From the stunning Arenal Volcano to the town of Monterverde, you'll see the varied landscapes of a country that is roughly 25% protected national parks.

Explore San Jose, possibly visiting some of the city's many restaurants, bars, nightclubs, art galleries and museums. En route to Arenal stop in Sarchi, Costa Rica's most famous artisan town, where you will see traditional colorful oxcarts and souvenirs. Then proceed to Arenal, taking in the spectacular natural scenery perhaps by spending the day on the optional full day Cano Negro Boat Tour, to learn more about the flora and fauna that inhabit the area.

Next, embark on a brisk 2 mile walking tour of the Las Coladas in Arenal National Park, with an option to participate in a rugged hike over the ancient lava rocks. Travel to the stunning Cloud Forest of Monteverde to visit the Gallery of Hummingbirds. Enjoy a traditional Costa Rican coffee farm tour, then perhaps join an exciting tour through the canopy of the Cloud Forest on a zipline adventure. Head back to Costa Rica's capital city, San Jose and explore the city independently.
