Tue - Munich
Arrival in Munich. Upon arrival, we are met by our English speaking Tour Escort who will assist with airport formalities, then transfer to our hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Tonight: Welcome dinner at hotel.(B,D)

Wed - Munich
Munich is a great 'world city'. Your tour today incudes views of the Olympic Tower, Residence Palace, Frauenkircke Cathedral and the Marienplatz where you can view the famous Glockenspiel and tour the Nymphenburg Palace. The former summer residence of the rulers of Bavaria is located in the west part of the city in the middle of one of Munich's most beautiful parks. Five generations of Wittelsbach rulers were involved in the construction of this Baroque castle. Finally, visit the Palace of Neuschwanstein, the residence of Ludwig 1, King of Bavaria. It is famous for the 'Gallery of Beauty,' a collection of painting of the most beautiful women of Ludwig's day. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Dinner at hotel. (B,D)

Thu - Prague
Travel East from Munich heading for the Czech Republic. The route takes you through the beautiful city of Regensburg on the Danube River. Regensburg is one of the most attractive cities in Germany, retaining much of its medieval feeling and filled with shops and interesting places. With your our escort walk through the ancient city center with its patrician's bridge, the stone Bridge, the Pretorian Gate and the Cathedral. Enjoy lunch on your own, with time afterward to do some shopping. In the afternoon cross the border into the Czech Republic, travelling through Pilsen to the historic city of Prague. A morning sightseeing tour of this historical capital includes a view of the magnificent Hradcany Castle, the Old Town with its Jewish Quarter, the city's five-hundred year-old clock in the Town Square, City Hall and the Charles Bridge. Drive south through the checkered landscape of the Czech Republic today into the western part of Slovakia. Stop for lunch on your own and a brief tour in the capital city of Bratislava before crossing over into Hungry, you drive alongside the Danube River to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Budapest, a fascinating place which combines the cultures of Europe with the East. Tour Vienna today, the City of Hapsburgs. The Inner Ring is filled with the monumental buildings of the Holy Roman Empire: the Hofburg Palace, the Parliament, the Palace of Justic, and the Natural History and Fine Arts Museums. Outside the central city is Schonbrunn Palace, which you will tour. Afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps visit the Kaerntnerstrasse, a pedestrian way which connects St Stephens, Cathedral with the famous Vienna Opera House, and is filled with fine boutiquets, restaurants, and above all Viennese pastry shops!. Thu - Oberammergau
The history of the Passion Play at Oberammergau goes back to 1634, when the village of Oberammergau was miraculously saved from the ravages of the Black Death. Since that date, the play has been performed every ten years on the decade. The day is set aside for the event. This unique occasion is literally a "once-in-a-lifetime" event.
