Depart by coach for Fiesole, and enjoy a scenic drive through hilled countryside overlooking Florence and the Arno Valley. After a brief stop in Fiesole, continue to visit the Franciscan Church of Santa Croce, where lies the tombs of Galileo, Michelangelo, Machiavelli, and Rossini. Afterwards, enjoy a visit to the famous Uffizi Gallery* to admire original works of art by Leonardo, Giotto, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Raffaello, and many, many others.
*The Gallery is closed on Mondays. In the event, the tour will visit the Museum of Palazzo Vecchio and Signoria Square instead.

This morning, take a guided walk through the city of Florence to view some of the unforgettable sights of this beautiful city. Head toward Piazzo del Duomo, the most spectacular square in Florence and home to the Baptistery of Saint John the Baptist, Giotto's Belltower and the Duomo. From here continue to Piazza della Signoria and the home of the town hall, Palazzo Vecchio. This square is famous for the Loggia dei Lanzi and the renowned Uffizi Art Gallery. The tour concludes with a visit to the San Lorenzo market.

Enjoy a full day excursion takes you to two of the loveliest towns in the Chianti area: Siena and the medieval walled town of San Gimignano. Relax on a scenic ride through the Italian countryside to Siena, admiring the ever-changing scenery of vineyards and scarped olive groves en route. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour with a local guide to view the Cathedral, the unique fan-shaped Piazza del Campo, and the Palazzo Comunale. Visit Libreria Piccolomini and the Gothic Museo del Duomo, whose elaborate outer portals are richly decorated with acanthus scrolls, allegorical figures, and biblical scenes. Next, travel to San Gimignano, a medieval town of Etruscan origin. Built by early noble families, the fourteen remaining stone towers that line the ramparts of the town create one of the area's most beautiful skylines. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the town's narrow lanes and squares.

This evening, enjoy a relaxing gondola ride with music along the famous Grand Canal, and experience a piece of Venetian history (the Gondola holds a maximum of six passengers. Please note that this is not a private gondola ride)

This morning's tour begins with an orientation of St. Mark's Square, considered the historical heart of the city, and continues to visit the Golden Basilica of San Marco* with its mysterious interior, lavish mosaics, and decorations of Occidental and Oriental design. Proceed to the 14th century Doge's Palace, whose facade comprises a massive Gothic gate on the Piazzetta side, known as the Porta Della Carta. Continue to the rear of the palace to view the Bridge of Sighs. The tour ends with an optional visit to a glass blowing factory on Murano Island.
*For security reasons, bags are not allowed inside the Basilica. A free-of-charge holding station is available. Due to Mass, San Marco Basilica is closed for visitations on Sundays, and during any religious ceremonies and holy feast days. In this case, visits will exclude interior views of the church. Likewise, Doge's Palace is closed on Dec 25, Jan 1, and May 1.
