The trip was absolutely wonderful! Everything was perfect from start to finish. Our group was fun and some of us are actually thinking about going to China with Gate 1 next summer. Hassam, our tour director, was outstanding. He went above and beyond the call of duty at all times and his knowledge base is incredible. He is exceptional! Thanks again for all of you help!

The trip was amazing and perfect. I especially would like to mention our tour guide, Karima. She is so knowledgeable and interesting. Without her the trip would not have been what it was. Going to all of the Egyptian temples and seeing everything would have just been a bunch of rocks with writings on them. But she really explained everything in detail and told all of the stories. If I go to Egypt again I would do what I could to get on one of her tours.

Everything was well organized and I would definitely choose Gate 1 again based on my experience on this trip.

It was 100 times better than I imagined it would be. We had a nice small group of super people and the most wonderful guide, Fatma. We were on the go every day but there is so very much to see and learn about. Fatma was the perfect guide, super knowledgeable, sweet, kind and funny. My camera battery died during the plane ride from the states and I was unable to find a replacement. She contacted a store in Cairo and had the battery delivered before midnight. The sites were phenomenal and wondrous, the food delicious, the weather just what it should be in the desert in the summer. The accommodations were super. The staff aboard the river boat were perfect and the entertainment was so fun. The only thing not quite on an equal plane was the hotel Iberotol in Cairo near the Pyramids. It just seemed a step lower in class. All in all I would highly recommend this trip to everyone and I would do it again in a heartbeat. There is so much to see, it would easily take a month to see just half of the wonders of Egypt. My heartfelt thanks to Gate 1 Travel.

The trip was really wonderful! We all had a great time. My girls enjoyed themselves very much. The entire group was great; really nice people. Everyone got along and enjoyed each other's company.

Our guide, Amro, was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and culture. He handled every detail so the trip ran very smoothly. Every leg of the trip was on time; every flight, bus, tour, etc. Amro was friendly and helpful and everyone really enjoyed his services.

The sights were incredible. We did decide to go to Abu Simbel, which we booked through Amro. The temples were magnificent, one more amazing than the other. The cruise was very relaxing and a lot of fun. It was very hot, but of course, the weather is under no one's control. It did make it difficult to enjoy some of the sites, especially the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, because of the stifling heat.

The thing which I would say we all like the least was how aggressive the people were when trying to sell things. The bazaar in Cairo was overwhelming, especially since it was our first day in Egypt and none of us were used to pushiness of the vendors. Also, the stalls were so close to each other that you really did get the feeling that people were coming at you from all sides. Another suggestion would be for Gate 1 to have bags of small change (Egyptian pounds) available so we could have exchanged our larger bills. We really needed the pounds for the bathrooms, but it was very difficult for us to get small currency. The exchange facilities wanted to give you larger denominations, and we had trouble getting it changed to smaller.

The trip was amazing and fabulous. It was also hot, but it didn't really interfere with my participating in everything. Our tour guide, Tarek, was so informative, knowledgeable and helpful. I could not have had a better guide---what an experience!!!!! Thanks for an extremely well-run travel experience.
