This Grand Louvre walking tour begins with a stroll through the commercial area outside the Louvre, and continues inside the museum where an experienced guide will present to you various exhibitions. Of the many exhibitions found therein, this tour covers those of the medieval fortress, the modern pyramid, the Egyptian Department, and some of the museum's most reputed masterpieces, including Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

Depart the Cityrama office via the Place de la Concorde and continue along the Champs Elysées as far as the Arc de Triomphe. The tour continues towards the 16th district, considered one of the most prestigious residential areas in Paris, and home to the celebrated Bois de Boulogne. Continue with a visit to the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a panoramic view of France's unforgettable capital. Your guide will point out the principal landmarks of the city from the Tower's second floor observatory. Continue to quai de la Bourdonnais, where you will board a Bateaux Parisiens vessel for a delightful one-hour Seine River cruise. Enjoy commentary detailing the many historic bridges of Paris as you cruise. After the conclusion of the cruise, you may choose to explore the city on your own, or return by bus to the terminal.

Relive the glorious period of Louis XIV, XV and XVI as you pace one of the largest and most influential formal gardens in the world. Today's tour takes you Versailles Palace to witness the grandeur of French classical architecture. Visit the Palace and extravagant State Apartments, including a guided visit to the Reception Halls, the Queen's Bedroom, and the Hall of Mirrors. You will also have time to walk the palace grounds and formal gardens*, designed by Andre le Notre, at your leisure. En route, you will be prepared for your tour with commentary detailing the history of this magnificent site.

#2 Ancient Rome 2:30 PM

Day #6 01 Nov 2015 - 31 Mar 2016 $64

Today's tour will feature the classic splendor of the Roman Empire. Leave via di San Gregorio at the marble fountain, opposite side of the entrance to Palatine Hill, and head to Piazza Venezia where you will admire the Memorial to King Vittorio Emanuele II and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Continue to the square of the Capitol, where you can climb Palatine and Capitoline Hill to admire the unique sight of the Forum and the Colosseum, one of Rome's most ancient districts. Walk along the pavement of the original Roman grid, which crosses the ruins of the Roman Forum, the Curia, and the Reggia. Enjoy views of the Temple of Vesta, the Arch of Titus and the Triumphal Arch of Constantine. Continue with an inside tour of the Colosseum, a giant amphitheater used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles, and the largest building ever built in the Roman Empire.

Departs at 3 pm (Mar 16-Nov 15) and 2.30 pm (Nov 16-Mar 15) from Via V. E. Orlando, 95. Pick-up from hotel 1 hour prior to departure time. Approximate tour duration is 3 hours.

#3 Vatican Museums 8:30 AM

Day #6 02 Nov 2015 - 31 Mar 2016 $73

This morning, depart from Piazza del Risorgimento, corner of Via Ottaviano, and travel along Via Bissolati and Via Veneto. Pass by Villa Borghese, one of Europe's most elegant parks, and previous estate of the noble Borghese family. The tour continues to the Vatican Museum and Galleries, where you will find galleries of chandeliers, tapestries, geographical maps, the Sobiesky Hall and the Immaculate Conception Hall. From here, visit the Sistine Chapel and behold the great frescoes by Michelangelo. Passing through the Vatican Hall, continue to the Basilica of Saint Peter, one of the four major basilicas of Rome, and burial site of its namesake, Saint Peter.

Please note that on Wednesdays during the Holy Father's Audience, the visit inside St. Peter's Basilica will not take place.

Departs at 7:30 am (Apr - Oct); and 8:30 am (Nov - Mar) from Via V. E. Orlando, 95. Pick-up from hotel 45 minutes prior to departure time (between 6:30 am and 7:15 am for Apr - Oct and between 7:30 am and 8:15 am for Nov - Mar). Drop-off in city center. Approximate tour duration is 4 hours.

*Please note that conservative clothing should be worn when visiting the Vatican, meaning legs and shoulders should be covered.

#M9 Campo de Fiori, Jewish Ghetto & Trastevere Food Tour 10:30 AM

Day #7 01 Nov 2015 - 26 Mar 2016 $79

Small groups will be led by a local expert food connoisseur through several Roman neighborhoods to visit its most famous markets, groceries, coffee shops, gelaterias and restaurants. Delight in specialties such as fried cod fish in the Jewish ghetto, and lavish in the sensory delight of the Campo de Fiori vegetable and spice market. Learn how to properly order food in Rome and taste native mozzarella cheese and Roman salame. When in Trastevere, indulge in a pasta tasting followed by a refreshing artisanal gelato.
