My trip was the greatest I have ever been on. I had so much fun and I wish I didn’t have to come back. I LOVE your travel company. You guys make traveling so affordable and the accommodations we get for the prices we pay are phenomenal. Plus, you guys are so helpful with any questions and concerns we might have as a customer. I'm definitely booking another trip with you guys and I informed all my coworkers about your company. I have no complaints or regrets. I'm very happy that I booked with Gate 1.

Really interesting and eye opening. I found some of the preconceived notions I had about China were baseless and there were other things I had no idea about. I feel like I have a deeper understanding about life there, what they pride themselves in, and how they’re collectively working towards the future. Our tour manager Jason Yin was fantastic and did an amazing job at accommodating to individual needs and being as inclusive as possible. I look forward to doing it again in a few years to see how much has changed city-wise and culturally.

This was our first trip with Gate1 and to China ... Getting a taste of China was a real eye opener for us and your company's service made it a very enjoyable experiance. Our main tour guide Ivy was fantastic and we really enjoyed Tom in Shanghai at the end ... Gate1 appears to have a very good service oriented corporate culture and employees we've interacted with appear to like working for your company. We thought the trip was a great value and will definitely look to Gate1 for our next tour. Keep up the good work.

We had a wonderful time. I just wanted to commend our guide, Jason Yin, for his excellent management of our tour. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and he took excellent care of all our needs. But more than that, he is very creative and went beyond what is required of a tour manager by creating additional activities and providing information that allowed our group to better understand and appreciate the people and culture of China. He is a natural at this business and you should never let him get away.

My trip to China with Gate1 was spectacular in every respect, especially because of our tour manager, Maggie Zhu. I have spoken to my fellow travelers on the trip, most of whom are very experienced travelers, and some of whom I feel will be lifelong friends...they unanimously agree that thanks to Maggie Zhu this was truly the trip of a lifetime. China is of course an incredible country to explore, but Maggie Zhu's people skills are phenomenal - she was always thorough, clear, patient, detailed, understanding, resourceful, meticulous, reliable, dependable, proactive, helpful and funny, and she possesses an encyclopedic knowledge of China, its rich history, people, traditions, culture, economy, society, customs, norms and values that she readily shared with us in spectacular English with great aplomb, humor, and clarity. Based on this trip I will definitely be further exploring the world and traveling with Gate 1 in the future.

Our trip was amazing! Melinda, our guide, was the best guide ever. She really needs to be promoted and recognized for her efforts and her professional, positive leadership. She really works hard to ensure the group has the best experiences, take care of her! She's very organized and knowledgeable about the history, culture, region, finds fun things to do, and keeps the group moving to get the most out of the time left in the day. Highly recommend her, very gracious person. George did a good job too, very interesting person and can tell he too loves his career. We loved Gate 1 and so does she. You all did a great job.

I just completed the online survey, but want to say more about our tour guide, Rosie. She was fantastic in every way. She made the value of this trip even greater by sharing her knowledge of local places to eat and shop.e m Shade sure each of our meals was more than delightful. Any question was answered in a friendly and competent way. It was like being in a family with our mother Rose to show us the way. She took a personal degree of attention to every aspect of the trip. Nothing we asked was beyond her. AMazing! I can not say enough good things about her. China is an amazing place, and the quality of Gateone showed through in every aspect. There we nice touches, like taking care of our luggage, and other little extras. Not only would we do another trip with Gateone, but would ONLY do trips with you in the future. Why go anywhere else when everything is taken care of so well.

In addition, the accommodations were very good and in excellent locations. The staff at all hotels were very friendly to us travelers and helpful as well. I especially loved the giant pandas and cruising the Yangtze ( a childhood dream come true). The meals were excellent and our group loved being introduced to rice-stuffed baked pumpkin. The acrobat evening show was awesome. This was my first Gate1Travel trip and I hope it will be the first of MANY. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for making this all happen!

The trip was great! As always (all Gate 1 tours that I have been on) it was very well organized, with a very interesting itinerary, very knowledgeable tour guides (tour manager as well as local tour guides), good hotels, delicious food. Thank you to Gate 1 and all of you!

The trip was AWESOME, thanks to Stone, our guide...he's the best. The tour was great because of his abilities to foresee and plan accordingly to any potential needs of the guests. I highly recommend him to be a permanent part of Gate 1 in that part of the world! It would be your loss if you don't.

