DAY 2, Sunday or Friday - Arrive in Budapest
Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure

DAY 3, Monday or Saturday - Full Day in Budapest
Your morning tour begins in Pest and views the Parliament, Royal Palace, Heroes' Square, and Market Hall. Continue across the Danube via the Chain Bridge to the Buda Hills. Visit the Citadel on Mount Gellert, providing one of the most spectacular views of the city, before continuing to the 13th century Matthias Coronation Church and Fisherman's Bastion on Castle Hill. In the afternoon, depart for the artisans village of Szentendre and enjoy time on your own upon arrival

DAY 4, Tuesday or Sunday - Transfer to Vienna/Embarkation
This morning transfer to Vienna for embarkation. Tonight enjoy a gala welcome dinner on board, followed by a visit to the "Rathaus" Christmas Market at City Hall

DAY 5, Wednesday or Monday - Full Day in Vienna
Your morning tour of Vienna begins with a drive along the famed Ringstrasse, Vienna's main boulevard, to the Hofburg Palace. Walk the courtyards to the Vienna State Opera House, continuing to view the Parliament, St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural History, and City Hall. Afternoon at leisure. After dinner on board, enjoy an evening concert in the heart of Vienna, featuring the works of Mozart and Strauss

DAY 6, Thursday or Tuesday - Melk Abbey Tour

DAY 7, Friday or Wednesday - Afternoon in Passau
Enjoy daylight sailing to Passau and view the "Schloegener Schlinge," a beautiful part of the Danube with an unusual natural loop. Arrive in Passau, meeting point of the Inn, Ilz and Danube Rivers, and enjoy a walking tour of the city. This evening, enjoy dinner on board while sailing to Regensburg

Optional Excursion Discount Package ($149) includes: (1) Full day excursion to Salzburg, the famous cultural setting for the Sound of Music. This walking city tour takes you to see some of the historic sights for which Salzburg is known, including Mirabella Palace, the house where Mozart lived, Nonnberg Abbey, Salzburg Cathedral, and St. Peter's Cemetery. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and time at leisure to explore Salzburg on your own (value $99).
(2) Enjoy a ride on the world-famous Riesenrad, a giant ferris wheel. Originally constructed over a hundred years ago, the 200-foot Riesenrad has an assortment of enclosed gondolas featuring various motifs. Afterward, visit the Hofburg Imperial Palace, which served as the royal residence of the Habsburg Dynasty. Today it serves as the official residence of the President of Austria and houses numerous artifacts and works of fine art. Lastly, enjoy coffee and Sachertorte, a signature Viennese culinary specialty, at a prominent coffee house. (value $59). Total value: $158.
