This active program covers a good amount of ground each day. Expect from two to three hours walking on some touring days. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps and significant slopes. When visiting Machu Picchu, please be aware that walking sticks are not allowed in some areas of the archaeological site and must be carried in a backpack. Prescriptions are required for walking sticks to be allowed at the Machu Picchu archaeological site and must be rubbed tipped. Also selfie sticks are forbidden and only folding umbrellas are allowed. A few early wake-ups, some at 5 or 6 AM, as well as one long 10-hour drive to Puno are necessary to cover the territory. The altitude, 11,000 feet in Cuzco and 12,400 feet in Puno, may be a consideration for those who have heart conditions or are otherwise affected by height. We suggest you check with your health-care provider before signing up for this tour. Some hotels in Puno are built in the traditional local style and have no air-conditioning. During heat waves, these hotels can become uncomfortable, even at higher elevations. This is a Classic program. For more information, click here.
This 11 day "on-the-go" program features the highlights of Peru in an active itinerary which includes several walking tours as well as some early starts and long days.
▲ Due to the high elevation, travel in the Peruvian highlands may cause some passengers to experience the temporary effects of altitude sickness. If you have any concerns about traveling to higher than your accustomed elevation, please consult your healthcare provider. |

This is a unique chance to peer into the daily lives of the indigenous people. Next, visit the colonial town of Maras, known for its nearby salt evaporation ponds in use since the time of the Incas. Try the local chuta bread and enjoy this colorful market where you will experience many new things. Later, head to the local Cuzco cemetery, where you will learn about the Andean understanding of life and see how the locals decorate the graves with gifts and food for their dead. It is traditional belief that the dead eat and drink as they would during life. Washington is an excellent guide. He is very well organized, even with all the changes due to the closure of the airport. His language skills are perfect. We especially appreciated the extra information and experiences he provided as a local resident. He went out of his way to ensure everyone had the best experience possible. He even arranged for my kids to attend a local soccer game after the tour was completed. Our luggage was damaged during one of the flights and he ensured that claim was filed correctly and followed up with us after the tour was completed. His care for people didn't apply to just the tour group. He was passionate about the education and wellbeing of the Peruvian children we encountered at our stops. He is the type of person you want representing your company. Percy and the local guides were also very knowledgeable and did a great job making sure everything went smooth on our trip. The bus drivers were amazing, especially Ernesto. Maneuvering the large bus through the areas that he did, under those traffic conditions, is beyond belief. It's the people you hired in Peru that made this the excellent trip that it was.

Absolutely outstanding! We loved this trip! And we are grateful for the awesome people at Gate 1 from the agents to the tour guides to the logistics team. What a great company!

I just wanted to let Gate 1 management know what an amazing Tour Manager/Guide Maruicio was. I cannot say enough good words about him and I cannot image a better Guide! He was VERY organized and communicated each day's plans very well. He watched out for all of us his Tour like we were his children - making sure that we were all satisfied at restaurants - talking to staff to make sure everything was what we ordered and coming to us in a timely manner. He was very entertaining which helped make the longer bus trips go by quickly. He was also very patient with all of the people on the tour even when some didn't follow directions very well. He went above and beyond his required duties giving us little treats from time to time. He sold me on Gate 1!

Yes, I recently got back from and Bolivia trip and I would like to mention that it was an excellent experience. I loved the different sites and activities for every day. The Tour Manager, Roger was excellent. He kept every day interesting and moved at the perfect pace. I really enjoyed Perú. The driver Justino, in Peru was very professional. For all the hotels, I loved the ones in Cusco (José Antonio) and the one in la Paz (H. Europa). Another great trip. Thank you.

This is the first time I have traveled with Gate1 and Gate1 exceeded my expectation! The trip was well planned and managed, not only that I got a chance to see many wonderful views of Peru but also learned the in-depth history of Inca Empire. I want to praise my tour guides, Ruben and Percy, who were so knowledgeable, kind, warm, friendly and patience with our group. Ruben took the extra step for us to experience the tasting of a Guinea pig. Percy carried all the backpacks for the elderly while climbing up the hills at Machu Picchu. Also, our fabulous driver Mel kept us safe and secure during out trip. My daughter and I really appreciate their services, their compassion about people and energy during the trip. Because of the excellent experience with Gate1, I will definitely use Gate1 again and have already started recommending Gate1 to others!

