Our tour was fabulous. Our tour Manager Timothy was great and had a lot of attention to details. He also stop in some bonus places that were not in the schedule, provided educational material like videos, music for us to learn about the culture of the indians, cowboys, etc. He really showed that he cared for us to be able to enjoy a great tour. be loves his job, we can tell. All the hotels were great, specially the Little America. They gave us a special rate for those of us that had to deal with the hurricane in Florida and stayed an extra night or two. The hotel provided extra breakfast tickets, and the personnel were outstanding. I would stay in that hotel anytime. The driver Mike was also excellent and we felt safe with his driving skills. Also a very nice person. As always Gate 1 scored a 10 out of 10 on this tour.

Greetings, It was a pleasure to see this part of the country. Our driver, John and Tour Leader, Andrew, were great, along with the frequent stops to photograph the natural wonders! I would only wish that we had had an extra day for the charming town of Jackson Hole.

The trip to Hawaii was wonderful. The itinerary really gave us the opportunity to see and learn about Hawaii with its colorful flowers everywhere, waterfalls, mountains, and volcanoes. The hotels were nice and comfortable. The included meals were great (other than a cold boxed breakfast). Everything went smoothly including bus pickups, admissions to parks and sites, and flying to the two islands. Esther, our tour leader, was well organized and the bus drivers/tour guides were very knowledgeable about Hawaii and what we were seeing. We especially liked visiting Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri and Volcanoes National Park. The Luau was nice too, and just a short walk from our hotel. Thank you for putting together this amazing trip.

I have been on 5 Gate One Trips. The tour manager for this southwest parks tour, Garrett, was the best I have ever had. He provided us with so much information, facts, and history of the areas we were visiting. He showed us relevant videos, maps, and pictures. When at the national parks, he didn't just point out the trail to take.....he led us on the entire trail and pointed out things for us to see. He was concerned about our comfort and health during 100 degree days, and altered schedules and stops to accommodate the heat. I hope I can travel with Garrett on another trip.

The trip was awesome! Beautiful scenery, great weather, clean air, and no humidity (or mosquitoes). What really made the trip special was our tour guide, Elias and the bus driver Steve. They kept us all well informed and entertained. Would love to go on another trip with those guys again.

I want to write a personalized recommendation about Dani, our tour guide for the recent Michigan-Detroit-Mackinac Island- Chicago trip. Dani was outstanding and very detail-oriented. We experienced the culture of each place we visited through the food, the extra videos she provided about Mackinac Island, and the recommendations she gave and helpful tips about time use while on our own at each location. I cannot praise her enough for her astute leadership. I'm signing up for two more GATE1 trips for next year!

We recently returned from Alaska's Natural Beauty Discovery Tour. We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our vacation. From the time they picked us up at the airport until we finished our tour everyone was professional and courteous. Our tour guide, Liz, was wonderful. Her knowledge of the area was superb. She was always concerned about the safety of the group and went out of her way to ensure everyone had a wonderful time. She even organized optional hikes on our free time and went with us to ensure our safety. When our plane ride was canceled due to inclement weather, she organized a glacier walk to fill the void. We really enjoyed that part of the trip the most. I hope you will let her know how much we appreciate all she did for us. We would also like to complement our driver, Steve. Not only did he keep us safe on some pretty difficult roads but he always helped us on and off the bus to ensure our safety. He also lives in Alaska and had a lot of incite to all the areas we visited. He and Liz work so well as a team that they really enhanced our trip. We have been on 10 Gate 1 trips but this combination of tour guide and driver were the best we have ever had. We would really appreciate it if you could let them know how much they were appreciated. They did an awesome Job!!!

We had the most fabulous time! The places we went to were amazing! Aaron, the tour manager was incredible! He went above and beyond, to make it wonderful for all of us. Dave the bus driver was fantastic too! Definitely will consider another Gate 1 Travel trip!

