Enjoy a relaxing drive along the picturesque villages of the province to reach magical Montserrat Mountain. World-famous for its rocky geography, Montserrat beautiful scenery was declared National Park. On arrival, visit the Royal Basilica, with its Gothic and Renaissance details. View the famous 12th-century Romanesque sculpture of "Virgen Moreneta." Learn about the legend of the miraculous apparition of the Black Madonna and Child in the cave of Santa Cova. Spend some free time before returning to Barcelona.
Departs at 9:30 am from Estació del Nord, ground floor, platform 19. Carrer d'Alí Bei, 80. Drop-off to be advised locally. Approximate tour duration is 5 and a half hours.

Embark on a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter. Begin with a visit to the impressive Cathedral of Barcelona. Afterward, continue the walking tour through the oldest part of the city and learn about its historic significance. Stroll down the narrow streets of the Born neighborhood, and view Santa Maria del Mar Church. Then, board the bus for a panoramic tour through the city. See the Olympic Port, the beach and the fisherman's quarter, called Barceloneta. Head to Montjuïc Mountain, home to the 1992 Summer Olympic Games. Ride the cable car up the hill, for spectacular views over Barcelona. At the MNAC viewpoint, admire panoramic views of the city. Conclude the tour with a drive through Passeig de Gracia to see some of the most emblematic Gaudi buildings such as Casa Batlló and la Pedrera.
Approximate tour duration is 4.5 hours.

Take a guided tour of Park Guell, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the city's largest urban parks, a colorful and playful Gaudi creation. On arrival, admire the multi-colored mosaic dragon and learn about the park's history. Continue on to visit the iconic symbol of Barcelona, La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's masterpiece; a colossal church that is legendary and still unfinished. Marvel at the astonishing interior, rich in symbolism inspired on natural wonders.
*Please note that there is a dress code to enter the Sagrada Familia. Shoulders, back, and stomach must be covered and shorts and skirts should come to mid-thigh. See-through clothing will not be permitted. Hats will not be permitted except if worn for health or belief-related purposes.
Departs at 11:00 am from Gaudí Experience, Larrard street n. 41. Tour ends at Sagrada Familia. Approximate tour duration is 4 and a half hours.

It was fab!!! The food, wine, culture, architecture, the people - all wonderful. Loved that pretty much everywhere they accepted CCs, so there’s minimal need for currency. We visited 3 cities - Porto, Lisbon & Sintra. All wonderful with their own scene. Thank you for setting us up with such a great trip Gate 1!

Our unguided (no tour manager) trip to Barcelona was wonderful! My wife and I both had some trepidation before going. We had not traveled without a guided format in decades; that forced us to do our homework and plan out our days. We were able to spend more time at the sites that most interested us. The trip was amazing value. Truly, we can't figure out the math to understand how you can offer such a trip for that cost. The hotel was very nice, in an excellent location and we all had a wonderful time. We will be on Gate 1 again in May and have converted our friends as well.
