Safety

- Do not cross between floats or chase throws in the street
- Do not walk with or touch bands, dance teams, or krewe members
- Throwing items back at floats is illegal — $250 fine
- Avoid sanitation crews and their equipment after parades
- Be alert and safeguard your belongings
- Report suspicious activity to public safety officials
