AH MAN!! This was the best trip of my life. Gate 1 was organized and on point. My tour guide Vivian was the bomb. She was very knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, energetic, interested. The tour director Bill was also cool and on point.

The river boat crew was great.. The entire trip was spectacular, exciting, amazing, fulfilling, enlightening and any other adjective you can think of that is good.

I would definitely use Gate 1 again and refer my friends also... I am still on a high from this trip.

Christina and I have arrived safely back and I am still recovering from all the traveling and time difference. Like always, it is good to be home again to share all the excitement of an adventure with family and friends.

The tour was so much more than I could have ever expected, and I am still trying to keep it all straight in my head. Turkey, the gateway between Europe and Asia, the home of Sufism, the religious center of Ephesus, the Silk Road and caravanserae, the fairyland of Cappadoccia., the fascinating city of Istanbul.....all of this plus a great group of people to share it with.

Our tour guide Dilek was the best and made the trip very special. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was incredible and brought Turkey closer to us and will help to understand our differences. The people of Turkey were warm and welcomed us with open arms. We had great personnel conversations with people, men and women, and I hope, more people will travel the world, to see, that we all can get along and respect each other.

In the end, we are all the same, with dreams, families and friends.

My friends and I recently took your 8-day trip to Egypt. I wanted to write to tell you what a great experience we had.

We were greeted at the airport by a professional man who took care of everything for us. He ensured that all our bags were loaded onto the bus in an expedient manner. We definitely appreciated this after the long flight.

We were then greeted by our tour director Sam - who made the trip most enjoyable. Sam ensured that absolutely everything was taken care of - right down to the wake up calls. He recommended restaurants for us, and ensured we had a cab ride where we wanted to go when there was a bit of down time. He went out of his way to ensure that every single guest had all their needs/wants met. He organized our group and kept us moving at an appropriate pace. He was pleasant to be around, and had a huge amount of patience. He was simply incredible. Best tour director I have ever met.

Our tour guides, Ramy and Mohammed were also fantastic. They were extremely knowledgeable and offered may interesting stories about the ruins in Egypt. They made the sight seeing extremely interesting. In addition, they were fun and really seemed to get along with everyone on the tour.

The cruise down the Nile was better than expected. The boat was fun and the staff very nice. Raoul, our server in the dining room was awesome. He was a nice young man that catered to anything we wanted. He was always smiling and pleasant. He went out of his way to be helpful. My cabin attendant, Ramadan was great as well. He left stuffed animals made out of the towels (just like the large cruise lines), and left everything in immaculate order. One person on our tour had a birthday during the trip, and the staff made sure to have a celebration at dinner one night. They got everyone up dancing and doing a conga line. The tour direct also organized a galabya party on the boat one night. Nearly the entire tour group attended. The tour director told us how to shop for a galabya and had great dancing games and fun organized for everyone.

All-in-all, this was by far the best organized tour I have ever been on!! All the staff was excellent and we had a fantastic time. I have recommended the trip to all my friends.

The trip was fantastic!!!! We totally enjoyed ourselves. Our guide Orhan was beyond excellent. I have never taken an organized tour before, and we weren't sure what to expect, but Orhan made it great. We received a crash course in Turkish history along with the tour.

I am perfectly delighted with my trip to Turkey! I have never before taken an organized tour, but rather have traveled independently. However, I will certainly take a tour again, as it was an effective way to use my vacation time and budget.

The trip was absolutely outstanding because of our guide, Meri. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and organized. She provided wonderful insights to the country, and her college background in history allowed her to educate all of us on ancient history. I would go on any trip that Meri guided!

We also enjoyed meeting the other travelers - they were a great group.

Egypt should be on everyone's "bucket list"! We had a wonderful time and found it to be the most facinating country we have ever visited! Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable. We drew one the staterooms in the cruise lottery and were most pleased with our accommodations! The sights were absolutely unbelievable. Pictures and write ups do not do the actual thing justice. The begging was overwhelming but part of the culture. Our hotair balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings and Queens was a true highlight. We landed in a sugarcane field and I held a baby goat! The entire tour was very well orchestrated by Gate 1.

My trip to Turkey was absolutely fantastic. I am well-traveled, so I am not that easily impressed, but I cannot imagine how I got so much for so little. Our guide was fantastic-I felt like I should earn college credits, he was so informed about the history and culture of Turkey. The hotels were really nice-one of them must have had a nightly cost of around $250-$300 if we had tried it on our own! The one near Palmullke was a resort with a mineral bath and thermal bath, which we got to use for free. The coach was very nice and extremely clean. The driver was excellent and I was never nervous with him driving. Things went very smoothly and check-in, about which I had trepidations, went rapidly.

I intend to use your company when I go to China.

