    DAY 1, Tuesday - Depart the USA
    Depart the USA for Serbia. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey

    DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive in Belgrade
    Arrive in Belgrade and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and orientation at a traditional restaurant in the old bohemian quarter of Skadarlija

    DAY 3 , Thursday - Belgrade City Tour
    This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour to view Belgrade's main attractions including a visit to the imposing Kalemegdan Fortress which is dramatically situated above the Sava and Danube Rivers. Other tour attractions include the Republic Square and Knez Mihajlova street, the Saint Sava Temple, the largest Orthodox Church in the city, as well as Tito's Memorial

    DAY 4, Friday - Nis City Tour En route to Skopje
    After breakfast, depart for Nis, Serbia's third largest city. While in Nis you will have an orientation tour and lunch before continuing into Skopje, arriving in the late afternoon

    DAY 5, Saturday - Skopje City Tour
    This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour in Skopje that includes the Memorial Holocaust Museum of Macedonian Jews, the old railway and the Earthquake Memorial Park. You will also visit the monument of Mother Teresa, the old Turkish stone bridge and the Alexander the Great statue. After the city tour, continue towards Ohrid along the canyon of the Radika River for wonderful views and a visit to the St. Jovan Bigorski Monastary. Drive along Crni River, Debar Lake and the city of Debar before arriving into Ohrid for a traditional dinner and folk music

    DAY 6, Sunday - Ohrid City Tour
    The walking tour begins in the old town-museum of Ohrid which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was known as “City of Lights” in the ancient world. Ohrid has also become known as the “City of 365 Churches” and the tour will include many of the most important ones. The tour finishes with a walk through the local bazaar. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure

    DAY 7, Monday - Bitola
    In the morning depart for Bitola through the mountain region of Galichica where you will have spectacular views of both Ohrid Lake and Prespa Lake. Arrive into Bitola in the afternoon and enjoy a visit to the Hellcat ruins

    DAY 8, Tuesday - Pella En route to Thessaloniki
    After breakfast depart for Greece and visit Pella, an archaeological site and the birthplace of Alexander the Great and home to several beautiful mosaics from that time period. Arrive to Thessaloniki and enjoy a dinner of Greek food accompanied with traditional dancing and Buzuki music

    DAY 9, Wednesday - Thessaloniki City Tour
    Spend the day in a city that has combined the influences of the Hellenic, the Roman, the Byzantine and the Ottoman Empires. The tour this morning will visit the White Tower, the Saint Demitrios Church and the Jewish Museum. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure exploring the cities architectural diversity

    DAY 10, Thursday - Melnik En route to Bansko
    After breakfast travel to the small town of Melnik, just over the Bulgarian border to enjoy to a wine tasting. Continue to Bansko for a folklore show and dinner this evening

    DAY 11, Friday - Rila Monastery En route to Sofia
    On the way to Sofia stop for an extended visit to the Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Monastery has played a key role in the preservation of Bulgarian culture, history and language since it was founded in the middle of the 10th century. Visit the monastery church, home to amazing frescoes, and the monastery museum before continuing towards Sofia for dinner

    DAY 12, Saturday - Sofia City Tour
    This morning enjoy a walking city tour of Sofia including a visit to the National History Museum where the gold and silver Thracian treasures are displayed. Highlights of this museum include the Alexander Nevski Cathedral and Crypt. The tour also includes St. Sofia Church, Parliament Square, the monument of King Liberator, Russina Church, the National theater, the National Art Gallery and many more impressive sites. Enjoy leisure time in the afternoon to continue your exploration of Sofia
