10 Day Costa Rica Fly & Drive with Tortuguero & Manuel Antonio or Jaco, July 2010 Our trip was amazing!!! Everything went off without a hitch, no problems with our reservations whatsoever, from airline check-in to hotels, rental car, etc. Flawless the whole way through!!!! The country of Costa Rica is beautiful! The local people are very helpful, (and most speak English very well), the food was great, and the weather cooperated, even though it was the "wet" season, we had very little rain! There is so much to see and do and not really enough time to experience it all. We are already talking about going back!!! The hotels were beyond my expectations- especially the Volcano Lodge and Gardens in Arenal- one of the nicest hotels I've ever been to. 8 Day Costa Rica Fly & Drive with Manuel Antonio or Jaco, July 2010 The trip was great! The location of the hotel in San Jose was perfect for those doing a fly/drive, and the accommodations were wonderful. The airport to hotel transfer was great as well, and Wilfed, our Adobe representative, was very professional and helpful. Tilajari Resort was beautiful, and the Montana at Monteverde was wonderful as well. The road from Lake Arenal to Monteverde was even more jarring than advertised, but we managed it fine. We also enjoyed our stay at Jaco Beach. All in all, another fine trip with Gate 1. -- Justin M. Marco Island, FL |

7 Day Costa Rica Fly & Drive, June 2010 We had a wonderful time. The flights and accommodations were wonderful. The proposed agenda worked well. We would recommend that in the future, travels be permitted to forego the first night's stay in San Jose and proceed directly to the inland. With the mid-afternoon arrival, there is little to do in San Jose. 7 Day Costa Rica Fly & Drive, June 2010 Our trip was wonderful! Everything went very smoothly. The hotels were very nice, people were friendly, and driving was reasonable. The second hotel was quite a ways from sites, but we needed only to book a tour to be picked up if we did not want to drive, and although tours were not cheap, they were reasonable. 5 Day Classic Guatemala, June 2010 We had a wonderful trip! Very different from what we expected; it was fascinating, revealing, affecting, an opening view to the forces of culture, politics and nature. Carlos, our guide, was truly extraordinary, organizing a journey through the mysteries and complexities of his country. We thought he was superb. The accommodations were great. We were a little disappointed with the visit to Tikal, which to us involved too much jungle racing and not enough time to learn and observe; we didn't travel there to hike and climb but to appreciate the splendors. 5 Day Classic Guatemala, June 2010 The trip to Guatemala was wonderful. We were worried prior to the trip because of the news of the volcano erupting, tropical storm Agatha, and the sinkhole. However, everything was okay, and the trip far exceeded our expectations. The airport transfer shuttle was there as soon as we arrived; the hotel staff were friendly and courteous, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We have recommended this trip and the Gate 1 website to our friends. We had such a great experience that we booked a trip to Costa Rica with Gate 1 for this coming September. 8 Day Costa Rica Fly & Drive with Manuel Antonio or Jaco, June 2010 We had an absolute blast! I would definitely recommend GPS for the rental car as it was a complete lifesaver! Gate 1 Travel put together the perfect itinerary and we don't feel like missed out on anything. The people were very friendly and we enjoyed everywhere we stayed. The one exception was probably the Best Western in Jaco. It was clean, but very worn and definitely geared toward the young, single college student, rather than the family traveler. A disco pounded away into the late hours both nights we were there! Otherwise, we couldn't have asked for a better trip. On the plane home, we were already talking about seeing what other vacations you have available so that we can plan our next trip! Thank you so much for all of your help. -- Keri M. Katy, TX |