We had a wonderful trip in Egypt. Everything was very well organized, the local guides were waiting for us when we got there, the hotels were very good, food was good, the Nile cruise and the ship were fantastic, our Egyptologist guide was knowledgeable and very good, I was impressed by the organization of the trip. I would take Gate1 Travel again on a future trip.

Absolutely loved it. A little rainy for about a day and part of another one. We went prepared for it and it didn't stop us from enjoying the BEAUTIFUL islands of Greece. We rented motor scooters for the two islands and toured every nook and cranny. They are gorgeous. Would recommend Gate 1 Travel for anyone as we were well taken care of the entire trip. We were met at the times they told us for every leg and they even made sure we were going to make our flight back home. We'll certainly remember you for future trips. Speaking of which, what do you have for Cairo?

Wow what a fabulous vacation we had! I would recommend a Gate 1 vacation to anyone. We never traveled in a "group" before, but it ended up being so much fun.

They kept us moving and I still can't believe all the sights we saw each day. The first day alone, we saw the pyramids of Giza, then onto the Sphinx; lunch in an open air restaurant for a absolutely wonderful meal cooked on an open spit; afternoon we went to the Cairo Museum which houses the 3 gold sarcophagus of King Tut and his gold headdress along with his jewelry; then a trip to the Khan al Khalili bazaar.

Everyday was pretty much like that. Some days we got to take a nap in the afternoon while cruising along the Nile though. I was shocked that while we were cruising down the Nile, the scenery was what I pictured in Biblical times. Still mud brick houses, camels and donkeys the main route of transpiration for people and goods. Cleaning clothes in the Nile. Also the dress of most of the people is still same as olden times.

I can't say enough about our Guide, Mo. He was wonderful, cheerful, personable, knowledgeable, and I think the reason we had such a great time was mostly due to him. He went way above and beyond for everyone in our group even spending his spare time with us just talking and answering any questions we may have had about life in Egypt.

We also spent 3 days in a gorgeous new resort on the Red Sea. I didn't realize that the Red Sea was so nice. The water was as clear as the Caribbean or Hawaii. We went snorkeling off the reefs and saw a myriad of fish. I even saw an octopus! The water was a beautiful
blue/green - different color from Hawaii, but just as beautiful. I think we saw just as many and wide variety of fish there as in Hawaii last year.

We also added a hot air balloon ride to our trips. That was fabulous. We were in the balloon just as the sun was coming up and traveled over the temple ruins and the valley of the kings/Queens. I think that may have been one of
the highlights of the trip.

We saw so many temples and ruins, and our guide gave us so much information about each, that if I remember even a fraction of it, I will be lucky. The cruise ship down the Nile was fun too.

We also visited a Nubian village to see how they live. That was very interesting, too. Houses have walls but no roof. I was surprised at how big the house really was (even if it was made of mud brick).

Another surprising thing was the weather. I assumed it would be very hot, which it was, but there was always a very nice breeze. Then in the evening, it would cool down and be very pleasant where your could wear slacks easily.

My daughter and I were so impressed with your attention to detail and the running of your tour that we had already discussed our next adventure. I just got a promotion today from Gate 1 for a trip to Greece. I immediately sent it to my daughter and she is already trying to figure out when her break will be from graduate school in the fall so we can book it!

Our tour guide Akin was superb, very knowledgeable, helpful, enthusiastic, and with a perfect command of the English language. The driver and helper on the bus were professional and helpful. The bus itself was modern and comfortable. Everything including the schedule, hotels, food and sightseeing was on plan. My husband and I recently returned from our 15 day trip to Israel. We had the most wonderful trip one can imagine. First, we had a smooth flight on El-Al. Upon arriving in Israel, a representative from Gate 1 was there to greet us. After we had our first sniff of Israel's air, we boarded the bus to the hotel. We passed along some lovely areas. as we came closer to Tel-Aviv, we were so happy to see crowds of Israelis celebrating the holiday of Purim . It was so nice.

We walked around and had our first lunch...a kosher big mac. Our room was on the 18th floor. The view was fabulous- the Mediteranean Sea! We had two very nice days and the weather was warm enough for a long stroll along the beach and watch the beach goers.

Our next stop was Tiberias, where we went on a boat ride across the Kinneret. It was the best time . The American flag was hoisted to fly alongside the Israeli flag. We stood to sing the Star Splangled Banner and the Hatikvah, they then played a tape of Hebrew songs and a few of us danced. It was great.

The rest of the tour and all the places we visited - Haifa, Massada, Golan heights - were beyond words of description. Jerusalem, of course, was the highlight. It was so meaningful, being able to touch the western wall, say prayers, and place notes in the wall. I can't describe how great it felt! We also visited the Holocaust Museum which was so emotionally moving.

