Alexandria, Egypt

Hide Info Depart the city of Alexandria in a luxury motor coach en route to Africa’s largest city, the teeming metropolis of Cairo. Your first stop will be at Tahrir (Liberty) Square, the heart of Cairo. Visit the National Archaeological Museum and acquaint yourself with Egypt’s ancient history, spanning a period of over 50 centuries. The Museum is the repository of the world’s largest and richest collection of Egyptian Antiquities amongst them the priceless collection of King Tutankhamen. At the banks of the River Nile, a luxurious cruise boat awaits to sail you on the same timeless waterway traversed by pharaohs, queens and nobles thousands of years ago. Enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch in elaborate interiors as you glide past Cairo’s waterfront landmarks. For your entertainment, a folkloric presentation and belly dancing will take place during lunch. After lunch drive to the Giza Plateau, where the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, the Pyramids of Giza still stands. Visit the Pyramids and enjoy panoramic views from the Western Plateau. Your coach will park at the base of Chephren’s pyramid where you will have time to explore on your own. Continue down the valley where the guardian of this mortuary complex, the mighty Sphinx lies watching the passage of time. Visit the Papyrus Institute where the art of paper making from reeds discovered by the Ancient Egyptians will be demonstrated for you. Return this evening to Port Said where you will meet your ship.

Hide Info Depart from Alexandria in luxury motor coach for Africa’s largest city, the teeming metropolis of Cairo. Your first stop will be at the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Admire the exquisite interiors of the Mosque and view the fascinating skyline of Old Cairo from the top of the hill. Drive southwards to Egypt’s first capital, Memphis, with its ancient cemetery of Sakkara. Here, the world’s first monumental stone building, the Step Pyramid of King Zoser built by the engineer Imhotep almost 5,000 years ago still stands. After visiting the complex continue to one of the Mastabas (funerary chambers) built nearby, followed by lunch at the Sakkara Café.

Visit a Papyrus Institute where the process of paper making from reeds, an art discovered by the Ancient Egyptians will be demonstrated. Continue onto the exotic and colorful Khan El Khalili Bazaar filled with precious metals and stones, exotic spices and leather goods. Enjoy free time to at leisure before returning to the ship in Port Said.

Ashdod (Jerusalem), Israel

Hide Info Upon your arrival into Jerusalem, drive through West Jerusalem passing by the Knesset - Israel Parliament, the Supreme Court and the Museum of Israel with the Shrine of the Book. Continue onto the Gethsemane Garden and the Church of All Nation. Gethsemane garden is at the foot of the Mount of Olives, famous as the place where Jesus and his disciples prayed the night before Jesus' crucifixion. According to Orthodox tradition, Gethsemane is the garden where the Apostles buried the Virgin Mary. The Church of All Nations, also known as the Church or Basilica of the Agony is a Roman Catholic church which enshrines a section of bedrock where Jesus is said to have prayed before his arrest.

Afterwards you will have a guided walking tour through the famous quarters of the old city. Until the 1860s this area constituted the entire city of Jerusalem. The Old City is home to several sites of key religious importance: the Temple Mount and its Western Wall for Jews, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for Christians, and the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa Mosque for Muslims. Proceed to the Wailing Wall, sometimes referred to as the Kotel and as al-Buraaq Wall by Muslims. The tour will continue to Bethlehem, where you will have lunch in a oriental restaurant, followed by free time. Visit the Church of the Nativity, one of the oldest continuously operating churches in the world before returning to the ship this evening.

Hide Info A pleasant drive will bring you from the port to the picturesque hills of Nazareth. Upon your arrival to Nazareth, you will Visit St. Gabriel Church and Mary’s Spring. The church, also known as St. Gabriel's Greek Orthodox Church or the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, is located over an underground spring that according to Eastern Orthodox belief is where the Virgin Mary was drawing water at the time of the Annunciation.

Relax at a lunch break in a local restaurant, and board the motorcoach for a panoramic drive through ancient Tiberias to Capernaum, a settlement on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Explore the ruins where you will see the ancient synagogue and the House of St. Peter. The following sites include the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fishes and the Mount of the Beatitudes. This evening return to the vessel.

Limassol, Cyprus

Hide Info Depart via motorcoach for the ancient city kingdom of Curium, one of the most important archaeological sites of the island. Originally built in the 2nd century B.C., the magnificent Greco-Roman Theatre is now fully restored and is used for musical and theatrical performances. Visit the House of Eustolios with its stunning 5th century mosaics as well as its unique complex of baths with mosaic floors. Continue onto the Sanctuary of Apollo Ylatis and the medieval castle built in the 14th century and how houses the Cyprus Medieval Museum. Enjoy free time on your own in Limassol's old town, before you head back to the port.

On your way, pass Aphrodite’s Rock, the birthplace of the Goddess of Love and Beauty, who according to the legend, arose from the foaming waves at this spot. Continue onto Geroskipou village, where you will visit the Byzantine church of Ayia Paraskevi, one of only two Churches in Cyprus with five domes forming a cross.

Proceed to the Tombs of the Kings, a Hellenistic cemetery of monumental tombs dating back to the 4th century B.C., and then onto the House of Dionysos housing magnificent mosaics depicting scenes from Greek mythology. Enjoy free time in the picturesque harbor of Paphos before returning to the ship.

Antalya, Turkey

Hide Info Visit the Theatre of Aspendos, designed by the Architect Zeno during the era of Marcus Aurelius in 161-180 A.D. The theater was periodically repaired by the Seljuks who used it as a caravansary. It is one of the best preserved theaters and today it is used for concerts and festivals.

Continue onto the antique town of Perge, an important city of ancient Pamphylian which was originally settled by the Hittites around 1500 B.C. Amateur archaeologists will want to see the handsome city gate flanked by two lofty towers, a long colonnaded road once paved with mosaics and lined with shops, public baths and a gymnasium. On your way back to the port, stop at the famous Jewelry Centre where you will have the chance to see a special demonstration on jewelry crafting and free time for a bit of shopping.

Santorini, Greece

Accompanied by your guide, explore the village walking along the cobble-stone streets and white washed houses adorned with blue shutters. Here, you will have time to stroll along the lanes of the little town or relax over a coffee as you gaze down upon Kamenes, the two black volcanic islets in the Caldera Bay. Sail along the strange formations of its volcanic shores, where black lava rocks and white pumice combine beautifully with the red color of lava. Take a walk to the top of the volcanic island and enjoy the surreal landscape as your guide explains the creation and history of the volcano. Board the boat and continue sailing, admiring the breathtaking sight of Fira with its white washed houses clinging precariously on the rim of the Caldera. Take time to swim in the warm waters, before continuing to the town of Fira.
