DAY 1, Saturday or Thursday - Depart the USA
Depart the USA for Austria. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey

DAY 2, Sunday or Friday - Arrive in Vienna
Arrive and transfer to your ship in Vienna. Embarkation begins at 3 pm. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner and crew introduction. This evening explore such seasonal sites as the "Rathaus" Christmas Market, overflowing with holiday spirit. Vendors offer hot mulled wine, roasted nuts, and the elaborately crafted ornaments for which the markets are famous

DAY 3, Monday or Saturday - Full Day in Vienna
Your morning tour of Vienna begins with a drive along the famed Ringstrasse, Vienna's main boulevard. View the hub of the Hapsburg Empire, and walk the courtyards to view sites such as the Vienna State Opera House, Parliament and St. Stephen's Cathedral. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure to further discover Vienna on your own

DAY 4, Tuesday or Sunday - Daylight Sailing
This morning arrive in Durnstein, and enjoy free time to stroll this quintessential village in the heart of the Wachau wine district. Continue cruising late this morning and relax on board as you sail through the scenic Wachau Valley. Later, enjoy a guided tour of the historic Benedictine Abbey in Melk, considered one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Europe. On the tour you will have the opportunity to view the abbot's chambers, the Kaiser's walk and the library. Depart this evening just before dinner for Passau

DAY 5, Wednesday or Monday - Afternoon in Passau
This morning the ship will make a brief technical stop to drop off passengers joining the optional tour to Salzburg. The ship will continue sailing, and arrive to Passau this afternoon where remaining guests will have the opportunity to explore the city independently. Most well known for St. Stephen's Cathedral and its historic Altstatd, or Old City district, the city boasts many fine examples of Baroque and Gothic architecture. In the early evening, all passengers will rejoin the ship and set sail for Regensburg just before dinner

DAY 6, Thursday or Tuesday - Regensburg City Tour
This morning arrive in Regensburg. Enjoy a walking tour of the city, built in 179 BC by the Romans, today it stands as one of the largest and most well preserved cities in Bavaria. The tour includes such sights as the Old Town Hall, the Dom St. Peter, the Roman Gates at Porta Pretoria, and one of the oldest stone bridges over the Danube. This afternoon visit the Christmas markets in the Old Town to pick up that perfect holiday souvenir. This evening set sail for Nuremberg

DAY 7, Friday or Wednesday - Nuremberg City Tour
This afternoon arrive in Nuremberg and enjoy a panoramic city tour. View the Imperial Castle, the 900 year old ramparts, and the Justice Palace. Continue by foot through the medieval alleyways to the main market square where you will have free time to explore the Christmas markets. This evening, bid farewell to your traveling companions at a Captain's farewell dinner on board

Passengers returning from Munich on Day 8 should select flights that depart no earlier than 11:00 am. The Munich airport is approximately a 2 hour drive from the Nuremberg port.

Due to physical constraints and space limitations, wheelchairs and walkers are not allowed on motor coaches and/or river cruises. There are no elevators or chair lifts on board. Kindly refer to our Terms for additional information.
