view the Hungarian Parliament Building before crossing the Danube via the Margaret Bridge. The tour continues to the Royal Castle on the Buda side. Once there, visit the Fishermen's Bastion on Castle Hill and the 13th-century Matthias Coronation Church. Following a photo stop at the Citadel on Mount Gellert, which offers one of the most spectacular views of the city, cross the Elisabeth Bridge and drive toward Heroes' Square, the central site of the Millennium Memorial and the statesmen sculptures. Upon your return to the city center, enjoy views of the Opera House and St. Stephen's Basilica in passing. Departs at 10:00 a.m. Pick-up from hotel 30 minutes prior to departure time. This evening, depart Piazza San Bernardo for an illuminated tour of the Eternal City. Along the way to the famous Piazza della Repubblica, enjoy flood-lit views of the Via Veneto, Palazzo Margherita, Porta Pinciana, Villa Borghese, Piazzale Flaminio, Via Flaminia, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Augusto Imperatore, and Via del Corso. Arriving at the Piazza della Repubblica, visit Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite Baroque fountain in Rome. Continue to Piazza Venezia and enjoy charming views of the Capitol, Imperial Forum, Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Aventine Hill, and Circus Maximus. Compliment this fascinating tour of Rome by night with traditional Roman cuisine in a typical restaurant, accompanied by folk music.

This morning, depart Piazza San Bernardo, site of Moses' Fountain, and continue to the Piazza della Repubblica. The tour is designed to take you through the ages of Rome, starting from the Spanish Steps and reaching Piazza di Spagna featuring the famous fountain la Barcaccia" designed by Pietro Bernini. Proceed to the Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite Baroque fountain in Rome, before heading to the best preserved of all Roman buildings, the Pantheon, whose original dome is the largest surviving from antiquity in the world. Stop and admire the famous Piazza Navona, erected over the ruins of Domitian's Circus. Continue to the square of the Capitol, and admire the unique sight of the Forum, Colosseum and Palatine Hill, one of Rome's most ancient districts. Walk along the pavement of the original Roman grid, which crosses the ruins of the Roman Forum, the Curia, and the Reggia. Enjoy views of the Temple of Vesta, the Arch of Titus and the Triumphal Arch of Constantine. Continue with an inside tour of the Colosseum, a giant amphitheater used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles, and the largest building ever built in the Roman Empire. The tour concludes with a visit to the church of St. Peter in Chains, where Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses is housed.

Continue toward Pompeii for lunch in a typical restaurant, followed by a short visit to a nearby coral and cameo factory. Afterward, visit the excavated ruins of this incredibly well preserved Roman town, destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
