My daughter and I had a wonderful time on our recent Gate1 adventure to Ireland. This was my third Gate 1 trip and her first, and everything worked liked clockwork from beginning to end; even the weather was fantastic. Our tour manager Matthew was the best. He was courteous, helpful and knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories of Ireland and life there. Our bus drivers Lee and Dan were skilled and careful and made sure we arrived everywhere safely. Its no easy feat driving a bus on those narrow roads but they did it well. The hotels on this trip were well located and we could walk from our hotels to the various town centres, pubs and attractions. We saw so much of beautiful Ireland on this tour including the major highlights and really enjoyed it. Thank you Gate 1 Travel.

What an incredible trip I had. Anne Marie our guide was excellent! She was friendly and efficient and attended to everyone's needs and we were a large group! Tony the bus driver was an incredible driver. Always got us around to places on time if not a little early and once down a narrow road he had to reverse the bus to get us out as we couldn't take the route. Everyone clapped when he completed the task without breaking a sweat. Also always friendly and courteous helping ladies down off the bus. I was impressed with all the hotels. The accommodations were better than expected and helpful. All close to the center of everything so we could walk to many sites to visit. I will certainly use Gate 1 again and I have already recommended the company to many of my friends!

Thank you Gate one for organizing an amazing trip. The trip was exceptionally wonderful. I had a blast visiting amazing places and meeting fellow travelers. David took great care of us. He has so many great qualities that makes him a superb tour manager. He was knowledgeable, organized, and easy to communicate with. He shared many stories and songs. I was also in awe of Michael's driving skills. He maneuvered that huge bus in narrow places. I will always be a Gate one traveler, because I don't think any company can beat what this company delivers. I should also mention Jim, our guide in Belfast. He was so passionate about sharing the history of his country with us. It truly opened my eyes to the struggle the people of Ireland faces. It's the love of history that makes me appreciate traveling.

The 9 day affordable Ireland Tour was not only my 1st Gate1 tour but my first trip outside the United States and I could not have been more pleased. My expectations with the quality of the hotels and meals provided as well as the tours planned were all well exceeded. I know that Gate1 didn't have any control over the weather but for off season in Ireland we had the most beautiful weather; very little rain and wind and the temps were not bad at all, and on the day that we went to the Cliffs of Moher it was blue skies and sunshine! The best part of the trip was probably the underlying support of our tour manager, Linda and coach driver Sean. They were both the cream of the crop when it comes to customer service. Linda not only did a fantastic job leading the tour and providing us with historical, fun and informative information but she also was caring of each person in the group and was the mother hen making sure all her chicks were doing well throughout. It wasn't obvious, but with my background I know that she worked hard to make sure that things were organized and smooth and dealt with issues so that we would not even know there might have been problems. Sean was amazing as well. It takes a special talent to navigate a huge bus on the narrow roads and tight corners and small town streets in Ireland and he did a superb job. He kept our coach clean, was friendly and always had a smile. Having these two as the foundation for the tour made the travel and memories just that much more special. I will definitely look to Gate1 first when considering my next vacation!

Just returned from my first Gate 1 tour (12 Day Kaleidoscope of Ireland) and am now committed to Gate 1! This tour was the best I have ever taken and I have traveled with numerous other companies before. The hotels were ALL centrally located and top notch. Our Tour Director was friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about Ireland as a whole, not just certain cities. She, our coach driver and all hotel staff were very Covid conscious and we all felt very safe. Everything ran smoothly and I'm ready to go again. Great job, Gate 1!

Our 16 day Scotland/Ireland tour was over the top wonderful. Our tour manager, Patrick, is the perfect guy for this job. He took total care of us from the minute we arrived at the hotel in Edinburgh until the morning we left Dublin for the airport. I cant say enough wonderful things about him. He shared so many stories that made the history of the beautiful cities come alive. He was an expert on the ancient history as well as current events in both countries. Since my ancestors come from both Scotland and Ireland, every single part of the tour was exceptionally relevant for me. He also shared music from both countries which made the long bus intervals fly by. He was knowledgeable about so many different aspects of the culture. the peoples and why this happened and why that happened. I only wish my former history teachers could have done as good a job as Patrick. Also our driver, Bryan, was also over the top wonderful. How he maneuvered that huge bus down those narrow lanes and around the mountain curves was amazing! and the hotels were also over the top wonderful. Overall our favorite tour so far and we plan to travel many more times with Gate 1 Travel.

My trip was wonderful. I really enjoyed the structure of the trip and what was included. I typically book my own itineraries so I appreciated the amount of free time. I did not want to drive in Ireland but wanted to cover a lot of ground so this trip was the best of both worlds. Patrick was a perfect guide. I enjoyed his stories and facts as we drove along. He was very accommodating for the group and really made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. I certainly learned a lot from him. Eddie was a fantastic driver. I don't know how he got that bus around the curves of the Ring of Kerry! Very impressive. He was also so sweet and goofy. My travel buddy and I agree that he made our trip! I can't say enough things about Patrick and Eddie.

The trip to Ireland was excellent. The hotels were very comfortable, the food was very good and the service was excellent. Ireland is a beautiful country and would definitely go again. The tour guide, Patrick, and driver, Eddie were superb. Gate 1 tours are the best and will definitely be traveling with Gate 1 in the future.

