MS Midnatsol was put into service on 15 April 2003 and is the fourth Hurtigruten ship to bear this name. The ship has a strong environmental profile and a modern design, with Norwegian materials used extensively throughout its interiors.

All cabins include private bathrooms with shower. Most of the cabins have separate beds where one doubles as a sofa, while some are equipped with a double bed or upper and lower berths. All the cabins have individual specifications.

MS Midnatsol is named for the midnight sun and has a strong environmental profile & modern design. It is an ice class 1X ship, equipped with advanced technology, making it the perfect vessel for expedition cruising in Antarctic waters! The newly refurbished ship offers suites and cabins that are spacious and comfortable, with contemporary appointments and a sense of style. The Midnatsol has a two story viewing lounge soaring above the bows, giving you far-reaching, panoramic views of the passing white wonderland, marine creatures and dramatic coastlines.
