Superb!! This was by far the best guided tour vacation, well planned & educational. Our tour director Rui was extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, personable and brought Portugal’s cities, historical sites to life for us. Everything was expertly planned. The tour buses were modern, clean & comfortable as well as our hotel accommodations! The breakfast & dinner menus were absolutely delicious (wine w/dinner)!! Our diverse group of 40 were a joy to be with --- interesting people from all walks of life---many were Gate 1 alumnis. My daughter, Angela, and I look forward to touring with Gate 1 again. Greece, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Thailand. Who knows?? Actually, we’re going to Dubai w/Gate 1 in March 2020! Thank you Gate 1 for making this vacation one of our most memorable!

Teresa and I had an amazing vacation, due in part (a major part) to Gate 1. The tour guide, the bus driver, the fellow travelers, the bus, the hotels, the meals, and the daily tours far exceeded our expectations, especially mine. Armand the tour guide was the BEST! We became friends with all our fellow travelers, most of which had traveled on Gate 1 trips before. We look forward in future Gate 1 vacations and working with you.

Trip was fantastic in every way. All local guides were great, weather was perfect, our tour guide Andre was beyond incredible for his professionalism, humor and knowledge. Fun to be with at all times and took care of any issues that we had. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea!

My wife and I very much enjoyed our vacation. What made it extra special was our tour guide, Rui. Rui was very professional and had a wealth of information about his country to share with us. Excellent guide, highly recommended!

It was amazing!! Our tour guide Sandra was the best one I’ve had so far. All the guides on my past trips were great but she was by far exceptional. Her knowledge and personality made it the most enjoyable time ever!!

In addition, she tended to every detail flawlessly from start to finish. Our accommodations and tours exceeded expectations and everything was well planned and organized. The trip was great! We had an amazing time. Everything went so smoothly. Hotels were great, food was great and our tour guide Roberto was amazing. We definitely had a great time and will be using Gate 1 again!

It was nothing short of awesome! I loved the rich history of Portugal and Spain; so interesting to learn of the melding of cultures and religions. The architecture was spectacular! Our guide, Luis was excellent, and very accommodating and helpful! I cannot say enough about how good he was! This was my third Gate 1 tour. I was very satisfied and will definitely travel with Gate 1 again. I would return to both Portugal and Spain in a heartbeat.

We had a great time while on NCL cruise visiting Barcelona, Morocco and all Canary Island ports. It went beyond our expectations and we are glad we took this opportunity to explore these places. The Norwegian Cruise was exceptionally nice and enjoyable in every respect. They were very precautionary of health & safety and well being of all guests and they provided us lots of choices for food, drinks and entertainment. We came home happy travelers and without any regrets. Thank you Gate 1 for making this trip memorable for us.

Our unguided (no tour manager) trip to Barcelona was wonderful! My wife and I both had some trepidation before going. We had not traveled without a guided format in decades; that forced us to do our homework and plan out our days. We were able to spend more time at the sites that most interested us. We ate at hole in the wall restaurants that knocked our socks off. We went beyond our comfort level, and had an experience we wont forget. Thank you Gate 1!

We had a marvelous time in Portugal. We loved our tour guide, Felipe. He is a wonderful pick for a tour guide. Your company has done a great job in choosing places and hotels ... Needless to say, the trip was marvelous.

I love Portugal! The itinerary was wonderful in highlighting the historic sites, introducing the food of the country, giving passengers a taste of the culture. Moreover, the Gate 1 tour director, Americo, was instrumental in ensuring all of us a fun, educational, and safe trip. He was the perfect leader due to his positive attitude and his passion for his country.

Perfect in every way! Our tour guide, Andres, was superb. That fellow really worked hard to make sure every detail was taken care of. The local guides chosen were excellent and the hotels were all fabulous. We had a really great time and look forward to another adventure with Gate 1.

I had a wonderful and enjoyable trip of Morocco and Spain. Gate 1 has continued to live up to my expectations and I am looking forward to traveling with Gate 1 again next year.

As usual, Gate 1 did an amazing job. The hotels were all very good, especially the gorgeous one in Madrid. Our guide, Armand, was fantastic. The love of his country of Spain came shining thru in all the insight and enthusiasm that he shared with us. He was very knowledgeable and since I love to learn, he did his job well. In a short 11 day trip we were able to see the highlights of each of the cities. I lost my jacket on the first day and he was able to track it down and have it shipped to our last hotel in Barcelona. His customer service was amazing. I have taken several Gate 1 Tours and I will continue to do so, as it is an excellent value and lots of fun too.

The trip was great. Our tour guide Josep Tio Pares was EXCELLENT. His attention to detail was wonderful. His willingness to go the extra mile to make our trip enjoyable was extraordinary. He even gave up his personal time off to lead us on non-tour adventures. An absolute pleasure to tour with him! Overall my experience with your company was excellent. I definitely will be traveling with Gate 1 Travel in the future.

The trip was amazing and above all my expectations! The hotels were all great, the food was fantastic, and the sites we visited were all wonderful. I also liked that we had free time to do our own thing. Overall, the tour was very organized, which I really enjoyed. I also wanted to take the time to recognize Andre, our tour director. He was a walking encyclopedia/history book. He was so knowledgeable about everything. He was also extremely professional and very friendly. He truly made the entire experience more meaningful and unforgettable.

Our Gate 1 trip was excellent with a fantastic group of people. Our tour manager, Amaiya, grew up is Spain and she was well-versed in the culture, history and sites. She is also a wonderful person. We would travel with her anytime.

Our trip was great! Spain and Portugal were beautiful, much more than I expected, and truly two of the cleanest countries I've ever seen and we travel a lot. I can't say enough about our tour guide, Roberto. He was excellent! ... He would always give us suggestions on things to see and do and eat ... Overall, it was a wonderful trip and Gate 1 did not disappoint in any aspect.

We had a great time overall but especially enjoyed the Portugal part. Our tour guides Americo and Catia were very helpful and enjoyable to be with.

Great trip from beginning to end! Beautiful scenery and interesting historical sites along with informative and entertaining guides made for an enjoyable experience. Great hotels and service. Ugo made it look easy driving the bus through some of the narrower streets. What can we say Jose is a traveler's dream - as Tour Director he looked after everything. Everything done with class! It’s one of the best trips that we had with Gate 1 both fun and entertaining but also educational. We learned so much on history culture people and food of Portugal and Spain. Our guide Jose was wonderful and so were local guides.

We very much enjoyed the trip to Spain. The tour was very well organized. In a relatively short time we have seen many historic sites and and had a wonderful culinary experience with local food and wines.