The tour finished by resting in Eilat. It is so beautiful there. A bunch of us went on a 2 hour glass bottom boat ride - another fun time. We met a goup of Amercans doing volunteers for Israel. They were very nice. More great Israeli music was played. It was so touching. Schlomo was a great tour guide. He was very knowledable and got us going w/minimal delays. He showed us so much and made each stop quite the learning experience. Our Eilat guide, Rachel, was like having a friend along. One of the evenings at the hotel, there was a singer and some dancing. When the singer sang a particular song, a circle was formed and I joined in with her and several Israelis that were vacationing there. I felt so happy. My husband and I will never, never, ever, forget this trip. I am sure there is no trip that could top this. We met so many nice people from all over the USA and Canada. We had the best group of people and became like a family. we have been in touch, via the power of e mail, and hope to meet up one day. Since ive been back, I haven't stopped talking about our experiences in Israel. I've highly recommended Gate 1 to co workers, friends, neighbors, people in local stores and people I speak with during the realm of my job, I know my husband has done the same.

We have many hundreds of pictures and are in the process of creating a dvd w/ musical accompaniment.

In closing, thank you Gate 1 for having such a fabulous itenerary. it was quite intense but we saw more than any of our friends that went with other tour companies. We will always remember this trip to a most wonderful and beautiful country. Keep planning many more trips there. Its so worth it.

I recently returned from a Gate 1 excursion through Egypt and the Red Sea. My mother-in-law organized a trip for five of us to enjoy a much needed spring break and I can honestly say, it was a hit!

After landing in Egypt, the Gate 1 team took care of everything. Mohamed, our tour organizer, was enthusiastic and professional. He treated every traveler as if they were his only client. Even going above an beyond for our family when my mother-in-law took ill early in our vacation. Within a matter of minutes, he had a doctor on board to evaluate her illness and get her the medication she needed. She was back on her feet in no time.

We owe him a debt of gratitude.

Supporting Mohamed were two excellent Egyptologists that worked very diligently to make sure their groups were entertained and informed. Even beyond the guided tours, Hossam and Usama made themselves available to discuss the sights or Egyptian culture in general.

Hossam was our group leader. I cannot speak enough about his talent. I was constantly amazed by the wealth of knowledge he shared regarding Egyptian culture. It was also a great pleasure having someone so interested in American culture -- he offered a lot of insight, drawing comparisons not offered in guide books. Even though we were part of Hossam's group, we quite frequently enjoyed time with Usama.

Mohamed, Hossam and Usama made for an excellent team -- they worked well together professionally and it was clear that they enjoyed each other's company on a personal level. My husband, my sister-in-law and myself are all 20-somethings so it was extremely refreshing to have such a wonderful group of young professionals on board. And, I know, young and old alike, everyone on our trip had a wonderful time with our Gate 1 guides. I saw nothing but smiles and heard nothing but positive comments throughout the trip.

I must also add that the staff of the Queen of Sheeba also provided superior service and a host of fond memories.

Our family enjoyed this trip.... We're already thinking of how we can return and bring more friends and family. If we do come back, we'd love to have Mohamed, Hossam and Usama as our hosts. Thanks to these gentlemen, Gate 1 and the amazing people we met along the way, our trip was a great success.

Our trip was spectacular. Egypt was one of the top trips that our family has taken. The temples were breath-taking, the Nile Cruise was great and it was nice getting to the Red Sea. Our tour guides were competent, dedicated and went out of their way to guarantee our comfort and safety. Our experience was close to perfect. All five of us agree, we would go back in a heartbeat. Gate 1 rocks in Egypt!

I just recently got home from the 15 day Egypt trip and cannot believe how much fun I had. I went with my parents and brother-and-sister in law! Even with the wide age difference of us all (22 through 57), everyone had one of the best vacations ever! We were in Hossam's group and not only learned way more about each temple than expected, we just had a blast doing it! All the tours were fun and informative and I came home remembering way more information than I could have imagined! Mohamed, Hossam, and Osama went above and beyond to make sure that we were safe, informed, and entertained the entire time! They are wonderful people and we all feel privileged to have had them on our trip!

Also, we had so much fun with all the staff on the Queen of Sheba! Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and relaxed!

I have only positive things to say about the trip. Loved every minute of it. A lot was done in 8 days. The Sheraton Tel Aviv and the Daniel Dead Sea hotels were great! The food, tours, tour guide, Dov and bus driver were all outstanding. I would recommend Gate 1 to all of my friends and would not hesitate to travel with you again.

It was a terrific vacation! My wife Anna (whose 40-th birthday was the main reason for this trip) said: "The best vacation ever!"

I can't disagree with her. Program was great, organization of the tour was excellent, guides are knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with, can't complain about the weather! That was the first time we booked tour through you, guys, but I can assure you, not the last one!