This was our first time traveling with Gate 1. We took two back to back trips to Peru and then to Ecuador. I can't say enough about the quality of this tour. Special kudos to both our guides, Edgar in Peru and Giovannah in Ecuador. They were both incredible. So proud of their countries, their home towns, their history and genuinely happy to share all of that with us. Giovannah especially went above and beyond to make sure that all went smoothly with so many changes of locations and types of areas. She handled the varying ages and abilities beautifully as this was a very active trip. I was impressed that no job was beneath her and ensuring that each person had a wonderful time was clearly her goal. Based on our experience with these two trips and wonderful tour managers we are already looking at our next Gate 1 trip!
Kathy C.
I wanted to write to praise our tour manager Edgar C. Edgar was a consummate professional - so knowledgeable about Peru. He clearly loves and is so proud of his country and his heritage. His year's of experience and his personal love of Peru's rich history and culture made our trip that much richer. He managed all of us beautifully, brought the group together and provided so many wonderful insights. I also appreciated the individual tour guides specific to Puno and Lima. They added to the experience and the level of education and information shared with us.

Prior to the pandemic, we had traveled several trips with Gate 1. This was our first trip post pandemic with Gate 1 and it was one of the best trips we have ever taken with Gate 1. Both of our tour managers, Jose and Gary were the very best we ever had! It was like having your own tour guide for each segment of the trip. They truely cared about the traveler and wanted to share everything about their country with you: the food, the culture, the environment, their lives, it was like having a family member with you. It really appeared to us that during the time that the pandemic shut down travel, Gate 1 used this time to better understand it clients and improve their services so that when travel resumed, our experience would be better than prior to the pandemic. And it was. To say that Gate 1 upped their game would be an understatement. We have another trip booked with you this September and we can't wait, Gate 1, you have won us over for all of our future trips. Your tour managers, your support, your selected hotels and agendas are top notch and I would recommend you to anyone that is planning to travel the world. Thanks Gate 1 for being a much better travel service than prior to the pandemic!
Ted S.
This is my first time travel with Gate1 and had a wonderful experience. The trip is well planned and managed, and I got chance to see many wonderful views and places, and enjoyed my travel a lot. Especially, I want to praise my tour guide, Victor, who is so kind, warm, friendly and patience with our group. He is very considerate and provide all the supports, guide and help we needed during the trip. My friends and I really appreciate his services and his passion and energy during the trip. This trip has been such an amazing experience to me and I already start to plan my next trip with Gate1!
Ji G.
We just traveled last week, Ecuador and Peru. It was a very nice travel. Gate1 did a fantastic job, from the airport to the hotels, to the tour. Everything was very smooth and relaxing. Thank you Gate1. I will travel with Gate 1 again on our next vacation.
Carlos I.
My family and I had a wonderful time in Peru!!! We are so happy we traveled with Gate 1. Our tour manager, Americo, was fabulous and was the best tour manager anyone could ask for. Being a native of Cusco, Peru, Americo helped us see Peru from the perspective of someone who truly loves his country as well as Gate 1! We had fabulous bus drivers during our travels. My family and I felt secure and safe during our entire trip! Americo is a genuinely nice person. We would love to have him as our tour guide for future trips. Our hotels were amazing, especially Inkaterra Machu Pichu Pueblo Hotel! Americo's promptness and planning allowed our tour group to enjoy all the wonders of Peru. All of Gate 1 staff during our time in Peru were gracious hosts. They were helpful and educational. Our stops in Peru were all amazing and well planned. Updates by Gate 1 prior to our trip and during the trip were informative. We were sad when the trip ended.
Beth Z.
This trip was beyond amazing! Peru has so much to offer and our guide, Ruben, was wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. He took us to wonderful restaurants, had great recommendations about what to do in the villages/cities during our leisure time, and even took it upon himself to walk around with a few of us during leisure time. Julio, our assistant tour manager, was also very knowledgeable - he and Ruben worked very well together! My partner on the trip got some altitude sickness symptoms and Ruben took wonderful care of him. Ruben made sure there was never a dull moment because he took the time to tell us stories and teach us about culture as we traveled from one destination to another. Beautiful hotels, especially Inkaterra! This was a great experience to practice my Spanish with locals (Ruben and Julio also both helped me)! I was pleasantly surprised about how seriously Peru took Covid precautions and was happy to comply. I have loved all of my Gate1 trips (I believe this was my 4th), and I recommend Gate1 every chance I get! Hope to travel with Gate1 again soon!
Aubryn S.
Recently returned from Peru -A Hotels trip. I must commend both Edgar and Marcos as our leaders. They BOTH went above and beyond throughout the tour, but especially at Machu Picchu, where Marcos assisted several of us who were stressed due to altitude and terrain. He personally guided several folks individually to ensure their safety. He was the "million dollar man"! Edgar was simply stellar throughout. He used repetition to stress the important points and it worked. He is a jewel of a person. His tour of the Cathedral and Museum in Cuzco was the finest I have experienced in more than 20 years of touring churches. His nickname is 24/7 and it's true. He phoned each room at every stop to ensure all was OK after checking in each hotel. He is a 5 star employee and you should be very proud of Edgar.

