	15 Day Egypt with Red Sea & 7 Day Nile Cruise, November 2010 Our trip was wonderful. The ship and hotels were very nice. The best part of our trip was our guide Shareen. She was by far the best guide we have ever experienced. Her knowledge of Egypt and its history was extensive, but she had a way of bringing it all to life and making it interesting for a group of forty people, which was no easy task. She also kept everything running smoothly even though the schedules had to be changed a couple of times. She addressed every issue in a timely and pleasant manner and was always a joy to spend time with. She made our trip a thousand times better and we feel honored to have met her. -- Diana & Mark D. 	9 Day Affordable Egypt with 3 Day Nile Cruise, November 2010 I must commend Gate 1 Travel on providing me with a fantastic trip to Egypt. It far exceeded my expectations in every respect. I could not have asked for more delightful, intelligent, informative and energetic tour guides, they too went above and beyond with I think was required of them (such as booking a felucca ride on the Nile when we had a few extra hours at sunset!) Air Egypt was also a surprising delight, it is an excellent airline. 	10 Day Discovery of Egypt with 4 Day Nile Cruise, November 2010 The trip was all we could have hoped for. The accommodations, meals and tours were all first class. I have to tell you how wonderful our tour guide, Hrasha, was. She went way beyond what was necessary to make every facet of our trip a wonderful, rewarding experience. I cannot stress enough how much all of us on the trip enjoyed her in depth knowledge of Egyptian history, devotion to her task of keeping track of her many charges at various venues and of course her beautiful disposition and helpfulness in all aspects of our travels. She displayed absolute professionalism in every aspect of her duties. I would highly recommend Gate 1 travel to anybody and plan on using your organization for future trips as well. -- Fred D. 	15 Day Egypt with Red Sea & 7 Day Nile Cruise, November 2010 My sister and I had the most wonderful time in Egypt, I would highly recommend the tour to anyone who is considering going there. Our tour guide, Neveen, was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable on everything from temples to our smallest concerns and most professional. 	12 Day Egypt with Red Sea & 4 Day Nile Cruise, November 2010 The trip was wonderful and we enjoyed every moment, though hectic. Planning and coordination was amazing. We never had to wait for anything. Planning for visits and timing were perfect and helped us see most of Egypt. Our guide, Hassan, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and he really took care of all our needs. The cruise on the Nile was enjoyable and brought together all members of the group. 	15 Day Egypt with Red Sea & 7 Day Nile Cruise, October 2010 This was the best group tour that we have taken, due partly to our fantastic tour guide, Ayman, and because the group was so small. We all agreed we were very lucky. Our experience in Egypt was much better than we had anticipated. If you haven't been, you must go. The sights, sounds, and the warm people who would greet you with "Welcome" made it an amazing trip. John and I even managed to cross the streets of Cairo and Alexandria in spite of the chaotic traffic and constant beeping of horns, sometimes with the kindness of strangers. -- Mary Kate T. 	10 Day Discovery of Egypt with 4 Day Nile Cruise, October 2010 I’ve just returned from my 10-day tour of Egypt, led by our wonderful guide, Amir Hassan, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the accommodations, service, and itinerary provided by Gate 1 Travel. This is the first trip I’ve taken with Gate 1, and I had initial misgivings because of the relatively low price, compared to some of the other tour companies I had checked. But from the moment we checked in at JFK for our flight to Cairo and were met 11 hours later by our Gate 1 host, my misgivings were replaced by satisfaction and quickly grew into delight. I went to Egypt to see the antiquities, and this tour covered all the highlights, as well as many treasures (e.g., Philae and Kom Ombo) that I was not previously familiar with. My appreciation of each temple, tomb, and monument we visited was enhanced by Amir’s knowledgeable orientation combined with sufficient free time to explore on my own. An unexpected bonus was getting introduced by Amir to modern Egypt and learning more about the culture and people, culminating with a wonderful visit to a local farm in Luxor where we got to meet a 3-generation family. Our hotel accommodations ranged from very good (Mercure le Sphinx) to excellent (Pavillon Winter and Radisson Blu). The meals provided (breakfasts at the hotels and all meals aboard the Nile Admiral) included a bountiful variety of local dishes along with more familiar “American” fare and tempting desserts. And what could be a more relaxing and wonderful way to see Egypt than from the top-deck of a well-appointed ship! But perhaps most noteworthy is the service provided by Gate 1. When we arrived at each hotel, our room keys (and rooms) were ready. Bags were delivered within minutes to our rooms. Check-in at the airports for inter-Egypt flights was efficient and hassle-free. Our transfers between sights were pleasant, thanks to clean buses and plentiful (and cheap!) bottled water. I’ll definitely recommend Gate 1 to friends and hope to travel with you again soon. -- Margaret S. Waban, MA