My wife and I just returned from our trip to see some of the best US national parks. Our guide was Kerry with Mike the driver. What an exceptional trip! Kerry provided so much valuable information, I started to think that he lived in the parks. He led us to so many beautiful sites that I did not know existed. Now when I see a national park, I will have such fond memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

It was great! Our group had so much fun with the beautiful sceneries in Banff Alberta. We loved our Tour manager, Gary M. He was so connected to the group, very pleasant, of course knowledgeable of the places we were in. He answered all questions with spontaneity. We loved that he gave us recommendations how and where to spend our "own time " hours. I find the pace of the tour, relaxed, no pressure at all. Hotel Accommodations were first class including the food. We enjoyed our first tour with Gate 1, that we booked our second tour already lol! We are looking forward to our Danube River Cruise in July 2023!

I just came back from the 5 day Canadian Rockies Express tour and had to express how much I appreciate our tour guide, Gary. He was the most amazing individual who was able to deal with all types of people with grace and kindness and always had a smile on his face. Everything was fun with him. This is my second Gate 1 tour but I have toured with other Vendors and he was by far the best I have met. Our first night in Calgary, he offered a voluntary tour of the city which he provided to us on his own time. He was very knowledgeable and extremely entertaining. A few days later, he provided a picnic spread at his expense which was extremely generous of him!!! I would like it if he would be my tour guide for my next trip with Gate 1!!!

Our trip was great and very exciting. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was well planned and entertaining. Our Tour Manager Aaron did a wonderful job and certainly trip exceeded my expectations. The experience from the beginning with you helping with the bookings and valuable advises then help with the air bookings and rest Tour Manager Aaron made whole trip like a dream. Trip to Mt. Rushmore to Salt Lake City was FANTASTIC! Tim is one of the best guides I have ever had; I have been traveling with Gate 1 over 25 times and Tim ranks way up high mainly because he is very organized and he provides us with a lot of great information and keeps us entertained with DVDs that is relevant to our trip during the long drive from one state to another. Excellent job Tim!

Our trip to Hawaii was fantastic. It exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Keala, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable of the islands, its history, culture and beautiful plants and flowers. She always made herself available for any questions or assistance. We came home with special memories of the islands and making new friends. Thank you, Gate 1, for offering this trip.

We had a wonderful time on our Calgary to Vancouver trip! Everyone in our group was SO nice, and we met many lovely Canadians along our route. We can't say enough about our Tour Manager, Greg. Simply wanting to take the initiative to express our appreciation for our tour guide Deanna! She was a blessing, excellent in every way, highly professional, knowledgeable, fun, had a great personality, caring and a wonderful sense of humor. With all her responsibilities, logistics, etc. she maintained a joyful spirit & therefore, created a joyful atmosphere throughout the trip for us all. Our Hawaii trip was amazing and our fellow travelers were among the nicest people which whom we have ever traveled (this was our 8th Gate 1 trip). Our tour leader, Esther (AKA Keala, her Hawaiian name) did a great job keeping this large group on track. While Gate 1 had noted there were no official transfers at the origination and departure airports, Esther went above and beyond to help people arrange travel to the airport (OGG) from our departure hotel in Lahaina. She also was helpful in coordinating our luggage and check-in processes for our two flights during the tour (Oahu to Big Island and Big Island to Maui). This was greatly appreciated and made those two flights so easy for us travelers. As with our previous 7 Gate 1 trips, we felt safe and in good hands throughout. Thank you, as always, for a memorable experience.

I'd just like to say that our tour guide, Keala, was fantastic. She was terrific in letting us know "local" flowers/trees/reptiles/mammals/places/museums/stores/historical sites/restaurants/etc. She was very immersed in the Hawaiian culture. Keala used Hawaiian words and explained their meaning. Keala also had a wonderful sense of humor! Keala celebrated people's birthdays and an anniversary. She helped "herd" all 39 people into a cohesive group. The bus and van drivers she chose were also an asset. They were safe drivers and well versed in the sights along our route. Also, Keala, had a gentleman shadow her as a future guide. She gave him a few opportunities to speak/sing that enhanced our experience. He was a success. Overall I'd give Keala an A+!

