It was fabulous, better than my first time to Vietnam in 2006. Weather was great, food was amazing, hotels were wonderful, and we had a superior tour guide, Tho. Learned so much more than expected from him sharing knowledge of his culture, history, places we visited, economics, religion, education, health and social issues. The country has really grown in number of buildings, motor cycles, population, and cost. Many more tourists, including our group of 33, who are experienced travelers and enjoyed Gate 1 frequent times. Many plan to go other places in the future soon, including me.

Tuyan was a terrific tour guide. This was my 8th Gate 1 trip and he was the best. Very knowledgeable and engaging. I think he showed some of Vietnam most tourists don't see. Also visiting some of those places I remember hearing about during Vietnam war helped me put some things in perspective. The food and shopping were great too. Especially enjoyed Angkor Wat, Saigon, the tunnels, Hoi An and Hue, but everything was interesting and fun. I went on all the optional tours. We had a good group of travelers too.

Our trip was fantastic. To experience the culture and the dynamic of life in Vietnam was truly a life enriching experience. The cities were vibrant and bustling, the outlying village tour was a great gateway into the lives of the common Vietnamese way of life. Halong Bay boat trip and cave adventure was truly amazing. The food was fantastic the accommodations were great and our guide (although a little too politically focused) was very good. I would recommend this trip for anyone who is looking to experience other cultures around the world. The Vietnamese people were very friendly and engaging and eager to share their way of life with us. The host family for the dinner were such great hosts and really gave us an insight into the common family way of life. Overall a great trip and well worth the time, effort and expense.

We have been on a number of tours both with Gate 1 and with other tour companies. We have to say this was by far the best trip we have taken, well organised, accommodation was all top end, sight see well-spaced and country specific. It was a good trip. This was my first experience with Gate 1 and both my husband and myself feel your agency is a more superior company than who we went with before. Really considerate tour director and careful choice of hotels. The only disadvantage is due to currency exchange, we feel prices is a little high especially we are from the west coast. We hope to use your company again down the road.

The Vietnam trip was awesome. The itinerary, the structures, the towns and cities offered excellent opportunities to see how the Vietnamese live and work. This was my second trip to Vietnam and provided many new discoveries. Our trip leader, Cong (goes by Duc), was outstanding in all respects. I have been on many tours with many tour companies and tour guides, but DUC was the best. I would love to take a tour with him again. He is one of a kind. All the logistics and activities--hotels, meals, transportation, sightseeing, etc. were excellent also.

We had a wonderful tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. The tour was superbly organized, we had great food and centrally located hotels. Our tour manager offered many helpful suggestions about local restaurants and attractions. The group dynamics was probably the best I've experienced on any tour. We had a lot of fun and look forward to our next tour with Gate 1.

The trip was excellent. Could not ask for more for the price. Our tour guide, Dang, went out of his way to make the tours more pleasant and interesting. Will definitely recommend Gate 1 to our friends and family and will look to Gate 1 for our next trip to India.

I can't say enough good things about our trip, Vietnam was a wonderful experience. Our Tour Manager Mr. Trong was top notch, tons of fun, educational, and very easy to talk to. My wife and I love the guy! You will definitely get repeat business with us in the near future and we haven't stopped talking about the trip to our friends and family. Thank you for taking care of us and taking the guess work out of the trip. Looking forward to the next one!

It was EXCELLENT. Our guide was Tu. He took the time to explain not only the sights, but the Vietnamese culture and was extremely diplomatic when explaining the differences in culture between the US and Vietnam. He made us feel very comfortable and was there whenever we needed him. This was our first Gate 1 tour, but based on our experience, it won't be the last. Our friend is taking the same tour in April and we hope she has Tu as a guide.

One of the best ever. The guide was very knowledgeable about Vietnam and proud of his country. He offered an extra small trip on his own time that was not part of the itinerary. He spent time making sure my wife could keep up with the group. He was often available in the lobby to answer questions. This was my 3rd trip to Vienam and I learned many new facts that I had not known before.

I had a wonderful trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. The services and the tour guides were great and helpful. They all did an excellent job to make our trip interesting, comfortable and safe. Tour guides Buff (Vietnam) and Tok (Thailand) performed good services throughout the journey and I am pleased with their hard work. I will definitely use Gate 1 again in my future travels.

The trip was AMAZING. Our tour guide Duc in Vietnam is one of the most wonderful people I've ever met. He really understood each and everyone of our needs and personalities. (All 37 of us) He was there for us 24 hours a day. He is kind, patient, caring, flexible and brilliant. He managed every twist and turn of our adventure. I am a professional tour guide in Los Angeles so I know how difficult the job can be. Please pass this note on to the appropriate people so Duc can receive the proper accolades for an EXTRAORDINARY employee. He is truly an asset to Gate 1 Travel!!!!

Our trip was just awesome!! I just arrived back home today, even though our portion of our trip with you ended on the 14th. I only want you to know how special Yang is. He was our assigned Vietnam guide. What a gentleman. He had a sense of humor, clearly is very smart, has a fabulous way with the people in the group, communicates well, and has developed relationships on the ground where he brings people that make the experience that much more special. If only all guides were his clone. Thanks for providing a great experience. We loved it.
