DAY 3, Saturday - Full Day in Rome
Today is free to explore enchanting Rome on your own. Perhaps, join the optional Vatican Museums Tour. This afternoon, take a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and Michelangelo's incomparable Sistine Chapel. Your local guide will lead you into the museums, where you'll visit one of the most important art collections in the world. Admire the Gallery of Tapestries and the Geographical Maps before arriving to the famous Sistine Chapel, with its great frescos by Michelangelo. Stroll through St. Peter's Square, passing Bernini's famous colonnade to view St. Peter's Basilica

DAY 4, Sunday - Full Day in Rome
Spend the day at leisure. Perhaps choose the optional Pompeii & its Ruins with lunch from Rome. Depart Rome in the early morning for a drive along the Highway of the Sun, past the Roman countryside and the scenic regions of Lazio and Campania. Admire the views of the Mediterranean and the still active Mount Vesuvius, as you learn how people lived in ancient times, before reaching the UNESCO Archaeological Site of Pompeii. Explore the ruins of this city trapped in time after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. After lunch drive back, returning in time to enjoy your last evening in Rome

DAY 5, Monday - High-Speed Train to Milan
This morning, transfer on your own to the train station and board the high-speed train to Milan, the fashion capital of Italy. Upon arrival, make your way to the hotel with the remainder of the day at leisure

DAY 6, Tuesday - Full Day in Milan
Spend the day at leisure, perhaps join the optional City Sightseeing Milan Hop On/Hop Off Tour - 1 Day Pass. This Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour provides a great way to travel around Milan and see all of the important sights. Set your own pace, getting on and off at any of the stops as often as you wish. Shop, see the city's landmarks and have fun creating your very own itinerary. The tour offers a convenient way to see the Gothic Duomo, La Scala Opera House, and the Castello Sforzesco, among countless other sights of the city

Embark on a guided tour of the city before riding the funicular up to Brunate for sweeping views of Como and the lake. Free time for lunch before departing on a scenic cruise of Lake Como, viewing many of the lakeside villas with their splendid gardens. Return to Como and head back to Milan

Depart Rome in early morning for a drive along the Highway of the Sun, past the Roman countryside and the scenic regions of Lazio and Campania. Admire the views of the Mediterranean and the still active volcano Vesuvius, as you learn how people lived in ancient times. Stop in Naples for a panoramic tour and have a traditional Neapolitan pizza for lunch. Afterward, visit the UNESCO Archaeological Site of Pompeii and explore the ruins of this city trapped in time after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Explore this once thriving city, frozen in time by layers of volcanic ash. The city's sudden burial served to protect it for the next 17 centuries, when it was finally dug by experts and brought back to its ancient splendor. Return back to Rome in the evening.

Approximate tour duration is 12 hours.
