    DAY 2,Tuesday - Lima City Tour
    This morning meet with your guide for an orientation. Afterwards, depart for a tour of Lima. Enjoy the sights of Peru's capital city with 2000 years of indigenous and colonial heritage before stopping at the San Francisco Monastery, famous for its 17th century architecture and world-renowned library. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure in the "Gastronomical Capital of the Americas" by exploring Lima's nightlife or sampling some of its many restaurants

    DAY 3, Wednesday - Fly to Cuzco
    This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cuzco is declared the Historical Capital by the Constitution of Peru and hosts nearly 1 million visitors every year. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure to explore on your own

    DAY 4, Thursday - Full Day Machu Picchu
    Early this morning, transfer to the Sacred Valley's Ollanta Station and board the Expedition Train for Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also known as "The Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu was built circa 1450 and abandoned only 100 years later. The purpose of this splendid city is still a mystery to modern historians. Spend the day exploring the ancient citadel and marveling at its corridors, ceremonial centers, and terraces. This evening, enjoy dinner at your hotel

    DAY 7, Sunday - Fly to Amazon, Embark Cruise, and Cano Nauto Open Boat Excursion
    This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Iquitos, in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. Transfer by bus to the port at Nauta and board your cruise ship, your home for the next five nights, while exploring the Amazon River and its tributaries. Enjoy lunch on board before departing on an open boat excursion of the surrounding Nauta Caño jungle area. This evening, take part in a local cooking class

    DAY 8, Monday - Sail to Yanayaquillo, Ceiba Hike, and Suspended Bridges
    This morning, enjoy a bird watching excursion before breakfast, be on the lookout for toucans or macaws. Later, visit a local butterfly farm and take a hike in the surrounding jungle, before visiting the treetops on suspended bridges. After lunch, there will be a fishing excursion and a Shaman ceremony with local Indians. Tonight, take part in a nighttime open boat tour to experience the jungle's nightlife

    DAY 9, Tuesday - Sail to Pucate and Visit to Las Palmas Village
    This morning, depart on two open boat excursions of the surrounding Yanayaquillo and Pucate areas. Watch for the pink river dolphins that are indigenous to the Amazon River. In the afternoon, visit the local village of Las Palmas before a musical performance on board this evening

    DAY 10, Wednesday - Sail to San Francisco and Excursion to Giant Water Lillies
    Today, arrive at the point where the Ucayali and Maranon rivers meet the Amazon river. The Ucayali River originates near Lake Titicaca and is home to the Amazon River Dolphin, the giant otter, and the Amazonian Manatee. The Maranon River originates northeast of Lima and is known for its turbulent rapids and whirlpools as it makes its way to the Amazon. Here, take an open boat tour of the Yucuruchi area to view giant Amazon water lilies, Victoria Regias, whose pads can span up to 6 feet or more

    DAY 11, Thursday - Sail to Gasparito Creek and Jungle Excursion

    Half Day Highlights of Cuzco Today's tour starts at the impressive Colonial Cathedral in Cuzco which contains over 400 paintings from the Cusqueña School in addition to an impressive collection of colonial art, including Marcos Zapata's depiction of The Last Supper displaying Cuy, or Guinea Pig, as the main course. Continue on to visit the Temple of the Sun, whose walls and floors were allegedly once covered by sheets of solid gold. This temple was once the most important religious site of the Incas. From here you will travel to Sacsayhuaman, located on the northern slope of Cuzco. This impressive fortress, which consists of individual stones weighing well over 100 tons, took over seven decades to complete and is a prime example of Incan military architecture. Conclude the day at the Kenko amphitheater, a mysterious limestone formation decorated by intricately carved depictions of mythical entities.       Amazon river cruises and tourism industries are adventure based. You will certainly find the physical conditions of the vessels lesser when compared to those of a European river cruise, but will find that cleanliness and onboard services are up-to-date.
