Our trip was amazing!!! Josep Tio, our tour manager was absolutely fantastic!!!! This was perhaps our best vacation ever!!! We are so happy we chose Gate 1 Travel and selected Spain as our destination. We saw so many beautiful places as well as learned about Spain's history and culture. I am sure every one of us will remember this vacation for a very long time. In the meantime, we can reminisce about eating olives and Manchego Cheese in Puerto Lapice and having churros dipped in hot chocolate in Barcelona.

We had a wonderful trip, thank you! It was sort of the Reader's Digest of Spain, but that is what we expected and why we booked this particular trip. We wanted to get an overview of the country, and now that we have visited, we can go back to those places we really liked to spend more time. I can't say enough positive things about Peter, our guide. He was fabulous - very knowledgable and helpful. He did everything he could to make our trip as easy and pleasant as possible. Our drivers were excellent and the accommodations were very comfortable for the most part. This was our 2nd trip with Gate 1, having been to Peru in 2014, and we were not disappointed. We will travel with you folks again and will tell our friends what a great job you do. Thank you again!

It was an excellent trip. The tour director, Carlos, made it an exceptional experience. He did an amazing job running the Gate 1 program. His coordination of meals, hotel check-ins, luggage and buses arrangements very professional and easy to follow. Carlos excelled with restaurant recommendations (to the best restaurants and to local eateries) and in making sure we had easy to follow directions to and from our places of personal interests. We felt he cared to make sure that all the people on tour were enjoying themselves. We were very pleased with the Gate 1 tour and that Carlos was our tour director.

The trip was excellent and our tour guide, Rui from Lisbon, was outstanding. He made the tour educational, entertaining and very comfortable for all participants. We could not of asked for a better tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour and of course this guide to anyone interested in seeing this part of the world. Thanks Gate 1 and Rui.

We had a wonderful time.  We have used other travel companies for past travels and can see a big difference in the value of Gate 1. We had much better hotels and they were all located in great areas. Susana, our tour manager, was super. She was always very helpful and accommodating to all on the trip. Due to her knowledge and passion for her home country, she made this trip our very favorite. Gate 1 Travel will be our travel company for future trips.

Thanks for your help in making our trip happen.

The trip was great!  I really don't have much to complain about. Pablo, our guide, could not have been better! Met some wonderful people. Food and hotels were outstanding. All tours and planned events went off without a hitch. I certainly would not hesitate to recommend Gate 1 to friends and I look forward to another Gate 1 trip in the future. Thanks!

We enjoyed the trip immensely.  I think in large part due to the efforts of our Tour Guide/Manager.  Felipe not only did what one would expect, but took the time to provide suggestions and directions for our free time. He was attentive to all the needs of the individual members on tour as well as the group as a whole.  His pleasant and gentle manner made each day of the tour wonderful.

The trip was nothing short of FABULOUS! Our guide RUI was a walking encyclopedia! The group was a little larger then expected but, everyone was very respectful of time! Hotel accommodations were superior.  Surprised at how many women travel alone! This was my first venture. Hope to travel again with Gate 1.

The trip was great.  The itinerary of Gate 1's 10 Day Classic Portugal is excellent and well planned.  It covers all the must-see and essential sights of the country.  I actually joined this tour two years ago and enjoyed it so much so I decided to do it again for the second time this year.

Although the tour was a repeat for me it was still very interesting to visit all the sites again.  Different tour manager has their special way to present the commentary.  I still learned a lot of new things from Rui, the tour manager, this time.  He is very informative, friendly, and helpful.

Surprisingly, I ran into my previous tour manager, Andre, from my last trip this time as well as the local guide in Lisbon, Pedro. during the tour.  I could not believe that they both remember me.

It was a great trip once again.  I strongly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see Portugal in depth.

We had a wonderful time.  Alex our tour manager was the best we have ever had (and we have had a few).  He made the trip very informative and comfortable.  His energy level is amazing - he took the time to interact with everyone and always had excellent suggestions for free time, dining, etc.   He made Spain a very special place for us.

AND the sun shone every day (except departure day)