We LOVED Gate 1. It was our first time traveling with them and it was SUPER!! Every detail was well taken care of and provided for. I felt very safe and comfortable in a foreign country where I cannot speak the language. I was concerned over what I might encounter but Gate 1 completely took care of any concerns. We had a fabulous trip and I will certainly travel with them again and again!! Our tour guide, Washington was WONDERFUL!! So informative and dedicated to our trip. He took a personal interest in each person on the tour. He presented the culture in such a personal and sincere manner. I learned so much from him. He was so helpful and available for every question, concern or thought. Very knowledgeable. He also made it fun with his sense of humor and insight. His assistants were likewise as marvelous! Ernesto, Roberto, Alexis and even the bus drivers were EXCELLENT! Thank you GATE 1 (and the Peru tour guides) for making our trip a FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!
Catherine E.
One can't but love our Tour Guide, Ruben. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable and professional but also has a GREAT sense of humor. It was obvious that he would do anything and everything to make sure we had a safe and wonderful experience. This was my first Gate 1 tour. IF the other Gate 1 Tour Guides are half as good as Ruben, then I'm sold on Gate 1. That's how impressed I was with Ruben. I was also impressed with our Driver, Julio. THANK YOU, RUBEN AND JULIO!
James F.
Our 14 day Peruvian Legend trip was very beautiful. We learned at lot of stuff about the history and culture of Peru. Our tour guide Victor was very knowledgeable about the history and culture and he explained and took care of us very well. I would recommend this trip to everyone. Machu Picchu was the highlight of this trip. I also enjoyed Lake Titicaca with Uros floating island made with totora reeds with the uros inhabitant and totora reed boat.
Meena S.
I had such an amazing time and experience during my trip to Peru. The program itinerary was immersive and very engaging. Many thanks to our extraordinary and exceptional tour manager, Raul Fernando and his team, Julio, local guide in Cusco, Broz, local guide in Puno and our super driver, Ernesto. The entire team, with Raul Fernando's leadership, was exemplary. They made sure that everyone was safe, especially during this time of pandemic and constantly reminded everyone to be careful and sanitize our hands everywhere we go. Each tour member was provided hand sanitizer as we board the bus and required to wear masks. Each hotel has mats entrances to sanitize footwear. Some of the hotels sprayed alcohol on our clothes (front & back) and anything else we are carrying as we enter the hotels. Hotel restaurants have tables set far apart. The government of Peru requires masks even outdoors and double masks in all indoor places, with some places requiring face shields in addition to the double masks. I felt safe the entire trip and truly had a memorable experience. Many thanks to the local team for also having a very organized Covid testing for our return trip. I hope that I will have the same memorable experience on my upcoming trip to Iceland.

