The Deal

From the stunning Arenal Volcano to the town of Monterverde, you'll see the varied landscapes of a country that is roughly 25% protected national parks. En Route to Arenal, stop in Sarchi, Costa Rica's most famous artisan town, where you will see traditional colorful oxcarts and souvenirs. Spend time at leisure in Arenal, famous for the Arenal Volcano, and perhaps join the optional Cano Negro boat tour. Embark on a brisk 2 mile walking tour of the Las Coladas trail in Arenal National Park, with an option to participate in a rugged hike over the ancient lava rocks.

Travel to the stunning Cloud Forest of Monteverde, home to over 700 species of reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds and plants. Enjoy a tour of a traditional Costa Rican coffee farm, then perhaps join an exciting tour through the canopy of the Cloud Forest on a zipline adventure. Head back to Costa Rica's capital city, San Jose, and explore the city independently, possibly visiting some of the city's many restaurants, bars, art galleries and museums.
