In this fast-paced world, we sometimes fail to acknowledge or give praise to those individuals who are truly exceptional in their chosen field, assuming that they're just doing what is required by their job. Our tour guide, Jasmina is certainly one of those individuals worthy of considerable praise for her outstanding work.

My husband and I just returned from a fabulous trip to Croatia and Slovenia with your company. Our trip was made even more wonderful by our remarkably knowledgeable tour guide, Jasmina. While we would have undoubtedly enjoyed all of the various cities, sites and coastlines we were exposed to, it was certainly made all the more interesting and fascinating by the kind of in-depth detail our guide, Jasmina, was able to provide. She set a standard of excellence with her efficient and pleasant attitude. Her helpful manner and professionalism makes her a real asset to your organization.

It should also be noted that the "local" guides at each of our major stops were equally knowledgeable and pleasant as well. We were also pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the hotels and the efficiency in which your company handled all the arrangements for our group. Thanks for making our first trip with Gate 1 such an easy one. We are already planning our next trip!

13 Day Affordable Croatia and Slovenia with Venice, March 2009 - Mary C, East Lansing MI
I traveled as part of a group of four to Croatia. We had a fantastic trip and were very very pleased with as aspects of the trip connected to Gate 1. We enjoyed our guide, Nichola, very much and felt he handled the group well in all respects. We were high on excitement when the trip began, but instead of the high decreasing with time, we found Solenia at Bled to be unexpectedly beautiful and different. The topper was Venice, from the race of water taxis into the city, another fine guide, to the accordian, tenor and champaigne on our gondola ride. We thank you for the grand plans. I had traveled with Gate 1 before, but my compaions had not. We were all happy.

Our trip was as close to perfect as one can get! We know that we cannot give you credit for the beautiful sunny weather and the wonderful, interesting, helpful people that we met, but we do give you much credit for so many aspects and continue to recommend Gate 1 to everyone.

All of the arrangements, transfers, etc., went exactly as planned. The hotels were excellent. Michael, our guide, was so knowledgeable, interesting, personable, and helpful. The itinerary was excellent - like a smorgasbord - a great taste but leaving us wanting for much more.

I want to thank our agent, Alex, for all her patience in responding to all of our phone calls. You all are terrific. We will be calling you again!

Wow! We had a fabulous time! The deal that you offered was good under any circumstances, but when we found out what a lovely hotel the Corinthia Grand was we realized that we had really gotten lucky! They upgraded us to an apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it really was a deluxe experience. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant, the spa was a treat and the buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious.

I will keep make it a habit to always check out your offerings when it comes time to make vacation plans. Thank you again. It was really terrific!

My husband and I truly loved the trip. Our guide, Rok, was amazing. He was not only very well organized, patient and accommodating, but also was a remarkable source of information. I don't think I ever had a lecturer in college (or graduate school) who had more depth of knowledge of history and ancillary subjects (e.g., geography, geology, political science, sociology) as well as local lore and mythology. On top of it, he was fun to be with.
It was very easy to be in both Slovenia and Croatia because the people were kind and helpful. The local guide in Pula, Nada, was terrific. The hotels were comfortable and the breakfasts got us off to a great start for the days.

We may be searching for a trip that includes St. Petersburg next year and will keep an eye on what Gate 1 may have to offer.

We loved our trip to Norway and Denmark. Pictures and emails couldn't describe the beauty and how picturesqe the views were. This trip was worth every penny and we couldn't thank you enough for it. We saw and did a lot of interesting things. Each city was unique. Being on our own rather than with a tour group everyday was certainly the best thing for us. The plane and train reservations went without a hitch and the timing was right. We could get to the train easily and still have enough time in the next city to see plenty on the arrival day. The hotels were close enough and within walking distance of everything. All your paper work arrived exactly as you promised and that was reassuring. Each voucher and train ticket was exactly correct and there were no mix-ups or confusion. In the past we booked our own trips and did not book all the parts of a trip through a tour operator but you made it easy. Now you're wondering, would we use Gate1 again? Absolutely yes.

It was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. This was our second tour with Gate 1 (Egypt in February, 2006), and we plan on touring with Gate 1 every year.
We've toured with other tour companies in the past, but in our view Gate 1 is superior to both. The guide in Italy - Martin - was perhaps the best guide we ever had. As a matter of fact we're already thinking about our Spring, 2008 vacation in Sicily with Gate 1, and our desire would be to somehow tour with Martin again.

It was great. I hadn't been to Paris for almost 30 years and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. I didn't want to come home. No problems with anything. And if anyone wants to know about the hotel you can tell them that it's fine. It's a good quiet location, but not too far from things. Very safe and nice shops and restaurants close by but the best is the 3-4 min walk to the metro stop which then links you to the rest of Paris in minutes. You absolutely cannot beat the value for your trips. I did Italy 2 yrs ago, now Paris and I'm already thinking about the $499 deal to Paris for fall or winter 2008 you have posted now.
