It was a relaxing and enjoyable trip! The crew on MS Royal was wonderful and hospitable - even greeting us with hot cocoa and juice after a day's tour, the food was excellent. The Gate 1 tour guides are very knowledgeable, friendly and punctual on all tours. All the flights were on time.

We really enjoyed our River Cruise on the Rhine aboard the MS Symphony. I commend Gate 1 Travel for the excellent service we received in every aspect of the trip. We were met at the Amsterdam Airport by Gate 1 personnel and transferred to our river boat; the cruise itself was wonderful and the food served on board was exceptional. Also, the three Program Directors, Monique, Roland and Peter were as knowledgeable and efficient as any we have encountered.

We also enjoyed the three days we spent in Lucerne after we disembarked the boat and Peter was very helpful in any information we requested. The activities on board the Symphony; the tours in the towns where we docked; and the tours taken in Lucerne were all very enjoyable.

Thanks for the great trip and we will certainly recommend Gate 1 Travel to our friends and family.

The true highlight of the cruise was our Tour Director, Anna. She is a ray of light... so enthusiastic and full of life. She was very informative about each and every stop we made...
always making sure to ask if she was going too fast for the group. She added humor and joy to our time in Europe.

We recently took a 15 day Riverboat/land tour on the Amadeus Symphony. We began in Warsaw and ended our trip in Prague.

We are writing to tell you what a wonderful time we had. Everything from the flight over on Lufthansa to the return went smoothly with no delays to speak of. Our tour guide, Sandra, in Poland couldn't have been more pleasant and knowledgeable. The hotels were very nice and the breakfasts were more than one could hope for. The hotels were also located with easy access to city centers and major sights. Our local tour guides were also very good and knew the answers to our questions, right down to the best place to eat that evening for some local flavor.

This was our first experience with Gate1 and a riverboat cruise. We were very pleasantly surprised with the boat, the accommodations and the staff. The staff could not do enough for us. Our tour director, Kate, was phenomenal. She was pleasant, knew the cities we visited and also had a fantastic sense of humor. The local guides, once again, were very good. We enjoyed the "coziness" we experienced on the boat. It was always nice to see the Captain, the Chef, the Hotel Services Manager, walking about and stopping to speak with passengers.

Each meal was an experience with dishes that expressed the local flavor of whatever port we visited. and varied enough to suit any taste. We enjoyed the fact that local wines were served with dinner each night.

We saw and experienced so much in the 15 days. We especially liked that many tours were included... Whoever thought I would be sitting in a historic concert hall in Vienna listening to Strauss' music!! There was also enough free time to allow you to go back and visit afterward.

We traveled in a party of 6 and we all had the same wonderful experience.

Once again, let me say that we had a wonderful trip. We hope to be able to travel again with Gate1.

It was AWESOME!!! You guys really did a good job on this cruise. The program directors Miklos and Yvonne was so nice and interesting and well versed in the countries we went to. The food was incredible - I was anticipating ok type food however we were very pleasantly surprised. Everyone one who worked the cruise was so helpful and nice - it was such a shame we had to leave to go home.

Our ship was very nice and the cabins were comfortable. The whole trip was so impressive I can't express it in words - ok maybe Thank You!!!

We plan on keeping in touch with a lot of the people we met on the ship.

We hope to take another cruise next year - keep up the good work!!

First of all, we encouraged two other couples to go with us as we feel so strongly positive about Gate 1. It is always kind of nerve-racking to do this since you want to be sure they have a good time. The end results - both have declared to several people that it was one of the best, if not the best trips they have ever been on. They, as well as we, were impressed with the ease from the day of arrival to departure. The staff was absolutely terrific - not only being extremely efficient but so warm and welcoming as well. We have never done a river cruise before and will definitely do it again - but probably only with Gate 1. We can't say enough - the food was
excellent, the Christmas markets were breathtaking - and the boat was impeccable. This is our third trip with Gate 1 and we are planning on doing many more.

We have recommended Gate 1 to several of our friends - 6 have taken us up on it - and they all rave about your company. Keep up the good work - keep letting us know about future trips - we are excited to plan another one.

