How to Book


This 7 day "on-the-go" program features the highlights of Peru in an active itinerary which includes several walking tours as well as some early starts and long days.

DAY 1, Tuesday - Depart for Peru
Depart for Peru. Upon arrival in Lima, transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure

DAY 2, Wednesday - Lima City Tour
This morning, begin the day with a tour of Lima. Enjoy the sights of Peru's capital city with 2000 years of indigenous and colonial heritage before stopping at the San Francisco Monastery, famous for its 17th century architecture and world-renowned library. This afternoon, join your guide for a briefing about the wonderful tour that awaits you. Then, perhaps join the optional tour to the Larco Herrera museum, considered the best museum in Lima, located in an 18th century restored mansion. This museum holds one of the world's largest collections of pre-Columbian art. This evening, perhaps enjoy an optional Peruvian dinner and musical performance featuring typical dances. Experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Peru all at once during this fun-filled evening

DAY 3, Thursday - Fly to Cuzco, Afternoon at Leisure
This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cuzco is declared the Historical Capital by the Constitution of Peru and hosts nearly 1 million visitors every year. Time permitting, meet children at a local school before transferring to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure to explore on your own or participate in the optional Highlights of Cuzco tour that visits the Colonial Cathedral, Temple of the Sun, and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman

DAY 4, Friday - Visit Machu Picchu
Early this morning, transfer to the Sacred Valley's Ollanta Station and board the Inca Rail Tourist Train for Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site arriving in the early afternoon. Also known as "The Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu was built circa 1450 and abandoned only 100 years later. The purpose of this splendid city is still a mystery to modern historians. Enjoy exploring the ancient citadel and marveling at its corridors, ceremonial centers, and terraces. This evening, enjoy dinner at your hotel

DAY 5, Saturday - Return to Cuzco

DAY 6, Sunday - Fly to Lima, Farewell Dinner
This morning transfer to the airport for your flight back to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy one last evening with the group and say goodbye to your Tour Manager at the Farewell Dinner

Half Day Larco Herrera Museum

Day #2 11 Jan 2015 - 20 Jan 2017 $49

Depart your hotel and drive through colonial Lima before arriving at the Larco Herrera museum, considered the best museum in Lima. Founded in 1926 by the Peruvian archaeologist, Rafael Larco Herrera, the museum is located in an 18th century restored mansion, built over a 7th century pyramid, and holds one of the world's largest collections of pre-Columbian art. Your local guide will escort you on a guided tour around the museum's amazing exhibits with its collection portraying 5000 years of Andean civilization. Here, admire the world's largest collection of pre-Columbian masterpieces and a stunning exhibition of gold and priceless jewels. On the return to the hotel, enjoy a brief panoramic tour of Pueblo Libre, a small residential district near Lima's historical center with its traditional houses and plazas.

Please note that there will be scheduled maintenance at the site Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu Mountains between the dates April 1-30, 2016. This work on the Mountain of Huayna Picchu from April 1-15, 2016 and Machu Picchu from April 16-30, 2016 will not prevent visits to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu or its main sectors, including Intihuatana, the Temple of The Sun, the Royal Residence and the Sacred Plaza. The areas which will be affected are in the remote steps and rungs, particularly difficult to access and not frequented by our passengers.
