Your afternoon tour of Santiago includes a journey through the main streets of the civic center of the city, with views of the neoclassical Moneda Palace, the current seat of government, and the Plaza de Armas, with its Cathedral, Museum of National History, and Central Post Office. Continue to Parque Forestal, inspired by the Champs Elysees in Paris. See the Fine Arts Museum and Santa Lucia Hill, where the city was founded in 1541. Then climb San Cristobal hill for a panoramic view of the city with the magnificent Andes Mountains in the background. The tour concludes with a visit to the handicraft village of Los Graneros del Alba. Half Day Concha y Toro Day #3 01 Apr 2008 - 31 Dec 2008     $68 Depart Santiago towards the Maipo valley, one of Chile’s most important wine producing areas. Founded in 1883, Concha y Toro is today the largest wine exporter in the country. The tour includes a full visit to the extensive landscaped gardens (the inside of the colonial house is not included) of the plantations, some of which were planted by the founder of the vineyard, Don Melchor de Concha y Toro. You will have the opportunity to see both the modern facilities and the old cellars. There is a tasting of different wines during the tour and the cost includes a souvenir glass.
