DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive Prague
Arrive in the "Golden" city of Prague and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure in Prague, considered one of Europe's most attractive cities; its historic city center has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tonight, a briefing with your Tour Manager about the wonderful journey that awaits you, followed by a Welcome Drink with your fellow travelers.
DAY 3, Thursday - Tour of Prague
Begin the day with a walking tour of Prague to the picturesque Lesser Town (Malá Strana) also known as the Little Quarter, with its ancient burgher houses and quaint side streets. Enjoy breathtaking views as we cross the Charles Bridge, one of Europe's oldest stone bridges, to the Old Town, the medieval center of Prague. Explore the cobbled streets around Old Town Square and stroll into the Jewish Quarter, once the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe. View the white- stucco St. Nicholas Church, the world-famous Astronomical Clock and the Town Hall. The rest of the day at leisure or join the optional afternoon tour to the hilltop Prague Castle complex, former residence of Bohemian Kings and to the magnificent St. Vitus Cathedral, where Kings were crowned and battles were fought. Experience spectacular vistas of the entire city below. This evening, dinner together at a popular local restaurant.

DAY 4, Friday - Pilsen, Dinner in Munich
Morning drive from Prague to Pilsen, capital of West Bohemia and home of Pilsner Beer since 1842. View the original site, the modern bottling plant and, of course, enjoy a tasting of the famous brew. This has been the site of the world famous Czech beer production since 1842. Later cross into Germany and head for the Bavarian capital, Munich, with time to rest and relax before tonight's dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 5, Saturday - City Tour of Munich
Our discovery of Munich begins with a drive past the Olympic Stadium situated in the heart of Olympia Park, the main venue for the 1972 Summer Olympics. On to breathtaking Nymphenburg Palace and Park, with its gorgeous baroque facade, once the summer residence of the rulers of Bavaria. Driving through the city, we'll see countless museums, galleries, palaces and historic monuments. Arrive at Marienplatz Square, cultural center of the city, dominated by the gothic New Town Hall housing Munich's world-famous Glockenspiel, dating back to 1908. This colorful mechanical clock has life-size figures that dance to music with shows several times a day. Afterwards, leisure time, or, participate in the optional tour to fairytale Linderhof Palace, built by "mad" King Ludwig II and Oberammergau, world-famous for the Passion Play, two of the highlights of Southern Bavaria in the high Alps .

DAY 6, Sunday - Salzburg City Tour
On the route to Austria, stop in the gorgeous town of Berchtesgaden, nestled amidst six mountain ranges. Then continue to magical Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart. The guided walking tour takes us to the house where Mozart was born, as well as to the squares and gardens of this beautiful city, crowned by the 11th century Hohensalzburg Fortress. The city, also known as home of the singing Von Trapp family, was the setting for the Sound of Music film. Time to walk the lovely lanes filled with delightful shops and cafes. Tonight, join the optional dinner at an Austrian Country Tavern.

DAY 7, Monday - Danube Valley Cruise, Vienna
Travel east past the impressive Salzkammergut area (Lake District), with a total of 76 lakes, known one of the most stunning regions in the heart of Austria. Here, we meet the "blue" Danube River and follow it along its course, passing charming wine villages, white-washed churches and rolling countryside. Stop to enjoy a short cruise on the river, with time to photograph historic Melk Abbey, one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Europe and Durnstein Castle, perched regally on rocks high above the Danube. Arrive in glorious Vienna, Austria's capital. Tonight, opportunity to experience a not-to-be-missed optional Classical Viennese Concert performance of the masterpieces of Mozart and Strauss, two of Vienna's most famous citizens.

DAY 8, Tuesday - Tour of Vienna
This sparkling city on the Danube has captivated travelers for years with its elegant shops, world-class museums, beautiful parks and gardens. Begin today's tour at the impressive Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Hapsburg emperors. Visit the opulent baroque apartments and stroll through the world-famous manicured gardens. Continue with a drive along the famous Ringstrasse, Vienna's main boulevard. View the Empress Maria Theresia Monument, Votive Church, City Hall and Parliament. Next, walk through the Hofburg courtyards to the State Opera House. The rest of the day is at leisure, or join the optional Imperial Highlights Tour to the Treasury and the State Opera. Be sure to stop at a café to sample the famous Viennese Sacher Torte before returning to the hotel. Tonight, dinner with your travel companions at a unique Viennese Tavern.

Leaving the bustle of the new town, drive up the hill to the historical area surrounding the Prague castle, and enter the fairytale complex of cobbled courtyards, churches and administrative buildings, once the court of the Bohemian Kings. Still the political center of the Czech Republic, this is where the Presidential Palace is located, complete with ceremonial guards. Visit the medieval Old Palace and the Cathedral of St. Vitus, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, as well as the St. George Basilica and the Famous “Golden Lane”.

Two of the highlights of southern Bavaria are visited during this excursion to the high Alps. First, admire the artistically decorated castle Linderhof built by "Mad" King Ludwig II along with a guided tour of the palace. Proceed via the Ettal Monastery to Oberammergau, world-famous for its Passion Play, the woodcarvers and the richly painted houses (Lüftl-paintings). Time for sightseeing and shopping before returning to Munich.