Our trip to Peru was supposed to be a girls trip to Amsterdam but COVID hit and that trip was canceled. So the 3 of us kept looking for another Gate 1 trip and the 10 day Peru trip popped up on the Gate 1 site. We decided YES this will be our girls trip. What a great vacation and outstanding tour guides. Our guides were so knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. The activities were the best. The hotels were OUTSTANDING. As 3 ladies leaving our husband's at home we requested 3 beds and each hotel accommodated us. The food in Peru was delicious as it was fresh daily. Of all the places we went I personally loved the floating islands at Lake Titicaca best. Yes we went to Machu Picchu and that too was amazing. I can't say enough about Gate 1 and our 10 day trip. You made each of us feel like family and met all out needs. We were pleased to see that Gate 1 helps a school in Peru. This is another reason they are #1.
Catharine V.
Every aspect of the trip was great. Well organized, great tour manager, good accommodations, good food, and amazing country. Overall a very good experience.
Madhavi P. Dublin, CA
It was fantastic! I couldn't have been more pleased with our tour manager, accommodations, food, etc. Our entire group was thrilled with our trip and we are making arrangements to travel to Ireland next September. I have already made our reservations and am contacting others in our group so they can make travel arrangements. We couldn't have done it without Gate 1. I would like to commend Rene, our tour manager, and Ernesto, our driver for the excellent service they provided to us. They were so accommodating to our group and had everything well organized. They are definitely an asset to your company and I would highly recommend them. Job well done! Looking forward to our next trip.
Paula D. Waynesville, OH

Dang N. Montreal, Quebec
Our trip was excellent. Americo was our tour manager and He had an excellent team to work with. They were always looking out for every person in our tour group to make sure, we all were safe and comfortable at all times. Thank you!
Silvia H. Davie, FL
Our trip to Peru with Gate 1 was one of the best tours we’ve taken. All the hotels were four star rated. The sights (Machu Picchu, Eros, and Colca Canyon) were fabulous, the food wonderful, and the people very welcoming to tourists. Our tour manager Abel ranks as the best we’ve every had with Gate 1. Abel was friendly, very knowledgeable, approachable and above all a “fixer” when it came to minor issues that occur during any tour. We can’t wait for our next tours to Egypt, Vietnam, and Morocco.
Victor C. Folsom, CA
Excellent trip ! My first time with Gate 1 tour and I am very impressed. Our tour manager Henry is excellent, very good: knowledgeable (knows his stuff well), helpful, reliable there all the time, very organized and excellent management of the tour, responsible, looks after everyone, very conscientious and friendly, motivated, caring, kind-hearted, generous, honest.... what more can I say. Can't find any tour manager better than Henry ! He made our trip so very enjoyable, no stress ! Will not hesitate to join Gate 1 tour again.
Philip C. Richmond Hill, Canada
The trip was a outstanding! As always, lots of moving around but worth every moment of it. Pavel keeps things smooth, entertaining, and educational. He is truly committed to Gate 1 and creating amazing travel experiences for his guests. The group blended so well, that it made it difficult to leave. My Peru travel family will always be remembered.
Vanessa G. Laurel, MD
We had the time of our lives! It was the best trip we have ever been on! The food was amazing and Abel our tour manager made the trip into a magical experience! He was very knowledgeable, kind, very aware of our needs and made our group feel as if we were a family. He made the trip the special experience it was. Richard the helper was also excellent, always helping us down steps, always asking what we needed. He, Abel, and Julio the bus driver made a great team! This is our first trip with Gate 1 we will definitely be back! It was an amazing trip and please let Abel know that he brought the beauty of the Inca people into a magical reality with his wealth of knowledge ! Thank you so much for such a wonderful trip!
Pamela D. LeRoy, WV
It was definitely the trip of a lifetime! My partner, Mark, and I have been dreaming of crossing Peru off our bucket lists for some time now and it was as amazing as we could have hoped for. The energy of our entire vacation felt magical, from visiting the bustling city of Lima to the rural highlands and everything in between. Our tour guide Pavel was so passionate and informative, shucks even the other couples we met in our group quickly felt like close friends. Gate 1 had all of our needs taken care of, transportation/hotels/dining accommodations went smoothly so we could focus on experiencing this together worry free. We couldn't be more delighted.
Dainan M. Upland, CA
The trip was outstanding. The guide, Edgar, and his assistant, Henry, couldn’t have been more helpful or knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone considering a trip to Peru.
Ruth M. Henderson, NV
It was lovely! Rogger and Pepe were wonderful, handling anything that came up and making sure we were all well looked after. Jose, our Lima guide, was excellent and Victor, our driver, navigated those mountain roads so well. A beautiful country with a rich history and culture. Machu Picchu was amazing!
Kathryn C. British Colombia, Canada
The trip and hotels were great. Edgar, the tour manager is very professional. Gate 1 is a very organized and efficient traveling company. We are so impressed. We love Gate 1!
Peter C. Greenvale, NY
Our trip to Peru and Machu Picchu was fantastic! My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves immensely .... Our tour guide was always looking out for our safety. We stayed at very comfortable and clean hotel, ate at restaurants with delicious local cuisine, and our helper and bus driver were the best ... We also had the good fortune to travel with a wonderful group of people. The whole experience was so much more than we expected. Thank you for a trip that will stay in our memories forever!
Denise H. Blairstown, NJ
This trip was very interesting, many historical sites to see. It was very well organized, without needing to worry about anything. And our tour manager, Alejandro, was amazing - patient, caring, funny; would not be the same without him. It was my first trip with Gate 1 and I truly enjoyed it.
Irina C. Santa Clara, CA
I want to take this opportunity to tell how much I enjoyed my recent trip to Peru. I can't imagine what could have been done to improve my experience. First of all, I must commend our tour guide, Ronald, who bent over backward to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. His concern and compassion are beyond reproach. He was easily accessible at all times if there were questions or issues. A native of Cuzco, he certainly knew his stuff, and his knowledge of the history of the various regions was complete. He made the complications of the itinerary (transfers, etc.) so simple. The optional excursions were great, and Ronald seemed as excited as we were to visit these places. He's also simply one helluva nice guy. His job is not an easy one, but nothing clouded his focus to offer us the best experience ever. This was my first Gate 1 trip, and I've already booked a 12-day tour of Germany for May, 2019. I also very much appreciate that Gate 1 offers a reasonable single supplement, so helpful to those of us who must travel alone. Thanks for a memorable experience. I'm spreading the word about Gate 1.
Ramon G. Milwaukee, WI
I wanted to share that my trip to Peru was my first trip with Gate 1 Travel. I wanted to share that my experience was nothing but wonderful ... Ruben Aragon demonstrated such passion, patience and a love for Peru that it made my trip that much more amazing. We were able to see a lot of what Peru had to offer, talk to and interact with the local people of Peru. I felt safe, heard and really taken care of throughout the trip. Great job Gate 1! I will definitely be booking through Gate 1 again. Thank you

