Missing a vacation is bad enough. Therefore, we recommend that you purchase Travel Protection for your Gate 1 trip. At any time before you complete Final Payment, you may choose to purchase Travel Protection that helps provide coverage for Trip Cancellation, Interruption, Baggage Loss or Delay, Pre-Existing Medical Conditions and more.
The protection plan premium is non-refundable after a 10 day review period. In order to qualify for the Pre-Existing Medical Condition portion of Plan coverage, Travel Protection must be added within 21 days of booking date for the full cost of all travel arrangements that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions. In addition, you must be medically able to travel at the time the premium is paid.

Travel Protection plan provided by Arch Insurance provides insurance coverage for your trip that applies only during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of this policy with your existing life, health, home and automobile policies. If you have any questions about your current coverage, call your insurer, insurance agent or broker. The purchase of this plan is not required in order to purchase any other travel product or service offered to you by your travel retailer. Insurance coverages are underwritten by Arch Insurance Company, NAIC #11150, under policy series LTP 2013 and endorsements thereto. Cancel for Any Reason Waiver Benefit - Provided by Gate 1
Gate 1’s Cancel For Any Reason Waiver allows you to cancel your trip up to 72 hours before your scheduled departure for any reason and receive a credit equal to the full cost of your Gate 1 travel arrangements, less the cost of deposit(s), late/amendment fees, and insurance premium cost. Any benefit payable under the Gate 1 Cancel for Any Reason Waiver will be reduced by the amount of any cancellation benefits paid or payable by the Gate 1 Travel Protection Plan or any other insurance plan providing Trip Cancellation benefits.The Gate 1 Cancel for Any Reason Waiver Benefit is administered by Gate 1 Travel and must be purchased at the same time as the Travel Protection Plan as well as within 21 days of the original booking date.

Credit will be issued in the form of travel certificates which are applicable for a period of one year from the original date of travel. In the event that instant purchase airfare was purchased in conjunction with the original tour program, you must travel within one year of original date of airfare booking; please note that if you buy an instant purchase airfare many months in advance of your date of travel, you will have only one year from the date you purchased your ticket (not the date of travel) to reuse the value of your airline ticket. Certificates have no cash value and may be used only for travel to the originally booked destination, using the same carrier, same hotels and same tour package. Price adjustments will be made at the time of the new reservation. Should the price decrease, you will receive a credit for the difference. Should the price increase, you will be invoiced for the balance.
This program does not apply to packages which include a Sea or River cruise, Oberammergau (2022), travel to Israel, nor does it apply to custom groups.
