DAY 1, Monday - Depart the USA
Depart the USA to Greece. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey
DAY 2, Tuesday - Arrive in Athens
Arrive in Athens and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure
Overnight: Athens
DAY 3, Wednesday - Corinth and Delphi Sightseeing
Depart Athens via the scenic coastal road to the Corinth Canal. On arrival, visit the ancient town of Corinth where St. Paul lived and preached for two years. Visit the city's main archaeological sites, including the Agora and the 6th century Temple of Apollo. Continue via Thebes and Levadia to the quaint village of Arachova, where you may enjoy time at leisure. Continue to Delphi. This afternoon, visit the Castalia Spring, where pilgrims purified themselves before entering the Sanctuary of Apollo

DAY 4, Thursday - Drive to Kalambaka
Enjoy the morning at leisure in Delphi. This afternoon, drive via Karditsa and Trikala to Kalambaka, a small town situated amid smooth sandstone cliffs in the foothills of Meteora. Meteora's name, meaning "suspended in air" is exceptionally apt, with towering rock pillars soaring over a thousand feet above the plain

DAY 5, Friday - Meteora and Kalambaka, Drive to Athens
Spend the morning at leisure in Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that boasts some of Greece's most significant and distinctive monasteries. Free time in Kalambaka before departing for Athens. Continue via Larissa past Thermopylae, arriving in Athens in the early evening

The tour begins with a panoramic drive through the city center of Athens. View Constitution Square, the Houses of Parliament, and the Evzones, an elite unit of light infantry, wearing their traditional uniform. Continue on to the Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first modern Olympic Games and the only major all-marble stadium in the world. Then, visit the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch. Finally, visit the Acropolis to see such monuments as the Propylea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechteion, and the Parthenon, often considered the most perfectly proportioned building ever constructed.

Today's tour of Istanbul includes a cruise on the Bosphorus, with lunch. The tour begins with a visit to the famous Istanbul Spice Market before boarding a ferry, crossing the Bosphorus into Europe and Asia. While visiting both Europe and Asia, enjoy stops along the way to photograph the 15th century Rumelihisari Fortress, as well as various summer palaces and old wooden homes. The cruise terminates at the fishing village of Sariyer, close to the Black Sea. After lunch, enjoy a pleasant drive to Camlica Hill on the Asian side, via the Bosphorus Bridge, to see Istanbul in beautiful panorama. For
your final stop, visit the Beylerbeyi Palace, the former summer residence of the Ottoman Sultans, to see its original furnishings and formal gardens.(L)
The Beylerbeyi Palace is closed on Monday and Thursday. Likewise, the Spice Market is closed on Sunday, as well as the following holiday dates: Sept 30 - Oct 2, Dec 8 - 11, 2008.
The Beylerbeyi Palace will be closed for renovations from June through October 2008 and will be replaced in the tour with the Dolmabahce Palace during that time.
