    DAY 3 - Rome City Tour
    Today explore Rome independently. You may want to take a tour of "ancient Rome" by visiting the Roman Forum, the political center during the Roman Republic, the triumphal Arch of Constantine, the Arch of Titus and the Colosseum the largest amphitheater built in the Roman Empire

    DAY 4 - Full Day in Rome
    Enjoy another full day of exploration in Rome. Perhaps begin your tour with the visit to the Vatican Museums and Michelangelo's breathtaking Sistine Chapel. Stroll through St. Peter's Square, passing Bernini's famous colonnade, to visit St. Peter's Basilica, where you will view Michelangelo's Pieta. This highly-finished marble sculpture depicts the body of Jesus in the arms of Mary after the Crucifixion, and is considered one of the most powerfully moving works of art in the Western world

    DAY 5 - Embark Cruise

    This morning at 7:00 am, arrive in Livorno, located in the heart of the Tuscany region of Italy. Enjoy the beautiful countryside or opt to visit nearby Florence and Pisa. Florence is known as the birthplace of the Renaissance and is world renowned for its art galleries, including the Accademia of Fine Arts, where Michelangelo's David is housed, and the Uffizi Gallery. Pisa is home to spectacular churches as well as the iconic Leaning Tower. This evening at 8:00 pm, sail to Monte Carlo

    DAY 8 - Afternoon in Barcelona
    Arrive in Barcelona at 12:00 pm. Perhaps stop at Park Guell, one of Barcelona's largest urban parks designed by Gaudi, the famous Catalan architect. Originally planned to be an exclusive area for the richest families of Barcelona's bourgeoisie, it was later opened to the public. Though the park was never fully completed, it is considered one of Gaudi's most colorful and playful works. The ship will remain docked in Barcelona overnight.     Today at 8:00 am, dock in Naples, located on Italy's breathtaking southern coast. Explore this picturesque city, or join an excursion to see the impressive sites in the area. Go to the city of Pompeii, destroyed by the Volcano Vesuvius in 79 AD, and has remained remarkably well-preserved by the ash that buried it, or marvel at the natural beauty of Italy's Amalfi Coast, including the Isle of Capri, with its towering rock cliffs and turquoise waters. Pass by Villa Borghese, one of Europe's most elegant parks, and previous estate of the noble Borghese family. The tour continues to the Vatican Museum and Galleries, where you will find galleries of chandeliers, tapestries, geographical maps, the Sobiesky Hall and the Immaculate Conception Hall. From here, visit the Sistine Chapel and behold the great frescoes by Michelangelo. Passing through the Vatican Hall, continue to the Basilica of Saint Peter, one of the four major basilicas of Rome, and burial site of its namesake, Saint Peter.

    Please note that on Wednesdays during the Holy Father's Audience, the visit inside St. Peter's Basilica will not take place.
