Hawaiian Resort Fees

A resort fee, also known as a facility fee, a destination fee, an amenity fee, or a resort charge, is an additional fee imposed by hotels on guests, usually calculated on a per day basis. These fees cover a range of services provided by the hotel, including but not limited to fitness facilities, internet access, newspaper service, phone calls, in-room safe, in-room coffee, 24-hour front desk, pool, and business center. In most locations, these fees are subject to sales tax or hotel occupancy tax.

It’s important to note that resort fees differ from service fees. Service fees are additional fees and are considered 'optional' for services or products that guests select to use, such as later check out times, mini-bar items, or in-room movies. Service fees are not included as part of your package price.

Resort fees are mandatory and are typically added to your final invoice upon check-out. All resort fees and inclusions are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
