My mother and I just returned from our trip coordinated by you to Ecuador and the Galapagos. From the first minute we landed in Guayaquil, someone was always there to meet us and guide us through the check-in and baggage process as well as provide reliable and safe transportation to our hotel and airport. These transfer individuals spoke excellent English and made sure that everything was settled and comfortable before they left us. Then, in the Galapagos, Mario met us at the airport and became not only an invaluable naturalist guide for us but also a friend for our time there. The knowledge that both him and Fernanda revealed to us throughout our tours was very educational and impressive.

In addition, the Grand Hotel Guayaquil and the Finch Bay Hotel in Puerta Ayora were absolutely gorgeous hotels with excellent service and amenities. We loved the landscape of the Finch Bay, along with the hammock on the porch and turn-down service. Finally, the food offered at the hotel and on our yacht was always delicious and plentiful. We wouldn't change one thing about our trip.

We also want to thank you for sending us through Guayaquil, the climate was warm there and the city safe and full of great opportunities for tourists.

Again, thank you so much for a wonderful trip that was worth every dime. We will certainly use Gate 1 again when our future travel needs dictate.

Overall it was grade A - very enjoyable.

First off, as this was our first ever foreign excursion, my daughters and I had no clue what to expect. So we were delighted at every turn. Our tour guide took really good care of us. We met all the wonderful people in our tour group. The local guides were all great. Our accommodations were superior. Food was delightful.

Lucero was our tour guide and always went the extra mile to ensure we found what we were looking for. We wanted dinner reservations at the Monastery in Cusco on January 1, and when she found out the hotel concierge couldn't get them, she stepped in and somehow got them for us. That was her nature every day in every way. She set the mark that other tour guides will have to meet when we travel again. Kudos to Lucero!

I feel this tour really gave us a veritable experience of what Peru history and the Peruvian people are really like. I would highly recommend it to my friends, which is how I found out about it.

We're back from Peru and it was a fabulous trip! Our tour guide, Francisco, made it all so comfortable - we all felt very coddled. We left Lima on the second day, flew to Cusco, about an hour into the Andes, at 11,000 feet in elevation. I took a prescription for the change which prevented headaches. The church in Cusco was the main attraction with more gold, on the alters than one imagine and it was huge, part of a block in size and with lots of parts as a European church we have seen.

We took a tour bus around to several ruins, there was 11 of us, so a very intimate group. The day we went to Maccu Pichu, was long as we bused for 2 hours up the valley North and then to a train in a small town and along the river for an hour or so, viewing the corn fields planted across the river. At the end of the line is a small town only accessed by the train and at the foot of a road up the the site. We got onto a bus and crossed the river and followed a switchback one lae road up 2,000 feet, and 12 kilometers to the access site. We had our own guide to explain the site which is huge! Followed later in the town by a great dinner of local fresh fish. After 4 nights we flew back to Lima for 2 nights and did a lot of sightseeing, as Lima has lots to see. The last night we went to big restaurant for a show and dinner. They had a native band and did about 10 costume changes for the local tribes with dancing, that Jessica got dragged up to the stage and participated in with great gusto. The kids loved and we all traded e-mails ect.

Holy cow!! I had an awesome time!! Everything was amazing. I have to say I was nervous traveling alone outside the States. When I landed in Lima I was thinking, "great, I'm in a foreign country, booked a tour with a company I've never used before, it's late (past midnight),I was detained in customs for about 45 minutes, and have no idea what to expect." But, my reservations were soon put to rest when I walked out of the baggage claim area and saw the guy with the Gate 1 sign! From that moment on, I was fine, was well taken care of, and had a terrific time. I made many friends on the trip, and even though I was traveling alone I never felt alone or isolated. I was with people when I wanted to be, and alone when I wanted to be.

I have to say that our guide, Patrick, was wonderful! I spent a good amount of time with him because I was the only single person on the tour. He was very attentive to everyone on the tour, very knowledgeable, and all round a great person! I could not have been more pleased.

Thank you for being so helpful while booking my trip. I hope to use Gate 1 when I travel again!!

My trip to Peru was better than I expected and I expected a lot.

