This evening, depart Piazza San Bernardo for an illuminated tour of Rome's historic piazzas and fountains. Along the way to the famous Piazza della Repubblica, enjoy flood-lit views of the Palazzo Margherita, Porta Pinciana, Villa Borghese, Piazzale Flaminio, Via Flaminia, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Augusto Imperatore, and Via del Corso. Arriving at the Piazza della Repubblica, visit Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite Baroque fountain in Rome, before continuing along the Via Quattro Fontane to view the equally impressive, Fountains of the Four Seasons. From Piazza Venezia, enjoy charming views of the Memorial of King Vittorio Emanuele II and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. From this prime vantage point, admire the Capitol, Imperial Forum, Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Aventine Hill, Circus Maximus, and the Great Synagogue, overlooking the former Jewish ghetto. Conclude this fascinating tour of the Eternal City by night with views of the Castel Sant'Angelo and St. Peter's Basilica on your return.

This morning, depart from the Piazza San Bernardo, site of Moses' Fountain, and travel along Via Bissolati and Via Veneto. Pass by Villa Borghese, one of Europe's most elegant parks, and previous estate of the noble Borghese family. The tour continues to the Vatican Museum and Galleries, where you will find galleries of chandeliers, tapestries, geographical maps, the Sobiesky Hall and the Immaculate Conception Hall. From here, visit the Sistine Chapel and behold the great frescoes by Michelangelo. Passing through the Vatican Hall continue to the Basilica of Saint Peter, one of the four major basilicas of Rome, and burial site of its namesake Saint Peter. Continue along the Via Nazionale to the Basilica of St. John in Lateran. Dedicated to John the Baptist and John the Evangelist, the Basilica is ranked first among the four major basilicas of Rome and is famous for its baroque and medieval masterpieces. Proceed to the Holy Stairs, the 28 marble steps climbed by Jesus Christ to stand trial in Pilate's Palace. From this ancient pilgrimage site, the tour continues by coach, crossing the Piazza San Giovanni and Via Latina, to the Appian Way, where you will find the sacred Chapel of "Domine Quo Vadis". Then, visit the Catacombs of St. Sebastian before walking along the Appian Way to the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metellea, built around 50 B.C. Return in the early evening, passing the ruins of the Baths of Caracalla en route.
Please note that on Wednesdays during the Holy Father's Audience, the visit inside St. Peter's Basilica will not take place.

This morning, depart Piazza San Bernardo, site of Moses' Fountain, and continue to the the Piazza della Repubblica. The walking tour is designed to take you through the ages of Rome, starting from the Spanish Steps and reaching Piazza di Spagna featuring the famous fountain "la Barcaccia" designed by Pietro Bernini. Proceed to the Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite baroque fountain in Rome, before heading to the best preserved of all ancient Roman buildings, the Pantheon, whose original dome is the largest surviving from antiquity in the world. Tour ends at the famous Piazza Navona, erected over the ruins of Domitian's Circus.

Today's tour begins with a drive to Mount Scopus, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of Jerusalem. Continue via Gethsemane to the Old City, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, enjoy a leisurely walk to the ancient "Cardo" (forum) in the recently restored Jewish Quarter. Here you will visit three of Jerusalem's most significant religious sites, the Western (Wailing) Wall, Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross), and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.* Afterward, continue to view Mount Zion (Tomb of King David), the Cenacle (Room of the Last Supper), and the Dormition Abbey. Conclude the tour with a visit to Yad Vashem* (Israel's memorial to the Holocaust) and Ein Karem.
*Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and published holidays, and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Fridays and holiday eves. Holy sites require modest dress (no shorts) tops that cover the shoulders. Comfortable shoes and a hat are recommended for this tour.

Drive to the ancient town of Nazareth, believed to be childhood home of Jesus. On arrival, visit the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph.* Proceed to the Sea of Galilee via Canna and visit the ancient ruins at Capernaum, including the House of St. Peter. Afterward, enjoy a brief stop at Tabgha to visit the Church to the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish. Continue via Tiberias to view the Baptismal site on the Jordan River outlet "Yardenit."
*Holy sites require modest dress (no shorts) and shoulder covering. Comfortable shoes and a hat are recommended for this tour.
