7 Day Ecuador Explorer, July 2010 We had a great trip. Accommodations were excellent, the guide, Leo S., was superb, the transportation vehicle was comfortable and the itinerary and included meals were well chosen. The trip exceeded our expectations. -- Mitchell S. Wilmington, DE |

12 Day Peru & Galapagos Islands - June 2010 My trip went very well...no flight issues...whew! I just loved the Eco lodge in the Galapagos and would like to return. The food was 5 star. I REALLY appreciate all of your assistance. -- Frieda D., Singapore |

8 Day Peru Inca Special, June 2010 Our trip was fabulous. Machu Picchu, of course, was the highlight of the adventure. A truly awesome and mystical place. Lake Titicaca was quite an experience as well. This was our 3rd trip with Gate 1 and once more we were not disappointed. The hotels, the tour guides and care of all needs, were outstanding. The only downside -- the food in general was rather poor. But, for a week one can put up with this as well. -- Annemarie C. Lexington, SC |

8 Day Galapagos Islands, June 2008 We had a wonderful trip. Everything was first class. The Finch Bay Hotel was very comfortable. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The two guides who took us out on the boat each day, Valentino & Soto, were very well informed and helped us learn much about the islands. The boat, the crew and the food were outstanding. The two days in Quito were a fantastic bonus, helped again by a terrific tour guide, Fausto. This was our first visit to South America and will NOT be our last. We will remember this visit for a long time. Thanks for your assistance. Well done. -- Stuart W. Wall Township, NJ |

10 Day Affordable Peru, June 2010 It was wonderful! Thank you! We ran into some trouble with strikes on the day that we were supposed to go to Machu Picchu, but our guides handled the situation really well and got us all up there the next day. I thought they did a great job! I will definitely travel with Gate 1 again! -- Meghan L. Bloomington, IL |

5 Day Bogota & Cartagena - June 2010 We had a very good time! Colombia is ready for tourism. We felt safe in Bogota and Cartagena. The hotels were fine and the Gate 1 contacts and guides were excellent. Both Manuel (Bogota) and David (Cartagena) were excellent guides. Very knowledgeable and great English speakers. The transport people, Monica and Jennifer were prompt and very helpful. The only glitches we had were with the Delta flights in the USA. Connie and I both experienced delays but nothing terribly frustrating! Thank you for the arrangements. We would consider traveling with Gate 1 again. -- Gena D. Forest Lake, MN |

5 Day Machu Picchu, May 2010 It was an awesome trip!!! Thanks for the suggestion to leave at midnight. That gave us the entire day in Lima to explore! When you go, be sure to try some cuy and alpaca- oh and don't forget the hand sanitizer! -- Elissa C. Cape Coral, FL |

6 Day Ecuador and Galapagos Islands, April 2008 My mother and I just returned from our trip coordinated by you to Ecuador and the Galapagos. From the first minute we landed in Guayaquil, someone was always there to meet us and guide us through the check-in and baggage process as well as provide reliable and safe transportation to our hotel and airport. These transfer individuals spoke excellent English and made sure that everything was settled and comfortable before they left us. Then, in the Galapagos, Mario met us at the airport and became not only an invaluable naturalist guide for us but also a friend for our time there. The knowledge that both him and Fernanda revealed to us throughout our tours was very educational and impressive. In addition, the Grand Hotel Guayaquil and the Finch Bay Hotel in Puerta Ayora were absolutely gorgeous hotels with excellent service and amenities. We loved the landscape of the Finch Bay, along with the hammock on the porch and turn-down service. Finally, the food offered at the hotel and on our yacht was always delicious and plentiful. We wouldn't change one thing about our trip. We also want to thank you for sending us through Guayaquil, the climate was warm there and the city safe and full of great opportunities for tourists. Again, thank you so much for a wonderful trip that was worth every dime. We will certainly use Gate 1 again when our future travel needs dictate. -- Belinda G, Ashville NC |

7 Day Peru Inca Special, June 2007 My trip to Peru was better than I expected and I expected a lot. The original reason for going with Gate 1 was cost. Your company was able to provide airfare, hotel, some tours and some food for the same cost for just the airfare I had researched. My expectations were exceeded in the following ways: 1. The group of people. The over-all group of people that were brought together by Gate 1 was fantastic. I feel we became great friends and I hope to keep in touch long into the future. 2. The bus transportation. When it came to busses, we did not know what to expect. We even joked about being cooped up inside something we called "chicken busses" The busses you provided were as good if not better than any tour bus in the US. 3. Machu Picchu. The landscape and ruins of Machu Picchu are more spectacular then I imagined. It was bigger than I imagined. Pictures cannot do it justice. Thanks for all your hard work. You and Gate 1 did a great job. -- Adrian S, Nitro, WV |