The trip was fantastic. It was well organised and our tour guides were great. Raul Callapina the Machu Picchu and lake Titicaca guide was very enthusiastic and passionate about Inca culture it’s ‘contagious’. Abelardo our Amazon guide was great in showing us interesting places. Gate1 is travel is #1.

We had a wonderful time. Can't think of a single complaint. The food was excellent, the hotels were stunning and the trip was so well organized and run. Our tour guide Hector was outstanding and we will certainly keep Gate 1 in mind for all of our future tours.

The service provided by Gate 1 travel exceeded our expectations and was top notch quality, we had a great time in Peru, all the arrangements including transportation, accommodation and sightseeing were well taken care of which also included bottled water for everyone on a daily basis. Everything as stated in the itinerary and more.

This was my 8th Gate 1 trip and probably one of the best ... It is the first trip that I feel that I was really immersed in the culture of the country. Juan, our tour manager was one of the best. He was kind, helpful, intelligent, funny and energetic ... The bus drivers and local guides were some of the kindest I have encountered. I can’t say enough about Peru, the Gate 1 employees and Gate 1 in general. Oh and I must not forget the people who picked me up and dropped me off at the airport. What gentlemen. They were also so helpful. Thank you so much Gate 1

It was amazing right from the start ... Our Tour Leader Rene, was terrific, very knowledgeable and plenty of expertise with the whole group. The guide in training, Yutber, was also exceptional and will go a long way with your company The driver Ernesto, and all the local guides were exceptional, and yes I remember most of their names starting with Richard, David, Jamie and Mauricio. Each had abundance of knowledge for their particular areas. We had a wonderful time with the major highlights being Machu Picchu and of course the floating islands at lake Titicaca ... This was our first time with Gate 1 Travel ... I am certain that we will be travelling with you again.

The trip was outstanding. It was well organized, and the service provided by the Gate 1 staff was exceptional. I also would like to send our special thanks to the tour manager (Marcos Farfan) and his assistant (Paul). Both made the experience of entire trip so pleasant, inclusive, and enjoyable. This is the first time we joined the Gate 1 tour and certainly will not be our last. Thank you! Job well done!

