DAY 4, Sunday - Regensburg City Tour
Arrive in Regensburg in the early afternoon, one of Germany's best preserved medieval cities. Enjoy a walking tour of the city that includes the Old Town Hall, the Dom St. Peter, the Roman Gates at Porta Pretoria, and one of the oldest stone bridges over the Danube. Enjoy dinner on board this evening, while sailing for Passau, meeting point of the Inn, Ilz and Danube Rivers

Your morning tour of Vienna begins with a drive along the famed Ringstrasse, Vienna's main boulevard, to the Hofburg Palace. Walk the courtyards to the Vienna State Opera House, continuing to view the Parliament, St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural History, and City Hall. Afternoon at leisure. This evening, celebrate your last night abroad at the captain's farewell dinner, followed by an evening concert in the heart of Vienna, featuring the works of Mozart and Strauss

Optional Excursion Discount Package ($219) includes: (1) Travel through the picturesque landscape of Southern Bohemia for Cesky Krumlov, one of the most wonderful medieval cities in Central Europe, situated at a ford in the Vltava River. Declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site in 1992, Cesky Krumlov has earned an international reputation for its State Castle and Chateau, one of the largest and best preserved in Central Europe. Upon arrival, stroll thru the narrow alleys of the historic old town, home to more than three-hundred buildings in the Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance styles, and enjoy the spectacular view of the castle and chateau. Afterwards, continue to a local restaurant for lunch, followed by free time to explore Cesky Krumlov on your own (value $89)*.
(2) Full day excursion to Salzburg, the famous cultural setting for the Sound of Music. Enjoy a walking tour of the city and see many historic sights for which Salzburg is known, including Mirabella Palace, the house where Mozart lived, Nonnberg Abbey, Salzburg Cathedral, and St. Peter's Cemetery. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and time at leisure to explore Salzburg on your own (value $79).
(3) In Vienna, enjoy a ride on the world-famous Riesenrad, a giant ferris wheel. Originally constructed over a hundred years ago, the 200-foot Riesenrad has an assortment of enclosed gondolas featuring various motifs. Afterward, visit the Hofburg Imperial Palace, which served as the royal residence of the Habsburg Dynasty. Today it serves as the official residence of the President of Austria and houses numerous artifacts and works of fine art.
