We had the best trip of our lives in Egypt. The accommodations were top shelf and we especially liked the river boat. Our tour guide Maged was so fascinating, intelligent, knowledgeable and friendly. He made our visits to ancient Egypt a learning experience. I am so glad you encouraged us not to miss Abu Simbel, this was definitely one of the highlights. The excursions were well chosen and I would recommend them all. I'm telling everyone I know to make this trip of a lifetime. We are looking at the river cruise from Moscow to St Petersburg. This is our 4th trip with Gate 1 and we have enjoyed them all!!

The trip was wonderful. Much more than I expected. Tunisia is a beautiful country, spotlessly clean, with lovely people. Only 2 hours from Paris and one hour from Rome, it is an undiscovered jewel. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants sun, beaches, resort hotels mixed with pristine ruins and lovely people. This was my first trip with Gate 1 after having traveled the world for years with other tour operators and I would go on another Gate 1 trip again and will highly recommend you to my traveling friends. Please be sure to keep me apprised of any new and interesting trips you have in the works presently or in the future.

Thank you! The trip was absolutely splendid! The hotels were outstanding and the Nile River cruise was delightful; and what else can be said about all the historic monuments and sites one can enjoy in Egypt except breathtaking. Both tour directors were good, and Mostafa excels - he really goes out of his way to make one's trip memorable. In truth, I was somewhat worried because I had invited two other couples to join us on this trip and I had never traveled with Gate 1. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the unexpected high level of quality in all pertinent aspects of the tour. In fact, I have become an non-commissioned promoter of Gate 1 Travel.

Our trip to Turkey was one of the best we've ever taken anywhere in the world. We weren't exactly sure what to expect, but every aspect of the journey was incredible. The sights are something else. The food and rooms were very good. But what made this trip particularly noteworthy were: the city of Istanbul (we could easily spend another week there) and our tour guide Shanol. He was one of the two best tour guides we've experienced (the other being on our trip to Thailand!). Thanks again for your help in arranging this memorable journey!

I would like to say that Sameh, our tour guide was exceptional. I can not say enough about him. Personable, knowledgeable, caring, focused, professional and an excellent sense of humor. He made our trip extra special! Our other guard Amro, was also excellent.

The hotel in Cairo was fine. The resort in Hurgata was great. The boat and Nile cruise was fantastic. The crew on the boat were absolutely great! Liked the body guards. Especially the one in Cairo. Nice touch. The desert safari was fun!

I had an awesome time! Our tour guide, Mohamed, was so informed, courteous, and sensitive. Accommodations were very nice and the staff on our ship was superb. The sequence of events for my 15 day trip was flawless and I have a multitude of great memories.

It was, without a doubt, one of the best trips I have ever been on. Ibraheem took EXCELLENT care of us, always looking ahead for any little problems that might occur. The trip had such contrasts from riding a camel to see the sunrise, to being in snow in the mountains. The people of Morocco are gracious and welcoming. I had taken French lessons ahead of time and my Peace Corps daughter also went on the trip. We had a lot of fun with our French. My son and granddaughter were also on the trip and we just had the very best time. I think the one thing that contributed the most to the success of the trip was Ibraheem's excellent sense of timing, knowing when it was really important to see Roman ruins, not in the heat of the day, but as the sun was lower with that special afternoon light. He is a master of detail. I definitely will travel more with Gate 1.

OMG!!! We had the most fabulous time. I cannot speak highly enough about Gate 1. You guys forget nothing. The guides we had, Hanan, Romani, Vivian, Merkat and, of course, Mohammed were unforgetable. So knowledgeable it was mind blowing.

I cannot even decide the best part of the trip, because every day was an adventure and surprise. I will travel again and again with Gate 1. Thank you for everything! You were great. I know it is quite something to put together a trip like this for so many. Gate 1 was very accomodating with all our requests.

Hard to believe we have been home for three days now from our trip to Egypt. We wanted to tell you that you exceeded our expectations in every way, and as this was our first tour, our expectations were high! From the pick up at the airport, to the hotels, to the flight home, everything was exceptionally well done. The sights we saw were amazing and words cannot explain the awe we felt as we stepped in places that were walked upon by the Pharaohs so long ago. The hotels were great!

One of the best parts was our tour guide - Hassan. He made our group feel like a part of his family. While making sure our adventure was a learning experience, he managed to connect his personal and family life to many of the amazing sights we saw. He was always willing to answer our questions, knew when it was important to spend extra time, and kept us aware of local customs and traditions so that we would be sure to respect the Egyptian way of life. His love of education was obvious and his abiding energy contagious!

Congratulations on a job well done! We now have the "travel bug" and will be using Gate 1 again in the not so distant future.

We had a marvelous time. The itinerary was perfect - lots to see and we didn't feel rushed. Our tour guide was fabulous! He was very informative, warm, friendly and just a very giving person. He really made our trip even more wonderful. The group of people were also very easy to be with and we became a little family. We have all exchanged e-mail addresses and hopefully will stay in touch.

We will highly recommend your tour company. We can't fault it for anything - the trip was smooth, organized, not too structured and wonderful. Price was the best!!!!

The trip was a great trip. The cruise ship was fantastic, especially the staff! Our tour guide, Ayman, was the highlight of the entire trip. His knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for the history, mythology and culture of ancient and modern Egypt was second to none. Ayman made the trip 10 times better than what it could have been without him. I felt privileged to have such an organized and helpful person on our side. He went above and beyond to make the trip as comfortable and easy as possible, while watching out for our best interests at the bazaars and markets.