We loved this trip to Peru! My wife and I were accompanied by our two adult daughters. All four of us had a marvelous experience. Our tour guide Mr. Rolly Carasco was outstanding. He is passionate about explaining Inca history, customs, religious beliefs, and the role of the Spanish Conquistadors' devastating impact on the original people of the region ... Machu Picchu was more thrilling than I expected it to be. The other highlights: Cuzco, the floating Uros Islands, the visit to the school classroom, the Central market vegetable stands, and so much more. We would all enthusiastically recommend this trip ... We are already discussing and planning for our next Gate1 excursion.

Our trip to Peru was outstanding. I fell in love with Machu Picchu, Peru in general with it's beautiful scenery, and the people. Our tour director, Marcos Farfan, was wonderful! His ability to speak Quecha allowed us several very special opportunites, where we were able to visit the indigenous people in their work and home environment. One special memory was stopping by a family, out in their fields attending to their crops ... Marcos's ability to communicate with the family allowed us to see a real family in their natural environment. I am 74 and Marcos's helper, Alexis, helped me get to the top of the mountain so I could see the view of Machu Picchu, I had dreamed about all my life ... Every part of our trip was wonderful both for me and for my 23 year old granddaughter. It was a trip that transcended our ages and held wonder for both of us ... Thank you, Gate 1 for another successful trip!

Fantastic. Our guide was great, providing a terrific amount of historical and cultural information. He kept us on time, and was very patient with some of the more challenging members of the group. His assistant Algusto (sp?) was very supportive, friendly and provided additional information of great interest. Highly recommend this tour, and the guides provided.

My trip to Peru was great. I really enjoyed it. Pavel our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable ... Also, great was the bus driver and Pavel's assistant, Fredy ... Overall, I came back very glad that I took the tour. I have traveled with Gate 1 before and must say that I am glad I did. I'll be on the look out for other tour offers and I wish that Gate 1 gave a little discount for previous travels.

Hi Maria We had a fantastic holiday. Being first time users of Gate 1 we are super impressed with the service and tours. Mauricio Gomez was outstanding. Having travelled previously with Scenic tours, Gate 1 is incredibly good value and the service provided is excellent. We are looking at signing up for the Vietnam tour next year. Regards and thanks for all your assistance in organising the trip, flights, etched. Great job

It couldn't be any better. Had a fantastic time! Peru is beautiful and fascinating, and our tour guide, Rolly Carrasco made the trip super. Everything was well organized, drivers were great and the hotels were nice and comfortable and well located in the city. I could highly recommend this tour and your company to anyone, who is planning to go to Peru.

The trip was wonderful! Mauricio lived up to the Gate 1 standard for tour managers. His knowledge, wit, patience, and concern for our safety and comfort were exceptional. Hotels were first class and staffs obviously deferred to Gate 1 travelers. Furnished meals were excellent, as were Mauricio's recommendations for meals on our own. The small size and diversity of this group made the experience even more rewarding. I would emphasize...All in all, definitely more of the world for less, and a great value.

Our trip was excellent. This was our first Gate 1 trip and we were highly impressed. The trip was well coordinated and seemed to flow seamlessly. Our guide, Roger Salas, was first rate ... the best guide we've ever experienced. He made everyone feel welcome and special, was extremely knowledgeable, and took care of us like a mother hen. We're also impressed that Gate 1 supports some institutions in Peru such as schools, and, of course, local families who provided a local meal. Five stars to you. We'll surely sign up for other Gate 1 trips

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip to Peru. It was packed with fun, challenging activities & I will be recommending Gate 1 to other people (in fact, I already have). The trip was even more enjoyable due to the expertise of the tour manager, Arturo Espinoza. He was very knowledgable and professional. Arturo was very personable and charming, he was extremely helpful to everyone. He managed to keep the group together & he guided us through every itinerary smoothly. Arturo is a definite asset to the Gate 1 company and our group was lucky to have benefited from his guidance. I'm looking forward to another Discovery Tour in the near future.

We recently had an excellent experience on the Peruvian Legends trip, our second Gate 1 trip. The group of 12 travelers blended well together for a congenial two weeks. Our tour director, Arturo Espinoza, was excellent. He had a vast fund of knowledge about Peru, especially the Cusco and Machu Pichu regions. He was highly organized yet pleasant and helped the group dynamics. He was quick to take initiative on local issues and made us feel very comfortable in his country, Peru. A great trip overall and we will return to Gate ! in the future!