This was my 1st tour with Gate 1 and I was not disappointed! Garrett, the tour guide, was knowledgeable, articulate, approachable, fun to be with! It was such a pleasure to be a passenger in a comfortable "coach" driven by Mark. He did a suburb job of keeping us on schedule and proving a great ride. The natural beauty of the areas traveled was so vast and staggering. I enjoyed every day of the tour as it unfolded. I look forwarded to scheduling another trip with Gate One Travel.

Just completed a Canadian Rockies tour on July 17. The trip was wonderful. I would like to highly recommend our tour guide Chris and bus driver Binnnel. Everything about the tour was smooth as silk. Chris has exceptional knowledge about the Rockies and the history that goes with it...not to mention his uplifting personality that just blended everyone in our group to make the perfect tour. This has been my 4th Gate 1 tour and will certainly consider another one in the future.

It was great. Garrett and Mark were awesome. The scenery was amazing also. This is our second Gate 1 trip and enjoyed both of them so much.

Our trip was great! We loved the Denali train ride, the boat rides in Kenai and Seldovia, and the hike to see Exit Glacier. Also enjoyed the places we stayed and the food we ate (although perhaps Anchorage Sheraton was a bit farther to walk to town, but still manageable). Our tour guide, Betsy, and driver, Debi, were awesome. Great scenery in Alaska makes wonderful pictures. We loved the fresh air of Alaska. The little bit of rain did not damp our trip, we did mostly everything. It was a wonderful trip! We're glad we went!

My travel partner and I both want to give the highest compliments to our tour guide in Canada, Jeff. His extensive knowledge, personal experiences and love of the area of Canada we traveled through made the trip exemplary! He was always positive, had a great sense of humor and played fun videos, song play lists and games during some of the few long bus days. He even provided fruit, vegies and Canadian maple cookies for a lovely picnic by a lakeside park on the way to Kamloops. This was my 3rd Gate1 tour and the guides have all been awesome. However, Jeff was above and beyond the others!

Skye and Ken were the most professional, competent, pleasant guide and driver ever. I would be thrilled to travel with either or both again!

Gary is the best tour manager we have ever had - he made our travel very enjoyable and easy. We had four hotels on the road and his organization and distribution of room keys and getting everyone oriented was smooth. We knew what to expect at our stops along the Canadian Rockies, he planned ahead if we needed to grab lunch so that we could see and experience another magnificent view, making the most of our time. His stories and pride in Canada made us feel at home. His laughter and joy of travel was infectious and made everyone relax and enjoy our time together. Gary is a treasure!!

We had a wonderful time on our 8 Day National Parks of Canada with Lake Louise trip last week. We have not stopped talking about it. We saw so many places that we would not have found on our own. We enjoyed everything, but our favorite was the excursion on the Ice Explorer onto the surface of the massive Athabasca Glacier where we got out and walked on the ice. Glad that we brought some cold weather clothing! We loved the quaint Alpine town of Jasper where we enjoyed a Greek meal for lunch at a local restaurant. Our Tour Director, Tina, was amazing. She kept our group on track, told us the history of all the places we were going and made sure everything went smoothly. Our bus driver, Binil, was so friendly. He drove our bus in a very safe manner and always extended a hand as we exited the bus. This is sure to be a trip we will always remember.

I would like to make sure that Gate1 is aware of lucky they are to have Laura as one of their guides. She was absolutely incredible. I have never, and probably will never have another guide that was as tremendous as she was. She brilliantly answered every question, made everyone in the group feel safe, and our pick up times, locations, etc we're all so perfectly clear. SHE was a highlight of the trip to be honest. I had a fantastic and life changing time. Fell in love with Canada and can't wait to come back! Thank you!

We had a great time on this trip. It was refreshing to get away from the Texas heat and see all the beautiful flowers. It was suppose to rain most days and it only sprinkled one day in Quebec. Our guide Laura and bus driver Betty were a great team. They were organized, on top of things and were generous with their help and their snacks. They smiled a lot and had a positive attitude. I loved the richness of Canada's history and loved the outdoor cafes. I learned a lot of new things about Canada and was reminded of things I already knew. The local guides were great, especially Ottawa, Quebec, and Montreal. The meals provided by Gate 1 were above average and good choices for everyone. We even got to indulge our hockey fantasy because our hotel was hosting the draft. We highly recommend this tour for anyone who has not been to Eastern Canada or for someone who wants a taste of Europe without crossing the ocean. By the way we had no airport issues.