Outstanding…Our tour guide Alacoque was truly outstanding. She brought the places we visited to life with her stories about growing up in Ireland and her amazing knowledge of the history of Ireland. We highly recommend Gate 1 and look forward to traveling again as soon as possible!!

Our trip to Ireland was AMAZING and it was all thanks to Lenny (TJ the drive was incredibly good too)!! He was awesome, we couldn't have asked for a better tour manager. He went above and beyond for everyone. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining, We always felt comfortable talking to him and asking questions. I really appreciated the fact that we left early to beat the crowds, and then had the evenings to explore the town we were in! Everything was very well thought out and planned perfectly. I don't know how I can go on another trip without Lenny! We were so spoiled having him, I don't think any other tour manager could compare. We had an great experience though, we will definitely book through Gate 1 again! It's the way to go when visiting a city for the first time! You definitely hit all the major spots and must sees!! Our trip was wonderful. Our guide, Doug, couldn’t be any better. His knowledge of the history of Ireland and his wit kept us well informed and entertained. His attention to detail, kindness, and care of all of his guests was exemplary. Our driver, Kaspers, was phenomenal. He had full control of the vehicle at all times and assisted us in every way possible. It couldn’t have been a better experience and I’m sure everyone felt the same.

The trip was wonderful in every way. Ireland is a beautiful country with friendly, welcoming people. The hotels were great, food was great, and Martina, the tour guide, was outstanding. She is such a knowledgeable guide. Her background of Irish history is fantastic and she continually gave interesting details of the history we were seeing. She is a very organized person who displayed remarkable leadership skills for our group. I have been on several European trips and she is absolutely the best tour guide I have ever had. I cannot say enough great things about her. Simply incredible trip!

We had a fantastic trip to Ireland. This was the first trip to Europe for my children (11,12) and we couldn’t have had a better first experience. From our arrival in Ireland with the help to navigate the St. Patrick’s Day parade, to the shuttle back to the airport at 5:30 AM a week later was great. Edwina, our guide and TJ the driver were both fantastic. Edwina made the trip interesting and fun and taught a history lesson on the way that even my kids found interesting and not over done. The accommodations were nice and always in the best areas for pubs and shopping. Edwina’s recommendations for food and entertainment were always on target and made the experience even better. This was our second travel experience with Gate 1 and it certainly won’t be the last. Thank you for such a wonderful Spring Break trip to Ireland for my family.

The trip was outstanding. Organization was perfect and our tour director, Marie was fabulous. She helped us to make a side trip to the home of my ancestor, a great grandfather who was born in Kilcummin, just a few miles from Killarney. We were extremely happy with everything and will recommend Gate 1 to anyone searching for a tour company.

We had a wonderful trip! Our tour guide, Martina, was incredible. She was professional, articulate, funny, and so knowledgeable. It was obvious that she loves her country and has a passion for sharing its beauty and history with all of us. We felt secure and safe throughout our trip. Our bus driver, Fergal was amazing. He maneuvered that bus like it was a little car. We don't know how he did it. The entire process with Gate 1 was so comfortable, from booking to getting back on the plane. The trip was such a joy because Gate 1 attended to every detail. We will book another tour very soon! We've told several friends and family about it and they will be contacting Gate 1 also.

This was our first tour and we carefully selected Gate 1 Travel to be our guide. The entire trip - Kaleidoscope of Ireland, was better than I could have anticipated. Our Tour Manager, Cecilia B. was versed in Ireland's history, myths, legends, facts, current events, local sites & pubs ... She provided our Tour group with Text book information in the most educational & enjoyable way. Our bus driver, Hugo, ... Hugo provided a safe tour, and always watched out for every one... This tour was a great value for our money including Hotel accommodations, meals, castle attraction & event entry fees, etc. THANK YOU GATE 1 for the best tour ever!

Our trip was wonderful! Our main guide, Jim McIntyre, was very friendly, informative and helpful. The individual city guides were also great and really enhanced our understanding of the histories of their city. The hotels were very nice, well located, and the food they served was very good. We were very happy with our Gate 1 experience and we are looking forward to our next one.

It was a wonderful Ireland trip with a very knowledgable tour guide. Patrick and John did a great job bringing us to places in Ireland which have great historical significance to this country. The two Irish shows were fantastic and very entertaining and at the same time showed how the Irish struggled to come to its status now as a beautiful country. It was a trip worth remembering and keeping in my heart and memory.

I had the greatest time. I loved Ireland and Dublin. I also got to visit relatives I did not know i had in County Louth...My tour of the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Galway was also very nice. This is the second time I used Gate 1 travel and was very pleased with all of the arrangements.

Fabulous! Loved it all. Our Tour Manager, Anne, and bus driver Declan in Ireland were wonderful. Gate 1 took excellent care of us with smooth transitions. We loved the rotating seat assignments on the bus. The meals were good and the tour stops were beautiful, just what we wanted. It was our first trip with Gate 1. We'll do it again.

We had a great trip! Our tour guide Evelyn was the best. She made our trip enjoyable and did everything she could to make things go smoothly and comfortably. The only part of our trip that was disappointing was not being able to go to Galway because of the snowstorm but that was beyond our control, but overall the trip was great!