The original reason for going with Gate 1 was cost. Your company was able to provide airfare, hotel, some tours and some food for the same cost for just the airfare I had researched.

My expectations were exceeded in the following ways:

1. The group of people. The over-all group of people that were brought together by Gate 1 was fantastic. I feel we became great friends and I hope to keep in touch long into the future.

2. The bus transportation. When it came to busses, we did not know what to expect. We even joked about being cooped up inside something we called "chicken busses" The busses you provided were as good if not better than any tour bus in the US.

3. Machu Picchu. The landscape and ruins of Machu Picchu are more spectacular then I imagined. It was bigger than I imagined. Pictures cannot do it justice.

Thanks for all your hard work. You and Gate 1 did a great job.

The trip to Peru was great! I was well looked after from my arrival to departure. My tour guide was Juan Carlos and he was fantastic! I didn't have to worry about anything because I knew he was handling all of the arrangements. The hotels were great, especially the Marriott. I've stayed
at Marriotts in many locations around the world and this was the best! It's location, across the street from the Pacific Ocean and a huge mall, was perfect. The service was outstanding. The Liberatador was nice, including food and location, as well. The local tour guides, Maria and Sonya were excellent! It was a great trip and I'm glad that I decided to travel with Gate 1.

I loved it. What a very positive experience. You have great staff. The staff in Peru is very helpful, courteous and went out of their way to help us my friend and I wanted to do extra sight seeing. My friend lost her ATM card to the ATM machine and our guide arranged through your office in Lima to give her cash to pay for airport tax. I have been around the world few times. I often travel alone, joining a few organized tours over the years, none has been as good as yours. The buses were in mint condition and the guides where excellent. You provide so much value for dollar spend, you give a new meaning to stretching your dollar. Many thanks for good times and happy memories.

I can only say good things about the trip. Francisco did a great job. He was very well organized and always kept us informed as to what was programmed. The guides were outstanding. My grandson enjoyed it at least as much as I did. He and I were both delighted that he got to snatch enough time to climb Huayna Picchu. I did it fifteen years ago and it was an exhilarating experience. Now that my climbing days are over I am grateful for all that I have seen and done. I would recommend your company as one who does it well and at affordable prices.

Thank you so much for all your help with my Rio trip. Carnival was definitely worth it!. I will definitely go to back to Brazil. It was an awesome experience. I even enjoyed my trip through Panama as well. I got out and did some shopping and visited the Panama Canal. This trip was a once in a lifetime experience that I may have to relive next year.

My wife, Joyce, and I returned on Sunday from a Gate 1 tour of Argentina. We had a wonderful time. Your office was very flexible in making arrangements, and we were able to fly directly out of Atlanta and also go to Buenos Aires a couple of days in advance. We enjoyed the hotels that we stayed at very much, the Chateau Park Kemenski in Buenos Aires and the Iguazu Sheraton. The staff at the hotels were fantastic and extremely helpful. The locations in both places were terrific. We appreciated being met at the plane and taken to the plane, and everyone was on time and very helpful. The tour guides were excellent.

The trip was fantastic. Four of us were traveling together to celebrate our 60th birthdays. The other three had not seen each other in about forty years! Also, two of them had never been outside the United States, so this was a great adventure for all of us. Gate 1 handled everything very well.

I especially want to compliment our guide in Cusco and Machu Picchu, Edwin Torres. He was superior in everything he did. He went out of his way to be helpful to all of us and was a delight to be with. We gave him a substantial tip, but I would really like him to know just how much we appreciated his kindness and support. He was more than a tour guide. He really cared about us having the best possible time we could have...

I would travel with Gate 1 again without hesitation. The quality was good, the people were delightful and helpful. We traveled to Egypt with Grand Circle about a year ago, no comparison in quality of the guides, and their push for high tips at the end of the trip was inappropriate and rude. Nothing like that with Gate 1 at all, which was indeed refreshing for us. The tour guide with Grand Circle dictated tipping guidelines for himself, and was offensive to everyone on the tour! So Gate 1 is our tour company of choice now.

Thanks for your help in making this dream come true. We plan to do another "girl's trip", and Gate 1 will hear from us for sure!