My husband and I recently returned from a 9-day Canadian Rockies tour with 36 other state-side folks and our fabulous Tour Manager, Micky. At our first night group meeting, we looked like a motley crew and I thought there was never going to be connection or cohesion. Over 8 days, Micky herded us kittens into a wholly unified, fun, chatty, and synced group through his seat rotations on the bus, tall (and small) tales, personal time with each guest, and his knowledge of his beloved Canada. Another complementary component was our Golden Arrow coach driver, Kong, who along with Micky, was amenable to scenic detours, had great stories, and knew us by name and luggage by Day 2. On the last day of the tour, my husband and I ate breakfast with Kong and we learned that this was the first time he and Micky had worked together. Kong told me that he loved working with Micky because Micky put his guests' needs above his own and Kong said that always made for a great tour. We loved our first Gate1 tour and hope to become regulars once we retire. Thank you for providing wonderful personnel, great accommodations, and delicious meals so we could enjoy Mother Nature's beauty and bounty.

The trip was fantastic! Tim and Grace were excellent trip leaders and brought a sense of humor and a great educational experience to the trip. I learned so much about the geography and history of Yellowstone, especially, that it made viewing deep canyons, waterfalls, geysers and animals so much more than seeing what the area is like today. I've already recommended this trip to many of my friends who are very excited to look into it on the Gate 1 website.

Our tour guide, Tim, was exceptional, keeping us well informed, on time, handling all our issues, and responding to all our questions. We had a great time; Gate 1 Travel came through for us again. Our guide Francis was the best, he is a credit to his profession. He was very personable, knowledgeable and took care of all the small details. He made the long bus trips pleasurable, entertaining and informative. He provided us with perfectly timed breaks, special treats and stops to show us breathtaking views. The hotels we stayed in were very nice. This is something Gate 1 could have easily cut corners on to save money, but you did exactly the opposite and put us up in first class hotels that were situated in the heart of the cities we visited. I was a little concerned living in and out of a suitcase and staying only 2 days in 4 different cities, but that also turned out well and gave us a good taste of each city we visited. We will come back to Gate 1 Travel for any future vacations.

It was wonderful! Adrienne was a terrific guide and very knowledgeable about the region. She was congenial and very informative and did a great job leading our large group. Bill was a great driver and always ready to help. The meals and hotels were exceptional and the National Parks were all we expected them to be...each one unique and beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour!

I would like to thank Mary Ann and Jimmy for making this trip wonderful. Mary Ann is extremely knowledgeable and very caring. She always made sure we knew what to do during free time and gave us handouts/maps to help us to decide. I frankly think that she is one of the best tour guides I have ever travelled with. She handled the day we had to all test for Covid with caring and made sure we did not miss any of our remaining travel experiences. What can I say about Jimmy. Great driver and just a nice person. The coach was immaculate and comfortable. My thanks to Gate 1, our drive Jimmy and Mary Ann for making this trip a great and memorable experience.

This trip was one of the best vacations of my entire life. Tour Manager Lori , and our motorcoach driver Keith, made the trip magical with their personal insights into Louisiana and recommendations for places to eat, and experiences to pursue during free time. Lori was a true professional, easily rolling with changes to itineraries and changes through no fault of Gate1. Lori's ability to think on her feet salvaged a potentially disastrous scheduling mess at the State Capital by the capital tour guides. Throughout the entire trip, Lori and Keith both made us feel like we were their personal guests. They both genuinely cared about each of us in the group. Keith consistently went above and beyond to make sure he could drop us off and pick us up at the most convenient locations, especially in New Orleans during the French Quarter Festival, which shut down several streets. The good times definitely rolled thanks to Lori and Keith!

