An extraordinary experience as you enter spectacular Yellowstone National Park, a breathtaking natural wonderland established in 1872 as the first national park in the United States. Yellowstone is home to countless hot springs and two-thirds of all of the geysers in the world, highlighted by its awe-inspiring rock formations and the famed geyser, "Old Faithful". Upon arrival, cross over the Yellowstone River into the Lower Loop. Continue towards the Hayden Valley to see its incredible thermal features. See the Mud Volcano, with its rhythmic belching of steam and flashing tongue of water. The caldron exploded onto the landscape in 1948, blowing trees out by their roots and covering the surrounding forest with mud. All the while, be on the lookout for bison, bears, elk, and eagles in this sweeping glacial valley

Continue to the Lower Geyser Basin to Fountain Paint Pots along the Firehole River. After on to the highlight of the day - legendary "Old Faithful". The thrilling eruptions shoot up into the air approximately every 90 minutes as high as 184 feet. Enjoy free time on the site to hike, have dinner at your leisure and see the eruption one more time. En route to your hotel, cross the Continental Divide - here, water flows on one side to the Gulf of Mexico, and the other side flows to the Pacific Ocean

Our trip was wonderful! Every part of it was positive and memorable ... Keri-Lyn F., our guide handled every detail of our trip in the most professional manor, kept the group in beautiful harmony with a personality that all the group were extremely pleased. Her knowledge of Alaska and her presentation was not only informative, but was laced with delightful stories of her own experiences as a native Alaskan ... But honestly, she is almost impossible to describe...she's that amazing! We appreciated her and respected the job she did beyond words. We hope that our attempt to let you know what a special tour guide you have in Keri-Lyn will be passed on to the upper management at Gate1.

Our Alaska trip was flawless! ... Our Tour Director, Keri-Lyn F., was an Alaskan native who was well versed on the many attractions we saw and was able to give us a personal account of growing up in our 49th State. We all also agreed that the accommodations and the itinerary were superb. The Denali train ride, the Tundra Wilderness Tour and the Seward boat trip were the favorite part of our visit.

We had an incredible tour guide in MaryAnne. She kept things interesting at all times, took great care of us, very upbeat and personable, and we absolutely loved her! Looking into an Alaska trip next year with Gate 1. Keep up the great work!!

It was a great trip. The selection of stopping points, Hotels and pit stops, was very good if with great variety. The driver was excellent. He knew his route and handled the vehicle extremely well under all conditions. The guide Juan was exceptional. Although he was from Mexico his diction was flawless. Many times accents make comprehension difficult. This was NEVER an issue with Juan. He knew every location and could provide details of every area that we traveled through. He was able to present the itinerary in a clear concise and entertaining manor. We enjoyed the trip immensely and would recommend it.

This was our first guided tour, and we were somewhat nervous, however it was a perfect vacation. Our guide David, affectingly became known as "Uncle Dave", was amazing and went over and beyond. He was extremely informative and was always available for any questions. Uncle Dave used his own personal time on our days and evenings of leisure to ensure that we had a great time. He took a group of 40 people that were strangers and of varied cultures and somehow made everyone feel that they were family and connected. Lee, the bus driver, was amazing. I am terrified of curvy mountain roads, however I felt safe with Lee. Lee was very friendly and polite, as well as informative. The hotels and meals were all very good for the price that was paid. My husband and I will be using Gate 1 again, and are recommending Gate 1 to all our friends. Every aspect of this vacation was wonderful, reservations are very easy to make, the trip itself was fantastic and the price was very reasonable. Thank you Gate 1 for providing such a great experience. Looking forward to our future adventures with Gate 1.

From start to finish this was a wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable vacation. Our tour guide Danielle (Dani) was a delightful, super efficient, tour guide who always had a smile on her face, could fix any issues or problems quickly while making it all look effortless. She was extremely well versed on information on all aspects of the sights we were seeing or going to. We learned a lot of facts and history while journeying along from stop to stop. We had a fresh supply of cold water available each and every day, as well as snacks for longer times on the bus, before meal destinations were reached. She was a true gem. Our bus driver John, was a super bus driver, and drove the mountain roads with skill and care always with his passengers safety first and foremost. Our day in Yellowstone with our Park Ranger, Kimberly, was yet another information packed day. We never would have learned so much and seen so much without her. It was a great addition to our tour. This was our first “bus tour”, and would take another with Gate 1 again. The ease of entering and exiting all the parks and venues was again, one of the highlights. Parking, entrance fees, etc. was all handled as we watched single cars search for parking spots and wait in line to pay fees. All and all, it was truly one of our best vacations and we look forward to joining another Gate 1 tour in the future.

Trip was fantastic, made so by our tour director, Kerry. He was very organized, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and always went above and beyond to show us everything he thought we might be interested in, and made everything we did fun. He is passionate about the outdoors and the parks and that made the trip. In our opinion we could not have had a better leader. He organized speakers that were extremely interesting, especially Peter the Navajo Code Talker, as well as a dutch oven lunch and picnic lunches so we could spent more time seeing everything. Our bus driver was amazing as well. She handled that bus with amazing expertise, and was always happy.

Trip was great and we had a fantastic time. From the red rocks of Sedona to Old Faithful and Mt. Our guide, Leslie, was terrific, so personable, organized and informative on the areas we visited. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone considering seeing the national parks. Our trip was just wonderful!! Probably one of the best we have been on including Gate 1. The hotels were just great & your Tour Manager Kris Kimball & bus driver "T" could not have been better. Took care of everything from start to finish. She was so helpful & the Gate 1 Team had really done their homework of all the Great & Unusual places we visited & ate our meals. New Orleans was great-only place we would have added was visit to WWII museum, Baton Rouge was marvelous but our favorite was Thurs. March 23-Cajun Country-places we visited like McGee's Landing, Vermilionville, Martin's Accordion Center, and dinner at Randol's ALL VERY UNUSUAL & A REAL TREAT, Of course the Tabasco factory a must (main reason we went, just sorry they were not bottling on our day & wish we could have had a guided tour); New Orleans Cooking School & Farewell dinner with Kevin Bolton a real treat!!! he was marvelous & the food just great!!! All in all beyond our expectations!!! Again Kris was GREAT & "T" marvelous...Optional tours were just grand!! Laura Plantation & Nottoway Plantation well worth the cost!!!

The trip to Copper Canyon exceeded our expectations. At the top of the list of excellence was the Tour Manager, Bacho, who handled all details of the trip from start to finish with efficiency and attention to detail. The hotel rooms were above expectation; the meals were delicious; the itinerary was spectacular, the motorcoach was comfortable, and the interaction with other travelers was delightful. (The weather was a bit colder than expected … but that was the only downside to the trip.) We’ve done a lot of traveling around the United States and the World … and this trip was one of the best. The scenery was breathtaking as we rode the train through this section of Mexico and it was fascinating to interact with the native Tarahumara people in the Canyon region. All other activities on the tour were meaningful and worthwhile. What a marvelous way to celebrate our 48th Wedding Anniversary. Thanks to Gate 1 for their coordination of the trip and thanks to Bacho for his knowledge, his enthusiasm, and his personality.
