Please note that Ramadan is observed from April 2 until May 1 in the United Arab Emirates. From sunrise to sunset, eating and drinking in public areas are prohibited but are allowed in restaurants and hotels. At least one restaurant located inside of the hotels will remain open during Ramadan and food courts in shopping malls are open for tourists. During the evening (after sunset), restaurants are open for dinner. Eating and drinking are then allowed in public areas, alcohol is allowed to be served in the bars and restaurants. Background music may be played at bars however nightclubs with DJs and live bands are not allowed during Ramadan. On the optional Half Day Desert Safari with dinner the belly dancers following the Tanoura dance show are unable to perform through Ramadan and alcohol will not be served during this dinner.

After pickup from your hotel in Dubai, we drive past Jebel Ali Port - one of the finest man-made ports and Jebel Ali Free Zone. Abu Dhabi, also known as the Arabian Jewel, is the home of the Ruling family and a center of oil and trade commerce in UAE. We first stop at the Louvre Museum of Abu Dhabi. Take time to tour the museum before continuing along the city's glamourous Corniche, pausing at the Breakwater for photos of the city's skyline. After lunch on your own, visit Zayed House for a fascinating peek into the life of the late Sheikh Zayed, "Father of the Nation". Finally arrive at the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, an iconic symbol of Abu Dhabi. Return to Dubai via Yas Island, where the Ferrari World theme park and brand-new Formula I race track is located.

Continue to the Jumeirah Palm, a man-made island, which was built in the shape of a palm tree, known for its posh residential buildings, villas, and luxury resorts. Upon entering the island, board the Palm Monorail which will take you to the far end of the palm. Marvel at the stunning views of the island as you ride high above the ground. The next station will be close to Atlantis hotel for a photo stop before you continue via Sheikh Zayed road to the world's tallest tower Burj Khalifa. After exploring on your own, return to your hotel.

Upon reaching the Bedouin campsite, you'll be welcomed with traditional Arabic coffee and will have the option to ride a camel. Then, enjoy a specially prepared barbecue dinner. Later, enjoy a Tanoura dance show, then watch as a captivating belly dancer enchants you with her swirling dances before returning to Dubai.

A visit to Sharjah is not complete without a stroll in the souks, where you can bargain for jewelry, handicrafts, and carpets, among other specialty items. Visit the Souk Al Arsah, the oldest in the country, and Souk Al Markazi, the largest souk in Sharjah with over 600 shops where you can bargain to your heart’s content.

Incredible time in Dubai! Did not know how this independent trip would be since we always take guided tours. Our stay in the the Novotel was wonderful, welcoming staff, clean and pleasant facilities, amazing breakfast! We were also happy that there were a few good restaurants, markets and the metro within walking distance. The optional tours were interesting, varied, and reflected the culture of the country. So glad to have booked all of them! The guides were punctual and professional. Needless to say each time we travel with Gate 1 proves to be an adventure. Interesting to note that we went with another couple we met on previous Gate 1 tour. Have recommended Gate 1 to many friends and family. Looking forward to Japan in April.