The sites were unbelievable and the pace was quick, which allowed for greater coverage. Ayman is a superstar in your company and should be recognized as such. Would I recommend that someone take this trip!

My husband and I just returned from our Egypt for Less trip, WOW we had a great time! Kudos to the Cairo staff and in particular Tarek, our tour manager, he was with us at each location (on the Nile River cruise and at the Swiss Inn Resort) and did a great job coordinating everything. I would also like to mention our Egyptologist Hossam, he was a fabulous guide and provided a wealth of information!

The accommodations both on the Queen of Sheeba boat and at the hotel were great. We especially enjoyed the two optional excursions that we signed up for (Nile River Shore and Full Day Cairo) and thought they were good deals!

I don't usually write reviews about my trips, but I really felt compelled to this time around. This is my second trip with Gate 1, and I have been saying to my friends since I got back - "once you travel with Gate 1, there is no turning back!" All my trips from now on will be through Gate 1.
The 15 day Egypt tour far surpassed my expectations. The tour leader Mohamed, and the two Egyptologists - Mohamed and Hossam were outstanding. They took care of us like we were family and their love and passion for their country and culture made the trip truly outstanding. They were amazingly accomodating, and they went out of their way to ensure that all our needs were met. Mohamed, our tour guide made his laptop available to all 76 of us to access the internet while we were on the Nile cruise, and he was always available, even outside of tour times to answer questions that we had about the culture and the places that we had visited during the tour.

The entire tour - from the airport pickup, the choice of hotels, the means of transportation, the tour sites - was first class. This trip was excellent value for money. Gate 1, you delivered again. Thank you so much!

Look forward to using your company again for my trip next year.

Until I went to Egypt, I could never choose which trip was my favorite. Now, without hesitation, the answer is Egypt. It was an amazing experience, much different than any vacation I have ever been on before. Seeing the ancient Egyptian temples and pyramids and learning about the history and culture was fascinating. Our tour guide, Mohamad, was outstanding!! His knowledge was limitless, no question went unanswered no request went unfulfilled. It is evident that what he does is a calling, not just a job. Mohamed truly made our trip one of my most memorable vacations I have ever experienced. I recommended Gate 1 Travel's Egyptian trip and Mohamed to one of my clients who is considering traveling to the area. I look forward to working with you again to schedule my next vacation.

AH MAN!! This was the best trip of my life. Gate 1 was organized and on point. My tour guide Vivian was the bomb. She was very knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, energetic, interested. The tour director Bill was also cool and on point. The river boat crew was great.. The entire trip was spectacular, exciting, amazing, fulfilling, enlightening and any other adjective you can think of that is good. I would definitely use Gate 1 again and refer my friends also... I am still on a high from this trip.

Christina and I have arrived safely back and I am still recovering from all the traveling and time difference. Like always, it is good to be home again to share all the excitement of an adventure with family and friends.

The tour was so much more than I could have ever expected, and I am still trying to keep it all straight in my head. Turkey, the gateway between Europe and Asia, the home of Sufism, the religious center of Ephesus, the Silk Road and caravanserae, the fairyland of Cappadoccia., the fascinating city of Istanbul.....all of this plus a great group of people to share it with.

Our tour guide Dilek was the best and made the trip very special. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was incredible and brought Turkey closer to us and will help to understand our differences. The people of Turkey were warm and welcomed us with open arms. We had great personnel conversations with people, men and women, and I hope, more people will travel the world, to see, that we all can get along and respect each other.
In the end, we are all the same, with dreams, families and friends.

My friends and I recently took your 8-day trip to Egypt. I wanted to write to tell you what a great experience we had.

We were greeted at the airport by a professional man who took care of everything for us. He ensured that all our bags were loaded onto the bus in an expedient manner. We definitely appreciated this after the long flight.

We were then greeted by our tour director Sam - who made the trip most enjoyable. Sam ensured that absolutely everything was taken care of - right down to the wake up calls. He recommended restaurants for us, and ensured we had a cab ride where we wanted to go when there was a bit of down time. He went out of his way to ensure that every single guest had all their needs/wants met. He organized our group and kept us moving at an appropriate pace. He was pleasant to be around, and had a huge amount of patience. He was simply incredible. Best tour director I have ever met.

Our tour guides, Ramy and Mohammed were also fantastic. They were extremely knowledgeable and offered may interesting stories about the ruins in Egypt. They made the sight seeing extremely interesting. In addition, they were fun and really seemed to get along with everyone on the tour.
The cruise down the Nile was better than expected. The boat was fun and the staff very nice. Raoul, our server in the dining room was awesome. He was a nice young man that catered to anything we wanted. He was always smiling and pleasant. He went out of his way to be helpful. My cabin attendant, Ramadan was great as well. He left stuffed animals made out of the towels (just like the large cruise lines), and left everything in immaculate order. One person on our tour had a birthday during the trip, and the staff made sure to have a celebration at dinner one night. They got everyone up dancing and doing a conga line. The tour direct also organized a galabya party on the boat one night. Nearly the entire tour group attended. The tour director told us how to shop for a galabya and had great dancing games and fun organized for everyone.

All-in-all, this was by far the best organized tour I have ever been on!! All the staff was excellent and we had a fantastic time. I have recommended the trip to all my friends.