Our trip to China was wonderful!! Jessica our tour guide made this trip extra special. She's an excellent tour guide with a lot of enthusiasm and love for her country. Jessica made the country come alive for us. Our local guide Shirley and Louise were also wonderful. Our hotels were all excellent with fabulous morning buffets that appeal to both the east and western pallet. This was a trip that we had wished to do for many years and I am so glad that we were able to do it with Jessica. We are all very proud to be part of Jessica's family!!

A wonderful experience thanks to our tour guide Joan. Her hard work was observed throughout the entire trip. Under her watchful eye things ran smoothly, as she saw to all the details. Gate 1 has given us a most interesting and diverse travel experience of China.

Amazing. Our tour guide, Joan, was like a momma hen. She took care of every detail along the way. She watched over us at every hotel, airport and restaurant. She was so knowledgeable about culture, language, religion, daily life and the Chinese people. She made the trip so much more enjoyable. For me it was the trip of a lifetime. I'm so glad that I chose Gate 1 and so I've already booked my next trip thru you.

Words cannot describe it!!! From the moment we stepped off the plane in Shanghai until we left Hong Kong it was a wonderful and truly educational experience. I believe a tour manager can make or break your trip and we were so fortunate to have the best!!!! Jason Liu was our manager and he was incredible. It was that wonderful smile that greeted us every morning to start the day. He was so organized, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with...he truly made us feel like his family. Each day was a new adventure but he had us well prepared for it. All of our local guides were good but Ariel in Shanghai like Jason stood out from the crowd. Her commentary and wit made each day so enjoyable. It truly was a trip of a lifetime....thanks Gate 1.

It was awesome. This was my 4th trip with Gate 1, all of them fantastic! Melinda, our tour operator went above and beyond. She did everything she could to make everyone on the tour have the best time possible. We saw everything in the brochure and could not ask for more. Thank you!!!

It was a great trip as we really got immersed in the Chinese culture for the two weeks we were touring. Our group became like one big family and we are still connecting with them via FB and email. Jack, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept us on schedule. Participating in morning exercise at a park in Xian with the retired Chinese was a true highlight along with having tea in a Chinese home in Hotong, a district in Beijing, was a memorable experience. This was our 5th Gate 1 tour, and we will definitely continue to travel with Gate 1 in the future.

We had a wonderful trip lead by a great guide, Grace Wong. The local guides were also excellent, especially Jenny in Xian. We were the only Aussies but were well supported by two New Zealanders. We were impressed with hotels, food and the river cruise. What else can we say but this is our third Gate 1 trip and we haven't been disappointed yet. Great value for money and we will continue looking out for more great specials and tours. We keep recommending you to our friends.

I have to say, it was way more than I expected! Gate 1 Travel planned the perfect itinerary for this 13 day tour. Got us to see all of the amazing sites in China and loved every busy minute of it!  A special thanks goes out to Tom.  He was the most knowledgeable, kind, organized and friendly guide we have EVER had!!! He loves his job and the travelers he has in his care. At the end of the trip, he felt like part of our family.

Please extend a copy of this note to Tom; he is a huge asset to your company and I will definitely consider another Gate 1 trip because of him!

Our trip to China was all we hoped for and expected, plus. Our guide, Jason, was excellent on every level. He was very knowledgeable, articulate, patient, and reactive to the needs of the group. Gate 1 was welcomed warmly and treated with respect everywhere we went. What a terrific introduction to China and its people.

The trip was wonderful! Frank was the best guide and made the trip so interesting. He talked to us all the time telling us not only about what we were seeing, but also about what life in China is like. He knows so much about the history and what is going on today. Ariel in Shanghai was also wonderful. They went out of their way to take care of everything and never left a question unanswered or a problem unsolved. Frank also made our group enjoy being together!

In addition to the guides, the hotels and food were perfect! There is no way that I could have seen everything I did for the same amount of money on my own. We got to do so many things and stay in so many different places. Thank you so much!

Our trip was fantastic.  Gate 1 and our travel guide Tom were excellent.

We were most impressed with everything, our hotels, meals, size of the group, airport transfers, our tour guide and of course China.  Tom even accompanied us to the airport in Beijing for our flight home and made sure we were checked right through to Melbourne.  Unfortunately, our Beijing flight was late and we missed our connecting flight in Shanghai to Melbourne.  The airline put us up in a hotel with breakfast and lunch and booked us on the same flight the next day.

Also liked the little extras that Gate 1 threw in - luggage strap, tins of jasmine tea, a fan in the park in Shanghai and ice creams in the bus.  Never had any of these little treats with any other tour company we have travelled with.

We will certainly travel with Gate 1 from now on.  Please keep sending us the "specials" by email.

Many thanks for arranging everything for us.
