Our unguided (no tour manager) trip to Barcelona was wonderful! My wife and I both had some trepidation before going. We had not traveled without a guided format in decades; that forced us to do our homework and plan out our days. We were able to spend more time at the sites that most interested us. We ate at hole in the wall restaurants that knocked our socks off. We went beyond our comfort level, and had an experience we wont forget. Thank you Gate 1!

As usual, Gate 1 did an amazing job. The hotels were all very good, especially the gorgeous one in Madrid. Our guide, Armand, was fantastic. The love of his country of Spain came shining thru in all the insight and enthusiasm that he shared with us. He was very knowledgeable and since I love to learn, he did his job well. In a short 11 day trip we were able to see the highlights of each of the cities. I lost my jacket on the first day and he was able to track it down and have it shipped to our last hotel in Barcelona.
