How do I access my Future Travel Credit?

  1. Log-in to your Gate 1 account
  2. Select your original reservation number, eligible reservations will display as Future Travel Credit
  3. Follow the prompts on your reservation to Activate Your Credit 
  4. Select a new tour and departure date
  5. Select airfare or book your tour land only
  6. Reconfirm passengers travelling 
  7. Finalize your reservation

What if my new trip is more or less expensive than the value of my Future Travel Credit?

If your new trip costs more than the value of your Future Travel Credit, the remaining balance will be due on your new Final Payment date.

If your new trip costs less than the value of your Future Travel Credit, the remaining credit value may be used towards additional services on the new trip (airfare booked closer to departure, optional tours, etc.).  Remaining credit value is fully refundable.


What if flights are not yet available for my new tour date?

Flights cannot be booked more than 11 months prior to the date of departure. Booking with airfare at this time will guarantee your air and land price from the departure city listed on your package highlights. Once flights are available, we will contact you to review itinerary options from the included gateway and/or your preferred departure city.


I don't see my original trip available for the future, can I book another trip?

Future Travel Credits may be applied to any destination and for departures through the end of 2022. The majority of our 2021 tours are on sale and available starting July 1, 2021.  2022 & 2023 departures are being added regularly.  Egypt tours, with departures starting Fall 2021, are coming soon.  Independent vacation packages will be added in 2021.


I have an Air Credit and a Gate 1 Future Travel Credit on my reservation, how do I use either or both?

Future Air Credits are applicable per airline policies. Many airlines are still finalizing their conditions for rebooking and updates have been frequent. Please contact one of our reservation agents at 215-572-7676 to review the most current policies to use your Future Air Credit.


Why are there no dates on sale before July 1, 2021?

Gate 1 wants to welcome you on your next trip as soon as possible. We also want our guests to be comfortable traveling en-route to your destination and on a Gate 1 tour. At this time, we are only taking new bookings for July 1, 2021 and after. 


I had a Promotional Code discount on my original booking. Can I use it for my new reservation?

Previous discounts are not transferable towards your new trip.  We have restarted some of our marketing activities, to see the list of our current deals, click here.


I had a credit (Refer a Friend, Survey Completion) on my original booking. Can I use it for my new reservation?

Account credits that had been applied to your original reservation have been returned to your account and will be available to be applied towards your new reservation.


I'm ready to book another trip, but what are your cancellation or rebooking terms?

We recognize that these are still uncertain times which is why we have created a new Flexible Change Policy:

  • Free change of date or destination up to 60 days prior to departure
  • Rebook or convert into Future Travel Credit valid for travel through 2022
  • Changes valid for Land Tours, River Cruises and Airfare
  • Cancel up to 72 hours prior to departure with optional Cancel for Any Reason Trip Protection

Flexible Change Policy does not apply for the following destinations: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, India, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Russia, Uganda, and Passion Play 2022.  Prepaid instant purchase airfares are subject to airline-imposed change and cancellation fees.  If the rebooked package is priced higher than the original booking, passengers will be responsible for the difference in cost.  Promotional discounts are not transferable towards future bookings.  Passengers may make one free change prior to final payment.  Further date or destination changes after the first rebooking are subject to standard Terms & Conditions.  Purchase of Cancel for Any Reason Waiver allows you to receive a credit equal to the full cost of your Gate 1 travel arrangements, less the cost of deposit(s), late/amendment fees, and insurance premium cost.


What is Gate 1 doing to ensure my safety while traveling?

Our first priority continues to be the health and safety of our guests, team members and the communities in the places we visit.  As we begin to see restrictions ease and countries announcing border openings, we are committed to only operate tours when we are confident it is safe to do so.  We continue to monitor each destination alongside our local partners and will be making some changes to our tours to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. As we get closer to departures we will communicate specific guidelines based on destination and with consideration of CDC, WHO and the ECDC best practices.


What happens to the Trip Protection (Insurance) that I initially purchased?

Travel Insurance will automatically cover the new services booked. The premium paid for the insurance may change based on the value of the new booking. Optional Cancel for Any Reason is also available to be added to provide more flexibility. Click here to learn about Trip Protection.


I didn't book with Trip Protection, can I add to my new reservation?

Yes! While finalizing your reservation you will be prompted to select your Travel Insurance option. Optional Cancel for Any Reason is also available to be added to travel insurance to provide more flexibility.

Why can't I see specific flight details for my new trip?

Airlines typically finalize their schedules 11 months prior to departure. Airfare listed on our site is based out of the default gateway and we are unable to show airfares from your hometown until flight schedules are finalized. If you chose to book airfare out of the default gateways you will be contacted with flight options once airfare becomes available. 

 


Can I change travelers on my reservation?

For any changes to passengers currently booked on a reservation, please contact one of our reservation agents at 215-572-7676.
