5 Day Iceland's Northern Lights, November 2017
Dummy Image

The trip was excellent, I had limited concern as Iceland says they are a bit behind the curve in that the volume of tourists is increasing and their hotels etc are just now catching up , but I saw no lack of facilities. The hotel was good, the restaurants were great, the citizens of Iceland are very welcoming...Nothing could be improved upon , considering the geographies of the country, the trip, for me, was perfect. My tour director , Goodney and the driver, Augusto added very much to the enjoyment of this most pleasurable travel experience.

This was our 3rd Gate 1 trip to Iceland and we had a great time. Our guide, Kristin, provided a lot of new and interesting information and was very helpful with planning our independent activities. Iceland has such unusual and beautiful scenery that looks so different in different light and weather. Each visit is unique. Thanks for another fun trip and we are already booked with Gate 1 to tour the Yucatan later this year.

Our trip was wonderful! We saw the Northern Lights on two of our four nights there -once while out on the hunt with our group and once while walking in town on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the day trips and are very glad that we added the extra day to tour the Southern Shores. Our guide was excellent. We were surprised by the very high cost of food but we did find the food to be very good. Thank you for your help in setting up this trip for us.

Iceland was awesome! This was my third Gate 1 vacation and I was once again pleased with my tour guides, my fellow travelers, and, as usual, the masterfully handled logistics. I'm already psyched for my next trip!

We had a wonderful trip to Iceland! We were not expecting a guide but greatly enjoyed Einar's company for two full days. He was a terrific ambassador for his beautiful country, and had such a NICE personality!!! The hotel was nice, the breakfast delicious and the tours were great!

We had a wonderful time - the guide (Ronnie) and driver (Auto) were excellent, hotels clean and comfortable, food was much better than expected even the hotel buffets were great. The Icelandic people were very nice. To top it off, our hunt for the northern lights was a success and Martha (guide) and bus driver (retired fireman) went above and beyond to find them - they were just as excited to see them as we were ! The most successful Gate 1 trip, all around, that we have been on! Will be calling with questions about Australia & New Zealand trip for 2018.

The trip to Iceland was so enlightening. Our guide was fun and so proud of the eco-friendliness of her country. She was always there for anyone with a question or in need of help. The star of the trip, however, is the country itself. Iceland can be barren and similar to a moonscape, yet nurturing and warm as her people and the Blue Lagoon. The geological formations are spectacular. All in all the trip should be on every ones' bucket list. Gate 1 is a great host for this country.

We had a really great time.. It was more like an adventure than a trip. The Blue Lagoon, geysers and Northern Lights were all fabulous.

Our trip to Iceland was magical! We loved every aspect...the people, the hotel and staff with the amazing breakfasts, the tour guides, the northern lights, the volcanoes and the lava fields and rocks, the icebergs, the mountains, the roaring waves on the black sand beach, the museums, the weather with snow, hail, sleet, wind, beautiful sun all in the same days, the beauties of Rejiavik including the harbor, the city, Hofie house, the magical church built in 1974, and the food. A magical trip to a once in a lifetime adventure.

We had a phenomenal trip! Everything about Iceland was amazing, and we were so happy with everything. The hotel was great, it was very conscientious to have the bus pick us up right outside our hotel, and the tour guides were so informative. We will absolutely be heading back to Iceland through Gate 1 in the future!

Outstanding!! Tours were excellent, hotel was perfect, no problems at all. Iceland is an excellent destination, but bring tons of money as it is really expensive, especially dining.

Gate 1 was awesome in choosing tour guides, hotels, airline, and even bus drivers. The tours were awesome, we got to see everything we wanted to and it was easy to get on the bus in the morning. The hotel, and airline were great as well! I will definitely recommend Gate 1 Travel again, and I hope to be booking with Gate 1 again sometime soon! Thank you so much for everything!