Our Danube River cruise with Gate 1 couldn't have been better. Our room was meticulously clean and conveniently located. We loved leaving the drapes open at night and watching the scenery and the stars from our bed. The crew was great, always pleasant and accommodating. All of them worked so hard and yet had energy to spare the night of the crew talent show! The food was an adventure in European dining. We were amazed at the presentation considering all the meals had to be prepared at the same time. We especially enjoyed the soups. Having the wine and beer included at dinner was an extra special treat. Our Gate 1 tour guides, Roland, Rolf, Uwe and Birgitte were fabulous. All their arrangements went very smoothly, they kept us well informed with their postings at the information desk and their pre-dinner briefings. Although we were assigned to Rolf, all four guides treated each of us as if we were their one and only responsibility. There was always at least one of them available to answer questions or to solve any problems that arose. At night they "hung around" with us and added to the congeniality. And speaking of congeniality, we met some great people and made some special friends with whom we will continue to correspond. We also enjoyed the onshore tours. The tour guides and bus drivers were very professional. We liked having an overview of each place with some additional time to explore on our own.

The cruise was extra special to Leo as it was a "revisit" from the water side of part of the route he took two years ago when he bicycled 450 miles along the Danube. This was our first cruise ever, but we are sure Gate 1 has set the standard and there will be more to come.

The cruise was really great! Even the weather cooperated - mostly mid-80s and sunny! The ship was pristine and the staff could not have been more helpful. Everyone went out of their way to make the experience the best it could have been. We met some great couples that were so compatible that our initial foursome grew quickly to 6, then 8, then 12. Our tour coordinator, Rolf, had a wonderful sense of what the group wanted, and always managed to make it happen.

I have to say that it was one of the best vacations we've had in several years.

I really enjoyed my trip; I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I was most impressed with the Gate1 reps. They were all very friendly and always kept on top of everything, especially Ornulf. The ship staff was really friendly and the food on board was even better than I expected it to be ....not the least of which were the very tasty soups served each day!

I definitely feel that my trip was well worth the time spent and distance traveled, most relaxing, and priced very reasonably. I have already recommended Gate1 to several of my friends as the source to choose for an European river cruise.

I had a total blast both on the Bolero and off during the land tours - our team of cruise directors was excellent - Roland was a wealth of information and I enjoyed his bright humor and dedication to making our trip with him as memorable as possible. I had some time with the other 3 tour directors and found them to be delightful people, too!

I couldn't have asked for better food - tastes and presentations were to die for, the wine choices excellent and the lovely young European waiters and waitresses were delightful as were the rest of the crew onboard the Bolero. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I'd run into throughout my travels in Europe - a lovely array of choices and quality.

I enjoyed my one night prior to the cruise at the Eden Rembrandt Hotel - lovely accommodations and the restaurant was very nice

I would travel with Gate 1 again - and I would definitely do another riverboat cruise with you again - your choice of boat companies was excellent - I was tempted to stay on the boat to go on to Budapest when Roland told me there was room available......but, alas, I had obligations at home following my 6 more days in Amsterdam. I did think about it though. That's one I'd like to do now that I've discovered riverboat cruising. So.... river cruising was a total success as far as I'm concerned and I'm sure my fellow passengers feel the same way.

The Cruise operations, the actual tours, the transfers all went like clock-work.

The meals were excellent, as was the entertainment.

We had a WONDERFUL time! We made some great cruise friends and we really liked our tour guide, Roland. He was so much fun and very knowledgeable. The evening entertainment on the cruise was also a lot of fun - Dixie Land Jazz, chocolate tasting, beer tasting, and our favorite was the last night's crew talent show.

Fritz liked the guitar/keyboard player, Vesko, so much that he asked if Vesko made a CD that he could buy. Oh, and my birthday was the last night of the cruise and the wait staff brought out a cake and sang Happy Birthday. The whole experience was fantastic.

We had no issues using the vouchers for any of the transfers, hotels, etc. I took over 1000 pictures that I'm working on organizing. Amsterdam was beautiful - the weather was sunny and warm for the first half of the trip and then it got a little cooler, but still sunny.

The ship and it's crew were very professional and helpful. There's so much I can tell about, I could write a small novel. Needless to say, we'd recommend Gate1 to anyone and the next time we want to take a trip of a lifetime, we'll be looking to see what you have to offer.

We had a great time! The river cruise was perfect - busy with activities and history and comfortable surroundings. The crew and cruise directors were very knowledgeable and fun. They had everything ready everyday for the days activities - bus transportation, museum tours and lunch reservations. Fantastic to leave one town, drive the countryside for an hour, tour another town, eat lunch, have time to explore the town on your own and then go to a different town to meet the boat. The boat itself was pretty, very clean and smooth sailing. The cabins were fun with the French balcony so you could watch the scenery. The dining experiences were exceptional - meals and the service. Thanks so much for all that you did.
