  We are pleased, after an eight year break, to bring back programs to Egypt. Egypt’s history and cultural remains have not changed, however recent political events have left their mark on daily life. You may see more armed guards or less than you might expect. Security is of primary importance and we encourage you to travel in groups and not alone. Consider the local dress code and watch your diet. Eat cooked foods only and stick to bottled beverages. Hotels and ships are working hastily to bring services to demanded levels, however some common comforts such as air-conditioning and hygiene may be weaker. Due to the the proximity to the Sahara Desert, local winds and heat, sand and dust seem to be everywhere.
  
  This program allows the flexibility to explore on your own. Hotel locations, services and amenities differ according to the Plan. Read the descriptions in full and locate the hotels on our provided map to ensure the Hotel/Plan you select meets your desired criteria. Affordable optional sightseeing excursions are available to enhance your holiday. You will encounter some uneven surfaces, cobbled streets, stairs, steps and significant slopes.
