You will be accompanied by an English speaking tour escort on the overnight train from Beijing to Xian.

There are 9 cabins per car, 4 berths per cabin. Reservation is for a soft sleeper berth. You will not share a cabin with anyone other than your travel companion(s). For example, If you have 3 people on your reservation and have reserved two rooms, one double and one single, you will get two cabins on the train.

There are two washrooms per car. These are shared.

A hot dinner will be provided, at a local restaurant, prior to boarding the train.

There is one dining room in the middle of the train. Snacks can be purchased throughout the ride.

Your luggage will be transported separately. You will not have access to your luggage during your overnight on the train between Beijing and Xian. Prior to departure for the train, it is important to prepare an overnight bag with all necessary medication, toiletries and clothing that you will need for your overnight on the train. Checked luggage is required to be locked in advance. You can pack your own lock before departing the U.S. or a luggage lock can be purchased before checking your luggage for approximately $1.50 per lock.
