It is not an exclusive tour and therefore you may be with passengers from other tour companies; signage may display the local tour company name, but will have your name; tour guides and vehicles may change throughout your tour, and your tour documents/vouchers may be requested to exchange for local bus/theater/hotel/flight/ferry tickets. Luggage tags or name badges are not provided.

DAY 1, Thursday or Saturday - Arrive in Las Vegas
Arrive in Las Vegas and transfer from the airport to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure to explore the “Entertainment Capital of the World”
*Please note an optional evening activity will be offered on Day 1 of your itinerary and can be purchased from your tour guide. It is recommended that passengers interested in joining the optional tour select flights that arrive before 3:30 pm
    Overnight: Las Vegas

DAY 2, Friday or Sunday - Death Valley en route to Mammoth Lakes**
Wake up early to meet your tour in the lobby for an 8:00 am departure. Having enjoyed the fast pace of glamorous Las Vegas, it will be sharp contrast this afternoon to enter the quiet and extreme environment of Death Valley. Situated in between some high and distant mountain ranges, this is by far the hottest spot on your journey! Stop at Zabriskie Point and Furnace Creek Ranch before continuing across the valley and ascending the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the alpine resort town of Mammoth Lakes. Mammoth Mountain was formed over 200,000 years ago as a series of volcanic eruptions. The area gained prominence as a gold mining town in the 19th century, but today it’s the skiing terrain and beautiful mountain vistas that attract visitors from near and far
    Overnight: Mammoth Lakes**

DAY 3, Saturday or Monday - Yosemite National Park
A short drive brings you over the Tioga Pass** high in the Sierras into the scenic wonderland of Yosemite National Park. The park is home to a truly spectacular collection of waterfalls – most famously Bridalveil Falls – as well as groves of giant sequoias, the planet’s largest living things. Within the park, you will see the majestic, glacial-shaped granite formations of El Capitan (called “Shooting Star” by the Native Americans) and Half Dome, which rise from the valley floor
    Overnight: Modesto

DAY 4, Sunday or Tuesday - San Francisco Sightseeing Tour
Depart early this morning, crossing the Oakland Bay Bridge to arrive in San Francisco, one of the most beloved cities in America. Commence a sightseeing tour of the "City by the Bay", which includes such landmarks as Union Square, Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, Golden Gate Bridge and Park, and The Castro District. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure
    Overnight: San Francisco

DAY 5, Monday or Wednesday - Day at Leisure in San Francisco
The whole day is at leisure in San Francisco. Standing on a hilltop, watching the fog swirl in through the Golden Gate, it is easy to understand why many consider San Francisco the most beautiful city in America. The crests of many of the city’s hills, particularly Twin Peaks, afford matchless views of downtown San Francisco and the East Bay. Your tour guide is on hand to assist with making your plans for the day - perhaps a cable car ride to Fisherman’s Wharf, or a stroll and some shopping around Union Square. Other must-see attractions include Alcatraz, the San Francisco Zoo, Haight-Ashbury and the Mission District
    Overnight: San Francisco

DAY 6, Tuesday or Thursday - Monterey and Carmel
Depart San Francisco this morning for the drive to the Monterey Peninsula, known for its enclave of magnificent homes and lovely beaches. In Monterey, visit Fisherman’s Wharf and famous Cannery Row. Then tour charming Carmel-by-the-Sea, noted for its quaint houses, upscale art galleries and unique stores. In the afternoon continue the drive south past Paso Robles to end your day in one of the quaint Central Coast towns for overnight
    Overnight: Pismo Beach

DAY 7, Wednesday or Friday - Santa Barbara en route to Los Angeles
Journey south through the Santa Ynez Valley into Santa Barbara, where palm-lined walkways border white sandy beaches. Stop for lunch here, and enjoy the Spanish heritage and architecture. Upon arrival in Los Angeles this afternoon, you will enjoy a sightseeing tour through the “City of Angels,” including such famous sites as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, the Sunset Strip, and Santa Monica, before reaching your hotel
    Overnight: Los Angeles

DAY 8, Thursday or Saturday - Return Home
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight

**Winter Routing: The Tioga Pass may be closed due to weather or road conditions, in which case the tour will travel through Death Valley into central California, traveling through Mojave and Bakersfield, passing fields of almond, cherry, and orange trees. You will overnight in Fresno and a visit to Mammoth Lakes will not be possible (winter routing is more likely to affect departures between October and May under normal snow conditions).