I've just completed my 41st trip with G1 and my first domestic tour - A Musical Journey though the South - I have completed the survey with glowing marks but wanted to express my thanks for an incredible trip - so much fun and got to go to cities I have never visited and it was a musical and Southern education! Highlights - the Grand Ole Opry, making a CD at RCA Studio B in Nashville, seeing where MLK Jr was assassinated in Memphis, Graceland of course, home of the King of Rock and Roll, the amazing BB King Museum in Indianola and jamming with a blues singer, and of course New Orleans, looking real good after all that has happened to it. Our tour manager Tim was fantastic, and taking a tour during this pandemic you know that if it goes without issues that the constant attention to detail by the tm is one of the reasons - it was flawless in every way! With driver Jimmie they were a superb team - it was super fun and we laughed a lot and sang and danced and just felt great joy - cannot beat that! The hotels were lovely and the changed hotel that we stayed in - the Hampton Inn in Ridgeland/Jackson, Ms is a keeper - probably my favorite on the whole trip - lovely and in a great location with good food options for dinner a short walk away and super helpful staff. Have another USA tour coming up in July and so happy that my first domestic one went so well - not that I had any doubt that it would not! This was a wonderfully paced, well put together trip that covered so much and some great experiences. Thank you for that as experiences are what life is all about!! On to the next one!

I just finished the 7 Day Affordable Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches & Grand Canyon National Parks (Sunday Departure) tour. This tour totally exceeded my expectations! In addition to the parks listed in the title, we saw two other National Parks (Capitol Reef and Canyonlands), two Utah State Parks (Dead Horse Point and Goosenecks) and a Navajo National Park (Monument Valley). Kerry was a terrific tour manager, he was very knowledgeable about every park and more than willing to answer our frequent questions with understandable explanations. He also helped pass the long bus drives with his silly jokes and puns. Unfortunately two members of our group had a family emergency and had to head home early; they said Kerry went above and beyond helping them with their travel arrangements. I am very glad Mona was behind the wheel, it was clear from the very beginning of the trip that she was an expert driver, and as a bonus she had a delightful, friendly personality. My favorite park was Bryce Canyon, closely followed by Arches and Capitol Reef. However, the true highlight of the tour was our guest lecturer Peter , who was one of the WWII Navajo Code Talkers. Only four of these men are still alive, and to hear his story and be in his presence was an honor and a privilege. And there was one additional bonus on the drive back to Las Vegas to catch our flight: a comfort stop at Seligman, Utah, which is on the fabled Route 66! What a glorious seven days; thank you Gate1!

I just wanted to express my sincere thanks and compliments for a job well done! Our tour director Marianne was wonderful -- she is knowledgeable, personable, warm, compassionate and enthusiastic.....everything one would want in a tour director. And Lupe, our bus driver, was terrific too. In addition to being an excellent driver, he was so friendly and polite. They made a great team! The tour of the Utah National Parks and Grand Canyon is spectacular! Once in a lifetime, bucket list material. And Marianne and Lupe made it even more special. Thank you for an extraordinary trip! I can't wait for my next Gate 1 Travel adventure!

Our 11 day Pacific NW tour was great! Yes, there were Covid related challenges, but our tour mgr. did a great job navigating them. Favorite restaurants were closed or only doing carry out service. Some information spots were closed, but she secured Park Rangers to speak with our group, or show videos on the bus. Hotels and many other places are short staffed, so patience is a virtue. We are so glad we were on the tour, even with the challenges. And as always, we met so many wonderful people.

So nice to be "on the road again" after the Covid shut down. Had a great time on our recent early September tour of the Canadian Maritime Provinces. Excellent work by our tour guide Julia and Bus Driver Steve made the tour very memorable. Julia assisted with the additional Covid testing requirements and made the processes as painless as possible. So many places we visited were thrilled to have American bus tours operating again. The people were all so welcoming and gracious. The scenery, food, drinks and Hotel accommodations were beyond expectations. For anyone thinking of traveling again, we highly recommend this tour. We have another Gate 1 Tour scheduled next month and can't wait.

In September, my wife Cathy and I traveled to Yellowstone and Mt Rushmore with Gate 1. We had a delightful time and saw and experienced more than we expected. The accommodations were outstanding, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. This was our second trip with Gate 1 and look forward to travel next year with Gate 1.
