This morning explore Breisach independently and perhaps see one of the largest wine cellars in all of Europe as well as the beautiful Romanesque cathedral of St. Stephansmünster, which features paintings by the eminent printmaker Martin Shongauer. In the afternoon set sail for Strasbourg

DAY 4, Saturday - Full Day in Strasbourg
Today, explore Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace region, independently. The entire city center, known as the Grande Île, or Grand Island, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Of special note is the staggering Gothic Cathedral, an exquisite example of late Gothic architecture. For over 200 years the Cathedral stood as the world's tallest building, and it currently houses one of the finest astronomical clocks in existence. Also within the historic city center is the delightful Place du Marché, with cafés set along the winding streets

Stroll the market square, past charming half-timbered houses, and see the town's well preserved ring wall with gates and towers

Passengers should select departure flights that departure no earlier than 2:00 pm to provide adequate time to transfer to the airport in Frankfurt. The airport is approximately a two hour drive from the port in Koblenz. The departure transfer will operate at approximately 9:00 am from the ship.
